My favorite Panda for sure. Best one around for miles. It's because they have a large staff, it's a…read morelarge facility, and the food turnover is quick. Stuff isn't just sitting there for hours like at some of the smaller Panda locations. And there's nothing worse than stale orange chicken! Another bonus is that they have dishes here you wouldn't find at most other spots. That's why they call it the innovation kitchen. They are creating different items and you're their test subjects! Anyway, a good time was had by all!

During my visit, I ordered a Family Feast with chow mein, orange chicken, chicken with green beans, and eggplant tofu. Since I do not like tofu, I politely asked the employee serving me, Austin, if he could provide the eggplant with little or no tofu. Austin immediately told me that he could not do that and that the dish had to be served with tofu. Unsatisfied with the response, I approached the cashier, Hannah, and asked if I could speak with the manager. Hannah responded professionally and asked if she could help first. She listened to my concern, treated me respectfully, and attempted to assist me. I even complimented her by saying that she demonstrated excellent customer service and that I would hire someone with her attitude anytime. After hearing my compliment to Hannah, Austin appeared upset. Instead of focusing on serving customers, he approached Hannah and confronted her. He then went to find the manager, Ken. I found this behavior unprofessional and inappropriate, especially in front of customers. I even have a photograph showing part of this interaction. When Manager Ken came out, I explained my concern regarding Austin's attitude and lack of customer service. After some discussion, Ken eventually agreed to provide the eggplant dish with only a small amount of tofu. This demonstrated that a reasonable accommodation could have been made from the beginning. My concern is not the food itself but the manner in which I was treated. Austin seemed more interested in defending himself and discussing the matter with coworkers and management than serving customers. His behavior created an uncomfortable atmosphere and reflected poorly on the restaurant. I would like this matter reviewed and hope that additional customer service training can be provided. On the other hand, I would like to commend Hannah for her professionalism, patience, and excellent customer service. She handled the situation far better than expected and represented your company well. Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to hearing from you regarding this matter. Henry Aba

Then this was the spot for lunch where we would always get the cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. It's an extremely mom and pop shop. Burgers give the vibes of the hat. If you get the chili cheese fries you gotta get ranch with that. I went recently and the owner and workers are still there even after I've graduated all these years later. I always suggest this place for people in that area. Been going since the 90s, why stop?

Prices are very reasonable, too. Jim's sits in a large strip mall off Duarte Road with plenty of parking. Lots of seating inside. Very roomy and clean. Ordered the following: - Double cheeseburger combo with fries and a soda - 6.5/10: unspectacular, but solid. Reminds me of the burgers at Carl's Jr. and Burger King - a classic style, no frills burger. Cooked fresh, large and filling. Fries are plenty enough for even two people. This is a solid, no nonsense place if you're hungry and on a budget. Check it out.

Soonheene actually started in Seoul's famous Gwangjang Market where they were known for their pancakes, so I was excited to check it out. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Esther (the owner) and her daughter. They both went out of their way to explain the menu and answer all my questions with genuine smiles. That kind of hospitality really sets the tone for a meal. We ordered the Pork Mungbean Pancake, Rose Tteokbokki (creamy rice cakes with fish cake and sausage), Bibim-Naengmyeon (spicy cold buckwheat noodles), and a whole fried chicken split into two flavors. Everything we ordered was delicious and tasty. For half the chicken, I went with the original but added green onion and their special oriental sauce drizzle. The other half was spicy soy garlic. I'll admit, I liked the original better. I second-guessed myself when the owner's daughter mentioned soy garlic was their number one most popular flavor followed by honey butter, but I thought I would be different and try the spicy version. The spice kind of drowned out that garlicky soy flavor, so lesson learned. Next time I am going straight for the soy garlic and honey butter combo. For drinks, we tried the Korean coffee and cold yuzu drink, both refreshing and a nice complement to the food. By the end of the meal, everything was so good that I even found myself asking about catering their chicken for future events. The vibe inside is really comfortable with soft K-pop playing in the background. It is just enough for atmosphere but not too loud, so you can talk easily. The only tricky part is parking since it is in a busy plaza with a lot of other restaurants, but at least it is free. Overall, this was one of the most unique dining experiences we have had recently, made extra special by Esther and her daughter's hospitality. I love supporting family-owned spots like this, and I will definitely be back to try that famous soy garlic and honey butter chicken next time.
