We ordered three full size Italian subs and although we did thoroughly enjoyed them, there are a couple of complaints / hints for those making the hero's; a little more meat and tomatoes would be great. It's my impression that each of the component meat, cheese, tomato, etc should cover the entire bread! Both ends of my hero were very sparse. Some meat, some cheese, but not all the meats and cheeses covered the ends of the bread? Also they put 4 paper thin slices of tomato on the hero and it didn't reach either end of the bread- no bueno! If you are going to charge over $20. For a hero, chips and a drink, so $60. For three people, you should talk about my suggestions with your employees! If they had made our hero's as I suggested you would have gotten a 5/5 ! I am hesitant to come back now because I'm worried I'll get the same type of minimal hero again? read more

After having a horrible experience in selden's Jersey Mike's I made my way to this location (I was really hungry). After explaining to the lady who was helping me she made sure my experience was a good one. She even went above and beyond and came to the dining area and gave me a coupon for next visit. I even ran into an issue with the Tropicana lemon aid not working and within seconds the girl behind the counter not only fixed it but came out to tell me that I was good to go! My first time trying Jersey Mike's the day after grand opening. I ordered a #4 and was not impressed at all! Tasted like supermarket cold cuts. Staff seemed friendly but super stressed, as owner and mgr. hovering. I wasn't asked to do Shore pts. and off i went. 4 days later on early Sunday morning I tried to get another sandwich for lunch and was looking forward to ordering the pastrami reuben and was immediately told that they were out of pastrami ?? WTF. Staff laughed at lack of availability. So i ordered the roast beef and provolone which turned out to be just o. k. Might be me but not impressed with taste , maybe just haven't found something I really like. We tried this place for the first time and were disappointed. First, the ambience: this location is in a mini strip mall, where all the other stores on a Sunday are locked down with steel shutters. So it's a little off-putting. We got a tuna sub and a club sub (turkey, ham, provolone & bacon). The subs were so-so, but not as good as their major competitor (rhymes with "tubway"). Their pickles had an odd flavor to them and ruined the club sub until I removed them. Their bread isn't as good as the other place either. Their tuna salad was OK and their cold cuts were mediocre. Overall, we were underwhelmed and see no reason to go back there. We do better making sandwiches at home. read more

A new "player 2" has entered a realm that essentially Subway has defaulted and bullied everyone out of the way (yes I'm talking about Blimpie/Quiznos). Quizno's was my all time favorite back in the college days and was significantly cuts above Subway IMO- I went in hoping that Jersey Mike's could be a suitable replacement. Long story short, yes and no. It's pretty dependent on what you're looking for, how much your willing to spend that may dictate the experience here a bit. My go to here is the philly cheese steak variants (big kahuna) - the hot subs definitely lend to me more. They are really up to a restaurant quality in goodness. In my experience with a traditional cold cut sub I was a bit bored with the ingredients though not necessarily totally turned off. Will admittedly need to mingle a bit more with those choices. Overall though, let's face it - the quality of meats/quantity of food at subway is crap. The business thrived off of a business model and a sales promotion with the $5 footlong. That's not going to happen here for better / worse - the food here is cut and prepared with precision in front of you by young employees who have been trained well. With this being said though complaints of the prices are a bit validated here. I typically share something with a friend and just get a GIANT size and share a drink but even then we're running $17-$19. The content and quality is there though... I typically have trouble finishing my half unless I'm insanely hungry and am often satisfied. This is definitely going to fall into a regular slot for my lunch rotation in the future. read more

The manager and staff were so rude!! I went in with coupons I was given when I did a run. A great way to advertise of course I get to try your products for free (treat for me) that gets me in the door then obviously once I have a "great" experience and sandwich I will be back as a paying customer. Well not to this location. All they did was roll there eyes and ask each other not so quietly where we got the coupons. Very rude and I will NOT be back to that location!! I enjoyed the sub/hero whatever you want to call it and they would have gotten more stars but there was an issue: I heard from friends that a sub/hero here is costly as compared to delis in the area. So I got a coupon and went. I ordered a full size sub/hero, which was huge! Problem came when I went to pay and the guy couldn't figure out how to deduct/use the coupon. Then another guy, then what appeared to be the manager did it. Then I pain with a 50. And they gave me change for a 20. and didn't count it back. I counted it right there and told them they shorted me, they claimed I did not. Again with manager intervention and 15-20 minutes I was given my additional change. It just seemed like way - way - way too much trouble and expense for a hero sandwich? Maybe in some rural western state where they don't have a deli? Been here twice in the last few weeks and the subs are delicious!! I ordered both times online. The first time the order was ready when I got there. The second time I only had to wait a few minutes and the staff apologized for the wait. I wasn't in a rush, but appreciated the apology. He held 3 slices of cheese in one hand and proceeded to go over by the register and picked up a receipt. He then went to the counter behind the register and did something that we could not see. Then he went back to finish making the sandwich without changing his gloves. When he finished the sandwich, he grabbed another loaf of bread and used it to wipe the counter clean. He has assured me the worker will be retrained in how to make a proper hero and it will be checked by another before it goes out. I'm a frequent customer during the work week. Just call me the guy with the tie who always orders the number 7. My first experience was a great one, I had the regular Italian Sub, Mikes Way. I thought the quality of the meat was great, as well as the balance of all the condiments. I highly recommend "Mikes Way" which I won't go too much into detail, but it changes the entire dynamic of your sub. Those who may complain it's too oily or unnecessary just don't have taste buds. If you want to play it safe or be more health conscious, go with the number 7 (Turkey Provolone) on Whole wheat. I should be the spokesperson for this sub because I went on a diet roughly 2 months ago and this is my absolute go to. The taste of the sub really makes you wonder if it's calorie friendly but if you do your research, you'll find it is! The staff are friendly, efficient & recognize your loyalty. Recommended for anyone who wants to branch out & take a break from the same old stuff around the surrounding area. I'll never go to Subway again. read more
