There is this awesome lady at my apartment complex that is super appreciative of the cleaning crew here, wanted to have lunch delivered to all of them (across the st from Jersey Mike's literally) so she went in and they told her she had to order on grub hub. She explained she didn't know what it was so was it possible for them to just deliver this $200.00 + order. They flat out told her no. Didn't offer to assist her on how to download the app (at the minimum) or anything. I would think during a pandemic "local businesses " would be friendlier to customers. I live in Pico Rivera and the location corner of Rosemead and Washington for some odd reason the many times me and my family gone there at 8pm they are out of Bread. You would think they would bake additional bread if they see that they are running out. I've never experienced this at any other location but the one in Pico RiverA. Came by to grab dinner. I was really disappointed that I wasn't warned about there not being more bread options and was given White Bread without my consent. Could of prevented me proceeding with my other and felt like I was forced to purchase it. Costed me nearly $19. I got to my car and was extremely unsatisfied because I knew I was basically gonna have to trash most of my sandwich away due to my diet limitations, and I didn't want to be sent to the ER again due to this. Instead, my boy friend insisted I go back and get a refund, which I did. The girl seemed annoyed, but in the end she could of prevented this when we started the order and asking me what bread I'd like versus assuming I would be ok with what they had left. This location just opened a couple weeks ago. So we came due to coupons in the mail and to of course, try it out. I was observing they cut all the meats to order for every sandwich, which made the wait with two people ahead of us at 820pm at night a bit long I think. I was wondering how lunch time would look here if they only have one meat slicer? But anyways, back to the food. They only carry two breads, so either white or wheat. You can dress up your sandwich however you like or go with "mikeys way", which is basically all there veggies, "tomatoes, lettuce and onions", red wine vinegar, oil and spices... When i saw the girl adding the oil and vinegar she looked like she was drowning the sandwich. When I actually ate it, it was actually very good. Just the right amount of flavors all around. I actually couldn't finish the entire sandwich and had to bring home half. * There's a very nice large serving of ham. What I didn't like... * This place ran out of white bread :-( They offered Wheat bread instead. * Tried out "The Mike's way". This might be tasty for folks who enjoy salads, but I'm a meat and potatoes kind person. So I would have enjoyed the sandwich more by holding back the lettuce and tomatoes. It was nice to try out, but the Italian wasn't memorable enough. Maybe I'll try a different menu option next time. I would have given 3 stars for the establishment being clean and average food. Well I'll say this, my sammich was amazing and as fresh as can be. No nasty tomato or onions. crisp pickles fresh baked bread. My sub was made just like I asked. Tried Jersey Mike's for the first time today, but had a pretty bad experience. I guess I was expecting it to be something like Subway, but maybe taste a little better. I ordered a 12" tuna sub, cut in half, with different condiments on each half. I didn't see much available on the other side of the counter, in the way of condiments. I didn't see any cheese, for example. I asked the guy who was making the sandwich, "Do you have cheese?" "Nope," was his answer. "Oh, it doesn't come with cheese?" I asked. "Nope," he said once again. "How about spinach?" I asked. "Nope. No spinach." "Weird," I said. "I guess I was expecting it to be more like Subway." "We're better than Subway," he announced. Then he charged me over $20 for the foot long, a small bag of chips and a drink. "Wow!" I thought. Their prices are not better, their choices are not better. This had better be one tasty sandwich. It did taste pretty good, I have to admit, but just now I looked up the prices online. That meal should have cost $13.59 and online it appears I can add cheese to the sandwich. Not sure why there was no cheese anywhere to be seen in the restaurant. Just out of curiosity, I checked to see how much the same order would have cost me at Subway. Answer:$10.35 Sad. Just in case someone from management is reading this, my trip to Jersey Mike's was today May 17th, 2018 around 4pm. I don't know if the guy actually rang up the sale. He didn't give me a receipt.
