Cute little literal mom and pop shop. It was like my grandpa was helping me and my grandma was making my sandwich. Grandpa was so sweet and kept calling me ma'am and checking on me, offered to fill up my lemonade when I was leaving. My lemonade appeared homemade but was a bit tart for my taste but I appreciated it wasn't Minute Maid. They have gluten free bread, and Grandma Packed my Sammy with so many salamis. Even double cheese without asking. Great ripe red tomatoes. Good avocado. This was the perfect mid drive stop on my drive home from Humboldt. It comes up Fast when you make the turn from 299 through redding to the 44 I had to pass it and go around the block to find parking which is no biggie. Shop is a bit old fashioned with interesting aviation decorations which was cool. Recommend playing a bit louder music throughout so it isn't awkwardly quiet :) Recommend!! read more

This is the type of business we should be supporting!! Small, Owner / operator business and both were friendly. The portions of meat on the sandwiches were huge and priced very fair. The sandwiches were delicious and everything tasted fresh and homemade. Just wish I didn't live so far away. If I ever drive through here again, I will definitely be back!! This is the best place in the RDG for a sandwich. The Club San comes with crispy pastrami that gives you something nobody else in town does. My wife and I have stopped here twice on back-and-forths from Bend Oregon. Wow, great sandwiches! I even got an extra one this time for dinner when got in, and half of it was a full meal! Walked into the old school shop with both indoor and outdoor dining options. I normally would have fotten a cappachino but we were sitting close to the coffee grinder and I saw some blonde, dried out beans and changed my mind! My husband and I stopped here for lunch on our way back from Crater Lake. Saw all the positive reviews and decided to give them a try. I LOVE sandwiches, but my husband does not, so luckily, they also had hot dogs! It was a win/win for us! I had the Californian w/ Pepper jack cheese. It was delicious!
