Ordered a cheese steak. The guy threw it on the filthiest grill with lots of burned food left over from other orders. I mentioned it to him and he got an attitude telling me they only scrape the grill every other time. Yuck. Burned clumps of old food in my sandwich is not appealing. We all walked out. read more

I go to alot of JMs and was happy to see this one very well located on PCH Redondo Beach. First, I noticed it was very clean walking in. I was attended to right away by Thomas who did outstanding customer service and food prep. I really enjoyed their giant new pastrami which was enough for 2 delicious meals. Highly recommended. Good food at good prices. As healthy a cheap lunch as you can hope for. But.... A gloved Jersey Mikes employee is manning the lettuce/tomatoes/mayonnaise/etc., station. He picks up a dirty rag to clean his immediate work area. He cleans the work area. The rag then goes somewhere (remaining dirty) presumably to eventually get used later for another "cleaning"*. Then he continues to assemble sandwiches with the same gloves he wore while handling the dirty rag. I walk out, unable to convince myself ("That which doesn't kill me makes me stronger") to consume a sandwich that was in the queue to get handled by those (now-dirty) gloves. Lesson Learned: When a Jersey Mikes employee IS SEEN cleaning anything, they then NEED TO BE SEEN washing their hands and putting on fresh gloves before touching food. * Why do so many in the food services industry think that wiping a surface with a dirty rag 'cleans' it? Would using disposable paper towels really eat that much into the profits? read more

Ordered a box of subs (for an event) off of the catering menu. When I went to pick it up they couldn't find the order, then they finally brought out a box of subs for me. I looked inside the box to check it and it was the wrong order. After a few minutes of confusion they said that they had given my order to someone else. They couldn't even make it right because now (at 2pm on a Saturday) they were out of bread and suggested that I go to Hermosa. So disappointed that they didn't even make any calls or try to make it right. Where was the manager? How does something like this even happen? First i'll say i'm sort of a sandwich addict and while i like to eat mostly healthful, i'll shank someone for a good sub sandwich. I hit up this Jersey Mike's at least once a week. Close to my house, easy access from PCH and pretty good service. I can say that everyone working here is friendly. They usually go out of their way to chat and smile a lot. Sandwiches are very consistent. Well made and overstuffed with toppings. They also go out of their way to make a box of meat shavings when I bring my puppy with me. He literally is in love with this and they give me so much i can basically mix it in with his food. For days. So nice. For me. And for my dog. Meat is the answer to world peace. I've dined here many times. I've always been impressed with their cleanliness and sanitary conditions. Yesterday I noticed the food preparer changed her gloves twice while preparing my cheesesteak and only handled it with cooking utensils and not with her hands. Ugh, every time this location takes a step forward, they seem to take a step back right after. While their service has been improving, their attention to order detail needs work. I phoned in an order, they wrote down my order (juice, jalepenos and avo) correctly on my ticket, yet subsequently added a gaggle of toppings (onions, lettuce, tomato) which I did not ask for, nor did I want. In my instance, this serves as an inconvenience when looking forward to lunch, but if there was a person who got served toppings that they were allergic to, then the staff's seemingly innocent mistake could have had extreme repercussions. read more

I have been a long-time fan of Jersey Mike's and this location. I also signed up for the app, to expedite the order process. Today was the WORST service ever! I ordered a sandwich on the app here at home, said it would be ready at 1152pm, and I showed up to a complete "cluster-f" in the store. The store had 3 employees trying to satisfy a throng of app orders, walk-in orders, etc. My food was not in the usual rack of pickups at noon. I had to get in line to find out that my food was not done, but "coming up soon." BS! Of the three employees, the young female was so obviously new and slowing down the process so much! She had no clue of how to do the usual process for making sandwiches (I HAVE BEEN A HUGE FAN OF THIS STORE IN THE PAST!) The guy manning the register was a little more than completely useless, and better than the young female. She stopped making sandwiches to "try" helping the guy at the register. This ended up with more confusion. LOTS of customers came into pickup their app orders, to be frustrated by the lack of efficiency here. It was actually a punishment to order via the app today, as walk-ins got better service. The usual excellent manager was overwhelmed by the lack of support and things spiraled out of control. I had to ask a few times where my order was, and the manager insisted he was taking care of it. Someone needs to be retrained here. This effort is hurting your brand. I will seek out other Jersey Mike's, or go back to Subway and Togo's instead. This stuff is not worth it. The employees at this location play with peoples food all the time. The same kid that works there messes up orders on purpose trying to be funny or being lazy. I took a picture of his so that everyone knows who he is. The sad part is that when the manager heard me arguing with the bad employee they kicked me out. As I was leaving Petco today I spotted Jersey Mike's across the parking lot. I haven't been to a Jersey Mike's in years. My plan was to make a kale salad when I got home. Hmmmm.....sub or kale. Tough choice. NOT Meatball sub: delicious!! The first bite was OMG YES. So much fun to watch the cold subs being made as I waited for my hot sub. They all looked so good. Service here is great. I was so excited to order from Jersey Mike's subs I order through Grubhub and for 2 7inch subs ham and cheese and one Italian it was almost $30 with the delivery fee and all of their taxes when I got the sub they had forgotten my soda I ordered and everything I asked for on the side was actually on the bun ---which made the bun completely soaked as for the ham on the sandwich it was nonexistent. I do hope a manager or someone from corporate sees this! This is just ridiculous! Impossible to pick up a wrap cut at that angle. Either don't cut it at all or take 1 second, that's right 1 second, to look at WTF you are doing. This place is tucked away in a shopping complex so you have to look for it despite it being road facing. They are observing proper rules for COVID-19 with a limit of 5 people in the business at a time, mandatory masks required, staff wearing PPE, hand sanitizer provided, credit card payment by chip reader, social distancing markets on the floors. Fairly fast service because they carve your deli meat at the time of your order and make it fresh. The food is consistently good and if you get it "Mike's way" just be prepared for it to be messy but delicious. Chips are located behind the counter so you have to ask for your choice. read more

I love Jersey Mike's, however I dislike this location out of 3 other locations that I visit in Torrance. When you're spending $20 including a tip, you should be getting, in this case a properly wrapped sandwich. Not one that has fallen apart and is literally all over the place. This particular location must be some sort of training store/location because this the third time out of five that I've had an issue with the Giant size not being cut all the through, which means you have to tear your sandwich apart for starters. Each time it seems as though it's these kids first time cutting them attempting to wrap this large sandwich with utter failure all the while their supervisor just stands there and watches them struggle. In total frustration they eventually are able to shove this large sub falling apart into the bag only for me to get home to reassemble it. Food is so blahhh. No flavor. Used to come a-lot but they took pastrami off the menu it was very good. Not fatty at all. Their other sandwiches taste like nothing. Even with the seasoning and spreads..its just absolutely tasteless. Online I saw they had chicken salad now along with hot chicken sandwiches..so I thought Id give it a try. Well not at this location. Guy told me its not at certain locations. Then why the hell does it show it online. Just ordered some food to go . I was greeted by the employees very graciously. Thomas was very patient while I waited for my family to order over the phone . I had made some special requests,ie well done ,little of that more of that . Mark educated me about the products they had and made some suggestions as to further purchases . The restaurant was organized and very clean probably the cleanest I have seen from this chain . All the shelves for chips were full as if they were getting ready for a photo shoot . The soda machine and the area surrounding it were clean and well kept . Very impressive as to a fast food restaurant with a lot of traffic. Management you have hired a great team and your training has paid off . Thanks again to Thomas and Mark for a great experience. We are regular customers as we live within walking distance. My favorite sandwich is the Roast Beef and Provolone. (I always order double meat) But who likes brown, over cooked roast beef? I was just in, and asked if there was any roast beef that was on the rarer side. The clerk showed me what he had - the very last bit of a roast beef, completey grey brown, and he said he would fetch a fresh one from the back. He then came back and was told by his manager that I had to eat the overcooked remains, instead of fulfilling my request for a properly cooked Roast Beef. Thanks for nothing, I guess you don't give a s**t about your regulars, who always tip. Why would I pay for second rate left overs? Shame on you. First there was a super long wait and no organization. Second I ordered the Club with no ham and they purposely charged me a number 7 and added a $1.69 charge for adding bacon, when the club comes with bacon. I said something to the worker and he told me that the 7 was cheaper. And actually my sandwich I ordered was only .20 cents more. Guess times are tough when you purposely lie and force extra charges.
