What a nice find! My husband wanted a burger and found this place. He loved his cheeseburger on a potato roll, and the fries were superior by any standard. My friend listed this place as his second favorite burger chain so I had to try it. I got the cheese house sauce burger with pickles and it includes fries. It ended up being $17 due to the pickles and sauce costing extra. I liked the presentation with the knife and the plate buuut I was underwhelmed with the size. It's quite expensive as a burger with not much fries. The meat was good and juicy as I ordered the meat to be medium. The torta bun was nice and covered everything well. The fries were very good. The house sauce was good but nothing about it really brought it to the 5 star rating. It was a good burger and I really liked the fries but it's too expensive to go too often especially after the tax and tip. One single burger and fries can easily be 20 or more. I ordered a blueberry lemonade and a sandwich. When my drink came out it tasted like alcohol, I kept asking to confirm it was without alcohol. Well 10 minutes later another waitress come out with a lemonade left me confused. She made extra and that I could keep it. I tasted it and it tasted completely different. Not too long after I was informed they made a mistake and I indeed got a blueberry drink with alcohol. Thank goodness I didn't have sobriety chip or relapse that would set me back . People make mistakes and I was empathetic. They sandwich came out and it was very dry the dip made it bearable. I'm so used to much better quality. While the team was great. You can't go wrong with their burgers, they are so tasty and their predetermined options make the order process hard as all of them sound so good. The reason for me deciding to go to this restaurant was shamelessly the shakes. What concoctions they make. I got the one with the donut on top and it was presented so well and it was very good. I ordered from Uber Eats and when there was a huge problem with my order I called the restaurant, and the Manager said there was nothing they could do about it, I would have to complain to Uber Eats directly. I was shocked at how the Manager could care less that I couldn't eat the over $20 for a burger. I took one bite and spit it out immediately. It had bacon on it and I have a pork allergy so there was no way I could eat it. It had other issues, like the weird thousand island sauce slathered all over it when I clearly had checked NO SAUCE on my order form, and also tons of pickles, which is also an add on that you pay extra for, and I didn't check that box either. I also ordered sweet potato fries which came over so wilted, wet and droopy for lack of better words, that even after putting them in my air fryer wouldn't make them eatable. Went for the first time on a Thursday night and found out they play bingo. It's free you get 1-2 bingo cards to play while you eat. They play 4 games. Went back again on the next Thursday and my daughter won the final bingo, she won an inflatable paddle board with $200. Pleasantly surprised. We waited about 20 mins for the food to come out. I was shocked at how small the burgers actually were. I ordered my burger medium and it was well done. There was a dime size of What I thought was spicy mayo was actually the American cheese. My fries were cold and the onion rings were just warm. Asked for new ones and that came out hot. Now I'm a stickler for attentive service and our waitress failed at that. She was too busy chatting with the bartender, then with the hostess and with the bus boy. Our waitress & hostess followed the busboy into the girls bathroom while he emptied the garbage. I know this because we sat near the bathroom and all we could hear was the 3 of them chatting and laughing in the bathroom. The hostess came out 2x I guess to see if anyone had walked in. I have to say at this point I was very annoyed because while they were make all this noise the manager sat at a table eating his dinner oblivious as to what his staff was doing. I had to re-read my Burgerology Huntington review before coming here to put me in the right frame of mind. First and foremost, I enjoy a good burger and a draft beer. That's the sole reason for my 5 star review. Burgerology is crafting (very well by the way) a quality meat patty blend. Now baked a terrific bun and assemble. The restaurant has multiple beers on draft? "And" it's in my hometown? Mic drop, review is now over. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and sat outside on the patio. The weather was nice and I ordered a draft beer to get the burger party started. My waitress was a spitfire, she was taking care of multiple tables and yet brought out my burger quickly. I sliced the burger in half, it's cooked perfectly. It has a great taste and I dare to say one of the top 5 burgers on Long Island. Burgerology's are opening more restaurants, I read about a newly opened Patchogue location. I'm glad they decided in my back yard of Stony Brook. Its a great spot to come with friends, they have Bingo nights in Thursdays, and the 2010s playlist is always fun (but sometimes they start playing stripped back country songs which throws me off). It definitely can be a bit loud so its not the best venue if you are looking to have a conversation with the people at your table. The service is generally good, but they are busy so I don't think Ive had one server throughout a meal. The burgers are tasty and innovative, but their fries are pretty soggy. The onion rings are nice and crispy though. I also like the science-themed decor from the wall art to the flasks. Overall, I would definitely go back to try more burgers! read more

Ngl, this was better than I expected. Burgerology is using the space Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza once occupied. So when you walk in, not much has changed. Spacious, darkened interior with funky art designs all over the place. There is even outdoor seating on the edge of the premises. I, however, in my pandemic anxiety, opted for takeout this time. Ordered an Eddie the Greek with a side of onion rings and headed home. The Eddie the Greek is a gigante puck of lamb piled high with feta cheese, pickled onions, spinach, and tzatziki sauce all on a bun. The meat is cooked well and not dry. The toppings were a nice, tart contrast to the richness of the lamb. I do wish there was more tzatziki or more pickled onions on my burger though. It seems to me that all the toppings somehow were placed in the middle of my burger. So a good chunk of this burger was just me eating lamb with bread... The onion rings themselves were...not bad. Not my favorite that I've had, but super crunchy. Like so ridiculously crunchy it makes your teeth hurt. I actually left a few onion rings behind because my mouth got tired of chewing. But despite my masticating monologue, I think this is a pretty solid place for a burger in the area! Hot pastrami was really bad with about 1/4" of pastrami drenched in so much white sauce that the bread fell apart. This review is based on two visits to Burgerology in the past couple of months, with the latest visit being recently on a Friday night. I like that you can make a reservation on RESY well in advance to secure a spot, especially on a busy night like a Friday or Saturday. This place is in the only Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza spot in Stony Brook. They've done a good job of decorating it in a scientific way (burgerology, after all). They've got indoor & outdoor dining, and their bar opens up to the outdoor are too, very cool! The last two times I've been in with my two recently turned teenage twins. They love coming here, because they can order and build any burger they want, or choose from the variety of "pre-built" burgers on the menu. I'm not sure if it's a shrinkflation issue or not, but what I really appreciate, is that the burgers are made just the right size. They aren't tiny, and they are so huge where you need to unhinge your jaw to eat it. They are, to quote Goldilocks, "just right." I've only ever had fries to accompany the burger, and they've been delicious. I really like the option to get the Kobe burger, as that is some good stuff right there. Cooked medium rare, it's an absolute culinary delight. They also have burger meat infused with bacon and a bunch of other varieties. The service is top notch. On my last two visits, I had a young waitress & then young waiter who were both very good with coming over quickly, getting our drinks, taking our order, and giving us regular updates, as well as checking on us after we got our food. On my latest visit, my super picky son who likes plain cheeseburgers, was accidentally given lettuce & tomato on his burger. The manager of Burgerology got him the correct burger, and instead of wasting the original burger, packed it in a box for us to take home. I liked that a lot!!! We haven't gotten those crazy shakes or desserts the last few times we've gone, because we've been full, but they look delicious, and have gotten rave reviews from other reviewers. The wife, and I, finally got a date night away from our toddler. Nothing crazy. I hate Shake Shack. So I convince her to try somewhere we haven't been before. Luckily, this place was nearby. So, this place is pretty cool looking. Good atmosphere. Honestly, not what I expected from a burger joint. Staff is very young and did a nice job. The restaurant tries to get you to include the tip with your bill when you pay with a card though. Like in a kind of sneaky way where you have to select CUSTOM TIP and put a zero on the stupid iPad thing. That is BS. Poor girl looked up in shock before I handed her a $20. To be fair, a lot of places are doing stuff like this. But, that doesn't make it right. The service industry is tough enough in the best of times and every time you leave a tip on your card, Uncle Sam takes a big, wet, undeserving bite out of a hardworking person's ass.
