Since I really like myself, I decided that I deserved a birthday party for my 62nd B-Day. I set up a session at a local golf simulator lounge (Greenies in San Juan Cap, see my 5 star review). Invited were five of my golf buddies to join me and I wanted to bring in some grub and snacks. Since I love Jersey Mike's Original Italian, I chose to get some sandies from there. This location has always done a nice job making Original Italians for me so I decided to use them for this gig, but I would be moving up to the Gigantic sandwiches. The day before, on the Jersey Mike's app, I ordered four Gigantic sandwiches to get picked up at 10:30am to bring to my shindig. Since it was my birthday, I ordered the Original Italian, Mike's Way and added hot chopped pepper relish. The Original Italian is the best sub they have, hands down and if you don't agree we can't be friends. You can order what you want and we can be pals, but if you think that any other sub is superior to the Original Italian, move on and find someone else to hang out with. Anyway, the Original Italian is provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. I normally order on white roll, but decided to be crazy and ordered this Gigantic sub on rosemary parmesan bread. While it was very good, I found that I really liked the white roll better. Good to know and I was happy I tried the alternative. Also, I usually add mayo to my Original Italian, but I thought it could get quite messy with the mayo on it, so I passed. The other three Gigantics were Turkey and Provolone, Roast Beef and Provolone, and a Super Sub. First two have obvious ingredients and the Super Sub has provolone, ham, prosciuttini and cappacuolo. No, it is not an Original Italian, it is something way different. Very delicious, but not the full mouth-gasm that is the Original Italian. You think it's close? I don't care, it was my birthday and I ordered what I wanted. Go hungry if you don't like it. On the big day, I showed up at 10:30 and the massive subs were just completed right on time. The server asked what supplies I needed and she piled into the large bag mayo, mustard, knives, forks and like a million napkins. I almost needed a dolly to help me the the bag out to my truck. She was super nice, friendly and so helpful. Sadly, one of my friends (well former now) disagreed with my thoughts about the Original Italian so I had to ask him to leave and not take any sub with him. While I am bummed, he knew the rules, he knew the boundaries, Mahalo. HA! Well, the party was a success and everyone loved the subs. Thanks Jersey Mike's! Honestly, a pretty solid sandwich place for a chain. I really have never had a bad sandwich here overall. My usual is the number nine turkey provolone but today I went out of my comfort zone and had the club sub and added a whole bunch of toppings. And quite honestly, it was delicious but next time I would probably omit the bacon as I was not a fan. And maybe not put mayonnaise on because it was pretty saucy greasydeliciousness. Super friendly staff when you walk in easy to order online, which I prefer plenty of parking. Mellow interior with seating and self service beverage station. A few tables outside for dining. Right next to Wingstop and Golden spoon. Yes, support the little guy, but you can't go wrong with a Jersey Mike's sub. read more

Last week stopped in for a quick sub to go. I was greeted by a very friendly young man behind the glass meat case, along with a young lady ready to put the sub together. Placed my order which was a mini sub (1st time @ JMS) the young lady asked if I wanted it Mikes Way .... sure it sounded good, as she was about to place the crown of the bun on the sub I ask how about the mayo and mustard (don't like a dry sub) in which an older woman working the register responded "Well We Are Not Mind Readers ". I was taken back by this comment, and decided not to respond to her rudeness paid and left ! In this era of where service is everything to maintain repeat customers to have your business survive I won't be back ! The service at this location is awful. Older man, around middle age with an accent, was extremely rude. Everything was an inconvenience to him- even asking for mustard. Definitely do not recommend this location. read more

For a chain, Mikes knows what's up. Hit the original Italian and swap out the meats to your preference and you have yourself a delicious sandy. *Pro tip, make it señior "Miguel's" way and make it extra spicy with banana peppers, Jalapeños, and the pepper spread. If you like it hot, you won't be disappointed. read more

The Steak & Cheese Subs at the San Clemente, California Shop were HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING, POORLY MADE & LOW QUALITY expensive disasters. The Ingredients tasted old, the bread was soggy and stale along with aged poor tasting cheese meant to be fresh. The Subs were GROSS, Cold, Mealy & UNDERCOOKED. It's obvious that most of San Clemente & probably #OrangeCounty knows to stay away from this place. It was empty. Got take out last weekend. We decided to share a large Italian sub. It was packed with ham, salami, provolone, pepperoni, and more. A little heavy on the shredded lettuce. Always great employees and great sandwiches that keep us coming back. But today, was too much of a good thing--too much oil it drenched the sandwich and the inner and outer wraps. I went into JM last week for my usual (#11 with rosemary parm, lettuce, pickles & onions) and there was an absolute GOAT working the line. When I showed up to pick up my mobile order, this young man apologized for the delay, as he was waiting for new bread to come out of the oven. There was plenty of bread left, but this absolute king made sure I had the BEST sandwich of my life. I am grateful to say he succeeded in making the best JM sandwich I have ever had. This has been my favorite sub sandwich place For over 10 years. I usually get number 13, which is delicious Italian meats and I always get it Mike's way. Was appalled at the small sandwich I received. $14 plus fees and the tab exceeded $20 for about a six inch sub with maybe two ounces of mayo intensive tuna mixture; they even skimped on the lettuce and tomato. Very friendly and accommodating with order. Nice size sandwich assortment. Separated lettuce and tomato so I can heat cheese steak up later and add toppings. I had previous very poor experience with the other San Clemente shop. I paid and left because they didn't believe I had paid because the cashier went in back to use restroom. The manager never contacted me after I left a poor review. I will come back here and I signed up for the rewards club. They definitely earned my business. Jersey mikes food quality is always great and staff are always friendly. No complaints. But, since I'm a women who is "hangry" all the time.. I like to watch my food being made to make sure nothing gets missed. They always try to get you to pay before your food is ready and me being nice, I scooted over to pay and little did you know they forgot my pickles and pepperoncini's. But definitely next time, I will watch first before I pay. read more

When I arrived at the restaurant no one was behind the counter. It sounded like the guy was in the back cleaning. He comes out wearing the same gloves he was cleaning with and wanted to make my sandwich. I couldn't believe he wasn't going to wash his hands first. I left.
