Debbie discovered Jersey Mikes on one of her travels for work. When they opened the one in Palmdale and another in Bakersfield we started coming here for lunch from time to time. We usually get a giant and split it as its cheaper to do that then to get 2 regular size which are just the giant bread cut in half. We have tried quite a few of the different subs but the one we keep coming back to is the original Italian. It has 5 different types of meat and provolone cheese. We get it Mikes way which includes onions, lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar, oil and spices. We always add jalapenos and banana peppers for a bit of a kick. These are probably the best subs around IMHO and they would have gotten 4 stars if they hadn't started to slice the meat and cheeses paper thin. When we first started coming here they didn't slice them so thin but recently they have begun slicing them way to thin. I realize they have to make money but come on just raise the price a bit. I don't like the condiments to meat and cheese ratio to be this bad. Other then that small complaint we like the subs. read more

A few weeks after he moved to California, my boyfriend was shocked and appalled I'd never tried Jersey Mike's, his 2nd favorite restaurant. So we went and I was pleasantly surprised, a little expensive but so much better than Subway. I had a meatball marinara sub for the first time in life here as I always thought they looked rather delish and he had something called A Big Kahuna cheesesteak I believe. My two experiences here have been horrible. The place was jammed packed and an older white lady was screaming at the staff. She was so hostile when she took my Order I legit wanted to walk out. I no longer eat meat but when I did I ordered the turkey sandwich and it was great. I got the turkey sub, my friend got the tuna sub My sub was good but not great my bread was hard in places, overall better than subway. My friend liked her tuna sub, but said she would not be running back anytime soon. Staff was nice but service was very SLOW, took them 15 mins to make 2 subs and we were the only people in line. This place is cool, one of the smallest locations I've been too. The food is great, nothing wrong with the taste. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is because the lack of urgency the employers have when taking the order or making of the order. They're really not in tune while making your sandwich. That's probably doesn't reflect all of the staff JUST the ones who have helped me. But overall it's an awesome place, just need to be more aware of the customers. The 3 stars is more due to there ever increasing prices. I paid basically $9 for a regular sub that was smaller than a subway footlong. Add to that the gal at the cash register asked me to check out before the sandwich was done. Decent sandwich but not remotely worth $9. read more

Tried Jersey Mike's for the first time today. Not really impressed. Bread choices white or wheat, chose wheat...not great. Picked the #9 regular. Liked the fact that meat and cheese were sliced to order. But a lot of bread to meat and cheese. Not much jn the way of choices for add-ons. And there is some weird back taste. Must be something in the "Mike's Way" seasonings. Time from arriving to order to receiving food was too long considering the number of customers and order staff. Cost was over $10 with chips and small drink. For the taste, cost, and service I'll go back to Subway. Didn't see any "quality" difference that would be worth it. read more

I've only been here once and it wasn't the best first experience. Service was standard but for some reason they felt the need to load our sandwhiches up with lettus. I had enough lettus when I was done to make a salad. Its not that I dont like lettus, but when you spend almost 10$ on a sub you would expect a little more meat in it.One of the the other employees of the guy making my sub even commented on how much lettus he put. Pretty disappointed. The thin sliced fresh meat was the only redeeming thing about the whole experience. The bread is no better than Subway, and the selection is a lot worse than any Subway I've ever been in. Toppings were a lot less in selection than Subway. And the service was by far the worst. I tried this place after seeing one of my coworkers eating a sub that looked and smelled pretty good. The palmdale jersey mikes is pretty small but I'm not sure if that's how they all are since this is the only one I've been to but they do have a few tables if you want to eat in. I also like how everything is pretty simple and you can't go wrong with having it "mikes way". I always get my sub regular size just so I can have some to eat later on for a snack lol. The employees are always pretty friendly, once in a while you get a bit of a careless vibe but my sandwich is always good! Roast beef with provolone, mikes Way! Had a funny experience. Ordering my food was fine from the first guy. Second guy was a little off. First of all, he didn't seem to care to be there. Whatever, not my concern. I got to the register to pay and grabbed the size cup I wanted while the employee finished up my sandwich. The cup under the one I grabbed was stuck to it, so I used my index finger to push it back down. I hear "Please don't touch the cups," from the second employee. I guess since I "contaminated" the second cup with my diseased index finger, he HAD to throw it away. "See, now that you touched it, I have to throw it out," half said under his breath. Not sure if this is a new policy that the employees have to enforce - or if this guy just has a weird quirk - but it sorta seems contradictory that customers can't touch a cup within reaching distance, while the lids, straws, and napkins by the soda fountain are free for all. I'll continue visiting the Lancaster location where I'm allowed to touch things I'm purchasing. read more

It sounds to me as if some of these other reviewers are like somebody from their marketing department trying to boost their ratings . . . maybe . . . maybe not - just sayin'. I don't know what these other people are talking about when they say that this place "piles on the meat." I watched them make several subs and I didn't see anything that could be considered "liberal" helpings of meat. The sandwich tasted good enough and I didn't notice any bad service or anything, but nothing was stellar and the price was a bit higher than I expected. When I wanted one of their sandwich club cards, they wanted my phone number!?! Sorry, I don't need anybody selling my number to spam-callers. Change management probably to save a buck well now u wont have too worry about saving money keep this up and youll be out of business. Wow 40 minutes for three sandwiches and nobody in front of us. First and last time here. Placed my order via the app...first big mistake. According to the app, no waiting in line and get you order, again WRONG. Placing the order was a no brainer, picking up my order was a goddamn joke. The line was to the door, I stand under the sign "online order pick up", second major mistake. The dumb dumb at the register never even so much said a word to me but kept taking money from the people in line. After 5 mins of standing there I finally said something "can I pick up my online order, the idiot really rolled her ugly ass eyes at me then took a long and loud breath. She basically threw the receipt at me to sign, threw two sandwiches that were sitting there (these sandwiches were already sitting here when I walked in), threw the two sandwiches in the bag, grabbed the receipt and slammed the bag on the edge of the counter. I asked Miss dumb dumb if I was going to get my other sandwich (I ordered three), she gives me this "I'm sorry your stupid look", then the idiot looks at the receipt and sees three sandwiches. Miss dumb dumb rolls her eyes again and that's when I say "first and last time". I was shocked to hear people in line actually says "yea, you will have to keep giving them chance and hope one of these days they get it right. Miss dumb dumb finally got my other sandwich. No thank you or miss my ass. Got home and good lord...the two cold sandwiches, bread soooo wet and soggy. I can't believe I paid almost $9 a sandwich for wet ass soggy bread. I called the store and got hung up on a total of three time, didn't even have a chance to say a thing. This by far is the worst place ever! You are treated like shit, lots of eye rolling, get your order wrong, no sorry or thank you, get two sandwiches that are not edible and they hang up on you not once, twice but three times.
