The person who helped me was pretty no nonsense and efficient, I guess this is what it feels like if you are actually in Brooklyn? lol There are a variety of lunch specials daily from 11 am - 4 pm, and happy hour with $3 draft beers from 3 pm - 7 pm. PIzza options look really good, whole round pies are 18", 8 slices, and are all about $30. Square pizzas are also about $30 for 8 slices. I ordered the Cajun Bridge sandwich (cold) because I like all things spicy, and I love squaw bread, so this one was calling my name. So glad I did because it was so good and hit the spot! There are two entrances into the restaurant. The counter to order, as well as restrooms, requires you to go down a level, but the left entrance has a lift if you need in order to go down.

In my 20's I lived right up the street and hit them up quite often. I don't get there as much as I'd like nowadays but when I do, it is always consistently great. Times have definitely changed but Connal's quality food and super customer service has not! I am a huge Combination Grinder fan and have not ordered anything different for well over 30 years. They are always stacked with lots of high quality cold cuts and delicious Provolone, crisp shredded Lettuce,thin sliced Onions and Vinegar and Oil on a delicious French Roll. In my teens and 20's I did try many samplings on their vast menu and as memory serves, everything was always delicious. Today's Grinder absolutely hit the spot! It had been a while since I last tasted one but the Combo Grinder most definitely never disappoints. I went for it, and got Zings (Zucchini Sticks and Onion Rings). Super hot, crisp and very tasty, especially with some Bleu Cheese Dressing. Jesse took my order and he was very personable and showed me some excellent customer service.
