As for the cheese blintzes and the cherry compote- I think I could've done without it- it made it too sweet. But, it was served in the side, so iI just didn't eat much of it. The blintzes themselves were very good and definitely had a very gratifying texture. Slightly sweet on their own, but not too much. My husband had the franks and beans. I didn't try them, but I did snag a French fry and it was very good- golden and perfectly crispy with a piping hot soft center. Prices were a bit steep, but this is a neighborhood restaurant and iI think it's always good to support locally when you can. Goodness knows, prices for goods is high and labor is not cheap. It doesn't look like much from the outside - but sometimes those are the best finds. And that's what happened here. It's really small.
