Shrimp Taco Ensenada Taco (surf & turf ) Meat Burrito

Amazingly flavorful and fresh. Recently visited with my family after a long day hanging out at the beach. We were super hungry and wanted to get some delicious tacos. We picked this place because we had a craving for mariscos. This place did not disappoint. Easily accessible off of PCH. Parking lot is larger than many of the lots on the street. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, bright and inviting. The glass windows and doors make for an open feel. Service was friendly at the counter. The menu is abundant with several dishes to choose from. After eating here I don't think you can go wrong with ordering anything off the menu. The food was served nice and hot. Portions were very large. The ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection. Tacos come with an incredibly spicy sauce that's amazing but if you're a heat seeker there's a cold self serve cart with peppers to add. Plenty of seating available. Refrigerated case with classic Mexican sodas. TVs in the dining area playing sports. Great for families, kids, dining solo or a casual beach date. Prices are reasonable. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu especially the agua frescas.

We were in the areas in search of Mexican food. Saw this and gave it a try! The portions are huge and the food was very fresh. It was prepared fairly quickly. There's a little bar section for salsas, limones, and chiles. You seat yourself after you order and pay at the counter. There's an outdoor and indoor area with restrooms towards the back side of the outside. The restaurant is pretty clean! Not sure about parking situation since we were walking around the area. I will say that the rice was underwhelming. If I were to go back, I'd skip out on this item.

I've always gone to the other location but this one is pretty chill as well a lot more seating and near the beach area. Parking can be a bit hectic is you come during lunch hour but people are going in and out all the time so I was able to score parking. Their fish tacos are always delicious, if you ever take them to go have them put all the toppings on the side so it's not soggy. Their tostada de Cameron and Pescado are both delicious. This time around I got their combo plate of rice and beans with 2 grilled fish tacos and a Agua de Jamaica that was very good a bit on the sweet side but I just added a bit of water. Their service is so fast here and I love their work ethic and how clean they keep the place. They have an extra outdoor seating area that's fun if you wanna have lunch outside as well and enjoy the weather. Love this spot and their food. Gracias!!

Holy crap!! So freak'n good!! My favorite spot in the south bay for lunch. The best baja style fish tacos north of Ensenada. Make sure to stop in on Wednesday for the taco special.

Just left this gem of a place!!!! Wow, what a delicious experience! My husband and I shared a Cóctel de Camarón (shrimp cocktail), he also ordered 3 tacos (Al pastor, asada and fish they're most popular. I ordered a fish taco and an asada sope. By the way, they're tortillas are handmade! Service was great! They heard it was out 1st time there and gave us a generous amount of their shrimp mango ceviche to try as we were ordering- I KNEW at that point I was going to be happy with my order. The ceviche was so fresh! Ambiance is cute with indoor and outdoor seating. Great music and just chill! Place looked clean and parking was easy. Definitely plan on coming back soon!

Great fish tacos at an affordable price. Drove by and it looked like a fun place to try, no reviews to find here in TA. What a great find! Despite a huge menu which sometimes doesn't work out, the fish taco's we had were outstanding. And huge. And a screaming deal. We decied to try the Baja version which is grilled fish and shrimp. The taco's are loaded with fish and a very good, fresh slaw with and sauce. Everything is made to order, this isn't 'fast food'. I've had great Baja taco's in San Diego where they were supposedly were invented and this place is as good or better. Very nice staff. Can't wait to try other items, they offer one of my favorate Mexican fish dishes; Mojarra Frita. I saw a customer with it, it looked outstanding. Another plus, they have horchata and it was quite good. This place is a winner!

On this rainy day, I wanted Ensenada's Surf n Turf Grill tacos. Unfortunately, so did a lot of people. The parking lot has very tight spaces. New menu boards and prices have increased. I ordered the fish tacos and a potato taco. All were delicious but the potato taco was an appetizer size. Best time to come here is when it first opens. Ok, bye.

The ambiance was great and it was a really nice spot in front of the Pier. We sat outside since it was good weather, I didn't account for the afternoon chill though once the sunset. Good thing to keep in mind when choosing outside or inside. The inside was really pretty (saw this on my way to the restroom later) so I wish I would have chosen to sit inside. Now for the food, this was really the only let down. The guacamole and chips were started with was okay, slightly bland in flavor. I got the fish tacos, my husband got the Chipotle Pollo y Hongos (listed as a house specialty), got a taco and nacho plate for my kids off the kids menu. The rice was like a green rice, super bland and dry and this came on both of the adult plates. The red rice that came with the kids food was actually better. The refried beans tasted like something that came out of a can, dry as heck and again, bland. Fish tacos were meh, fish was fishy and the slaw it comes with did not have the flavor I am usually looking for when I think fish tacos. My husband's chicken was yummy, and I wished I had gotten that instead. Only con was the dry rice and beans it comes paired with. Maybe my biggest gripe was the food not tasting authentic at all, and this Mexican girl loves her Mexican food, or maybe I just got the wrong plates. In my experience, if the basics are wrong (rice and beans) the rest has little hope. However, I must say that Dessert was amazing, I got some kind of yummy ice cream (maybe the Helado Frito?) to blow out my birthday candle. It was the silver lining for sure :) Service was great, and they were very accommodating. I felt bad telling them I hated the food but I wanted to write an honest review for those, like myself, who rely on reviews when choosing a good dinner spot.

Quiet for a Saturday night inside sit down at 8pm, but still plenty of to-go orders, and I'll guess they were busier earlier for dinner. Lucky for us! We were greeted warmly and offered a cute table with a view out to PCH. The decor is cozy and comfortable with pretty flower murals along the walls and framing doorways. Staff was very attentive and friendly and my eyes were MUCH bigger than my tummy! I went with the grilled white fish, rice and beans plate, but added a beef tamale from the appetizer menu. Hubs selected a beef quesadilla as his main. They have a good selection of beers and beverages, but when I saw a margarita on the menu I was curious and asked if they really had margaritas. 'Yes. Would you like one'? No need to ask me twice! Unfortunately, I think, to accommodate their beer & wine license, the marg was made with some sort of white wine and maaaaybe margarita mix from LaPaz. I didn't get a hint of tequila at all. Oh well, cerveza next time! Hubs' quesadilla was large and the steak juicy, he was very happy. My grilled fish was delicious and the tamale was perfecto! Lots of generous, well seasoned beef, not too thick of a mesa. We also liked the way they served "chips" and fresh salsa. The whole, fried corn tortilla in the basket! No way someone can complain 'these chips were all crumbs!' when served this way. Delicious! We would cheerfully return to Rosa's again and hope this great family owned & operated, since 1973, business gets lots of love from local - and visiting! - patrons. Cheers! "CC"
