The quality of sandwiches and service at this location has taken a huge dive in the last 6-12 months. The last two to-go orders were well past the ready-by time when I went to pick them up. Staff seems oblivious to order of operations. Recently stood by checkout when my order bag was visible along with 4 others, but 2 of the 4 employees were doing other things (not making sandwiches) instead of clearing the to-gos that had stacked up. So waited and waited with the others in the same boat, for no reason at all. The last set of sandwiches we received, one wasn't cut up and was completely dry - just meat and cheese in bread. This is NOT the way it had been prior at this location. Usually the service and sandwich quality was great. No so anymore. Hoping the Jersey Mikes they're putting in by Costco soon will have newer/better/more involved staff. read more

Normally I have absolutely no complaints as I LOVE their sandwiches. However, today, it was bad. Their normally nice soft bread was hard as a rock. I asked for both sandwiches to be mikes way. I don't know what is going on with this place but it's absolutely going down hill. Whoever they now have in charge starts with an A she is rude she doesn't care about her employees and she doesn't care about customers either. I don't know where the normal staff has gone but since the beginning of the year I've noticed a lot of the staff leaving. They always seemed so happy to serve customers and would crack jokes but now it has all changed and the quality of food has also changed, not in a good way. I miss my old friendly faces who were nice to just about every customer who walked through that door. Bring the motto back please. I have been a regular customer of this store and today. I went in with my service dog and was refused service. I presented his paperwork. The manager did not care to look at it and told me that there will be no dogs in his store. My dog is trained groomed and helps me when I fall due two osteoarthritis. This dog has been in many restaurants on a plane, my job daily, court when i did expert testimony, As well as many doctor's offices and stores. Everyone including customers seemed inconvenienced but thought just because a small rush. There was no signage that they could not accept bills over 20. I got all the way to the register and went to pay for my order with a $50. I was told no one could check and to go next door and get smaller bills. I had to get my toddler and didn't have time to run next door, reorder and get back in line so I had to remove items until I could pay $21 in $1 bills and quarters. Unsafe conditions. No masks while preparing food. No social distancing among employees. As of today, Redding has its highest numbers. As we ordered our food the staff were less than 2 feet from each other. Employee making our food was busy talking over our sandwiches as the bread was placed directly on the counter. We were stunned and didn't really know what to do. My husband asked if they were required to wear masks and the employee said it was not required. We told him we were not comfortable eating the food and he asked where we were from. We said California. The AT&T store right next to it had their employees wearing masks. read more

I travel for work so I visit many locations and I always return because of the quality. The efficiency isn't always there except for this location. My husband and I tried Jersey Mikes, with a couple friends because it had been in town for a couple months and we hadn't tried it yet. When we walked in I liked the decor and the atmosphere. The menu was a bit confusing but I got a wrap and my husband got the meatball sub. My wrap was horrible, had no flavor, and very little choice in toppings the only good thing about my wrap was the wrap itself. It was a tomato Basil and was the only flavor in the whole thing. My husband, who LOVES meatballs, didn't even eat half. The meatballs were so mushy it was like eating a mouthful of mushy stuff, with no marinara sauce. We got a wrap and meatball sub and one drink chip combo and it was 20$. Both of us only ate half. We won't be back, not worth the price for the low quality. Very bland. read more

I have heard of the glory that is Jersey Mike's but don't live close to one. I was on a road trip and saw this location and thought I would give it a go. I was impressed from start to finish. As soon as I said 'I have celiac' the young man went to work wiping off the counter (using 2 separate towels), changing his gloves and the knives. I also liked that they sourced my toppings carefully, making sure they wouldn't have bread crumbs on them. I think I might have thanked them 15 times durning the process. As someone with celiac, the peace of mind that comes from watching your food prepared carefully is priceless. Now if only they'd open one near me! read more

Not happy - the lady that made my sandwich seemed rude but in a polite pass aggressive way that kinda felt like it was personal. Basically when she took over she did what she wanted. No jalapeños got jalapeños - extra veggies please "no" - cut in half wrap separately please - cut in 4 and wrapped together. The person that rang me up even reminded her what I asked for when she was doing it. She still did not do it. 18 with tip for a sandwich Im ok with it . Place is nothing special. It's a clean joint tucked into a strip mall with extraordinarily difficult parking arrangements. It's sandwiches with fresh cut deli meat. They don't have a lot of accoutrements like a Subway and having it "Mike's way" is equivalent to drowning the said sandwich in red vinegar. The staff tends to be really young (which is awesome so don't judge me as some curmudgeon) and can be heavy handed with the vinegar and oil, so keep a close eye. There's not a big selection and when I asked to have it heated they said "all we have is a microwave" I was a little taken aback, but it's a fresh sammie that will do in a pinch. The bread is fresh and the service is fine. They serve Pepsi products via the fountain. There is also tea (I have my doubts that it's brewed but I've been wrong before). Doesn't hurt to check it out, especially if you happen to be at the adjacent phone store or grocer. read more

I've always been a huge fan of Jersey Mike's! The meat is sliced fresh in front of you, Mike's Way is seriously mouth-watering, and I absolutely love their pickles. I like several of their sandwiches: Club Supreme, Cali Club, Club Sub, Tuna, Pastrami Reuben, just to name a few. Keep in mind, yes, their menu is limited and they're very picky about substitutions. It's their way of keeping the company authentic as possible. This is also why their additional condiments are a bit sparse. I like to go with the flow and trust menus as much as possible. Except for extra pickles. It's just the fact I love dill pickles in general. Recommendation: if you're taking your sandwich to go, possibly get Mike's Way with light juice (oil and vinegar) so your sandwich won't be soggy. I also love their Chipotle Mayo on anything. It's a great addition to EVERY sandwich. What I came here to brag about is the service. The Redding store is no longer my normal store. Now that I live in the PNW, the North Portland store is my go-to. Redding Jersey Mike's service blows North Portland out of the water. Appreciate the fact that employees at Redding (and Chico) always treat you like you're the priority (well, because you are) and they always make conversation with you for a reason. They'll get to know you by name and know how you love your sandwich. Yeah, Portland is a much, much bigger city, but that's no excuse. Redding employees will make conversation whether their line is out the door or if you're the only one there. I gained a huge appreciation for Redding's service even more know that I visited an out of area store. Some people don't like Mike's Way or how they run their company based on authenticity and service. But, Jersey Mike's over Subway ANY DAY. read more
