You need to get the APP for Habit Burger to get some great deals weekly and special promotional offers. I like this location because it tends to be underwhelmed as opposed to overwhelmed. The only recent change or comment I have is... at one time, the Onion Rings used to be way better and a fan favorite unlike most other restaurants. I think the onions prior to my experience (Nov 2025) used to be soft and moist more so than dry and dehydrated. Before, you could bite into an onion ring and easily sever the onion ring beautifully because your teeth cuts like a knife and it was delicious and enjoyable. This time (Nov 2025) the onion rings might was no different from an inferior frozen onion ring found at most chain restaurants and fast food franchises where you bite down and the onion inside is dehydrated and when you try to sever and cut it with the bite of your teeth, you end up not being able to disengage and left pulling the onion out of the batter and leaving a long string of onion. The Habit is one of my favorite burger spots, and I like this location. It's a few blocks up from the pier, well, it's a slightly uphill hike from the pier, but you'll need to burn those calories anyways. Nice staff, always clean interior, and if you sit out on the patio you get a nice breeze and a semi-view down to the ocean. I forgot to talk about the food. The burgers are the hand-formed type, I go with the double burger, and they're grilled fresh when you order. The fries are also cooked fresh when you order and they complement the burgers really well. Large but very busy shared business parking lot. read more

I drove to this location (coming from Torrance) to get their limited time Korean bbq char burger. The Torrance Habit location does not carry this item. This Habit burger is in a nice plaza with plenty of parking. Habit burger does not have drive thru since your order does take a little bit time since they are made to order. So be prepared to wait at least 5 minutes. Interior is clean and very modern. I like the atmosphere inside. Staff is friendly. The condiments area is clean. I ordered the kbbq burger and side of fries. The kbbq burger was $8.99 and fries was over $3. The total came out to be little over $13. Habit burgers are quite expensive compared to McDonalds but the difference is quality and not quantity. The Korean bbq burger was a bit disappointing. I could not taste the bbq since the kimchi flavor overpowers all other flavors. I wouldn't recommend this burger. Habit has many great tasting burger and would recommend most of the items except the Korean bbq burger. read more

Visited a different location but still the same delicious burger. Today I had the double char with cheese and it was really good. The onion rings were nice and crispy and were a great accompaniment to the burger. The person taking my order was friendly and greeted me right away. The inside of the place from the floor to the table tops were kept clean. There is a shared parking lot your car so no problem there. read more

I was pretty lucky I got to be the first customer but I get to come here only once a month so it's a big treat for me store is very clean everybody was very friendly and welcoming I only get to eat food like this once a month as mentioned earlier but I absolutely love the number one with fries and that's gonna be up to 1100 cal so if you're watching your weight you need to be prepared to make this an all day experience. I love the pepper bar... I've always like pepperscini with my french fries but I can only have that every so often lol they have outdoor seating that's heated they have a fountain filled with wonderful drinks and they're open until 10 PM Monday through Sunday! read more

This is specifically related to an Uber Eats order. We ordered the B1G1 free burgers, fries and onion rings. There was a place to choose a sauce that we forgot to select. All we wanted was Ketchup for the fries!!! Upon completing the order we called the local store number and were told by Claudia that "We are unable to modify the order once it's received". She said maybe you can contact the driver and ask them to ask for the sauce. We called back and a different person answered the number and explained there was no manager to speak with, they weren't the local store - they were guest relations and couldn't transfer the call to the local store. All of this took maybe 5 minutes. We went to look at the Uber Eats app and the driver was already on the way. Sooo we didn't get to ask the driver for help. This means the store location wasn't busy and Customer Service could have been provided. Instead The Habit has chosen to deny basic Customer Service, lost a future customer and now has this as their review. Business MUST be Kickin at the Hermosa Beach location and the choice to push customers away is preferred!! Great For You!!! read more

The food was very good at this location. We had a couple of double char burgers with cheese and shared a French fry order. The person at the register was very polite and we had a nice conversation. Overall that part was great. My only complaint is the tables and floors in the restaurant and patio were dirty and the trash cans were overflowing. Every time I come, I am pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoy the food. Kids nuggets fried to crispy perfection. Bonus to be able to choose a healthy side as opposed to fries (Motts no sugar added applesauce). Kiddos always love the gummy burger candy treat too. But the Chargrilled Peach Salad (new seasonal menu item) is so good that it prompted this review! I'm a sucker for pickled red onions, and love their chargrilled chicken, so it was a no brainer. My go to is usually the chargrilled chicken salad (comes with tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, red onions), and it was so nice to have a refreshing alternative! As burger places go, this location is great, and the setup for this restaurant, even with previous tenants has always been set up well for order at the counter then wait for your food type of experiences, and it's a pleasant area inside and out to have a meal. I've only been here once. I had the Double Cheeseburger and fries, figuring that seems to be their main focus. It's a tasty burger. I really liked it. I just thought that for the price, there should have been more of it. Compared to other excellent burger options, that is the main way The Habit falls short to me. The fries were good. The staff was friendly, but I think they are a little understaffed, as most places are in these times. I assume that explains why it seemed to be a rather long wait for small burger. Overall though, they have good food and good service. They just aren't going to be top of my list when I want a good burger. The next time though I will likely try the fish sandwich. When we arrived, we had pre-ordered the food. We went at the pick up time, but it wasn't ready. The grill was on fire and my daughter's bread had mold on it. All of our burgers tasted really gross. When talked to the supervisor she was trying to only refund a portion of the order, but then after for the review she refunded at all, thankfully She expressed how the filters hadn't been cleaned. When it comes to fast food burgers, this is one of my favorite places. Although it's not because the burgers. It's because of the fish sandwich and because of the tempura green beans. Especially the tempura green beans. If you have not tried them you need to go try them now even if you think it's not something you would like because in my house we have a rule that you try a bite of everything at least once. I know you're gonna want to fight for the rest of that tray of tempura green beans. The fish sandwich is amazing, I like it because it's lighter than a burger and has a great combination of flavors. I love that everything can be lettuce wrapped. I also love that they have some fantastic salads. Like the Cobb salad is one of my favorites. So many good options whether I want to just indulge or eat healthier. And that's kind of hard to say when you go to most burger joints. read more
