Disappointing experience -- felt like we were an inconvenience I stopped by around 8:35 PM because I was craving two Jersey Mike's sandwiches. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was that the meat slicer had already been cleaned and the ingredients at the counter looked like they had been put away. The employee at the front looked at us like we were interrupting something, which immediately made us feel unwelcome. I understand that it may have been a slower night and that employees want to get out on time, but the posted closing time was 9 PM. I expected that customers walking in before closing would still be able to order what the restaurant normally serves. As I approached the counter, the employee told me, "Just to let you know, she doesn't have any more bread." I understand running out of something can happen, but at a sandwich shop, bread is kind of the main ingredient. I wasn't interested in getting a bowl when I came in craving a sandwich. Honestly, I'm just glad I didn't place a mobile order ahead of time, because I would have been pretty frustrated to drive over expecting two sandwiches only to find out they couldn't be made. Instead of arguing or making a scene, we just said "alright" and left. It wasn't a huge inconvenience, but the overall experience left a bad impression. I don't usually eat Jersey Mike's, but I was actually excited to try it again, and unfortunately this made me hesitant to come back. Heads up that this is officially my least favorite location. Just spent 10 minutes as the first person in line watching two teenagers avoid eye contact while they slowly, very slowly prepare two to go sandwiches as a manager of some sort scrolled his phone and ate a sandwich in the completely empty restaurant. I had my teenager with me and after politely waiting a LONG time for anyone to look up or acknowledge us, we left without ordering and I still don't think anyone looked up or cared. He's 15 and I told him when he's 16 and gets a job to use this as an example of what not to do. It was very obvious these people had no desire to actually serve customers and so we went elsewhere and will avoid this location going forward and suggest you do too. read more

This place is terrible when u order sandwich in a bowl, which costs more than a sandwich , but this location fills it less than half the bowl. And they used to run out of bread all the time. We were tentative to try this new location as the Yelp reviews weren't so great. Plus we didn't have any coupons to use . They're located by Chase Bank (towards the Crunch gym side). Plenty of parking today. I had tried to call their phone # but no one picked up. So we had to order via their app (easy to do). Prices are high for a giant sandwich - it was $30 for two sandwiches today. The order was placed around 1230p and gave an estimated 35 min wait time. Wasn't sure if they were super busy or maybe understaffed? I tried to call a few more times so see if we could pick up earlier but again no one picked up phone. We got there and there were a few customers waiting. There are a few outdoor tables as well. Everyone was well masked. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and asked if we were online or in store purchase. There was a separate rack towards the right for app/online purchases (so our order was actually ready earlier). The two giants were packaged well. The turkey sandwich was fine - friend liked it and said it tasted the same as other locations. The giant philly cheesesteak looked pretty hefty! The portion seemed bigger than normal for some reason (Plus it was nicely hot). I didn't like the bell peppers though - it was too sweet so I'd omit this next time. Overall a nice to go lunch. Solid subs! The low rated reviews for this store are unreasonable--I had a great experience here. I ordered two cold subs for pickup: the Original Italian and Club Sub. I chose the Parmesan bread as I think it's more flavorful. These subs are so easy to take and eat on the go as I had a long drive. The Club Sub was my favorite out of the two; the bacon was crisp and yummy, and it was loaded with delicious and light shredded cabbage. The mayo was not too overwhelming and the balance of all the ingredients tied it all together. The meats in the Original Italian were so good; and not one topping overpowered the other. Genuinely a great sandwich place, the 1 star reviews are totally uncalled for. Friendly environment and yummy subs :) I think I'd order again to eat for a picnic at the park! read more

Ordered online for pick up at the Carmel Valley location. Showed up 5 mins before my "ready time". Told they were working on it. No problem. 20 mins later after they'd made sandwiches for every person walking through the door twice over, I asked when my order was going to be ready and the manager (Lucas) told me they had to serve the guests in line first. When I said "you've been doing that for 20 mins while I stood here" he said in the most condescending tone "Do you want us to make the order or not?" What I want is to get an overpriced turkey sandwich in less than 25 mins, without an attitude! This is the worst JM's I've ever been to! Pretty disappointing... The one thing I like about ordering from chains is consistent quality (hopefully)... I usually visit the del mar heights Mike's location which is excellent but I was heading in the other direction so I placed an order thru the app for pickup at the Carmel valley store... Ordered one sandwich... When I arrived the store was empty, there were several employees standing around... I said I was there to pickup my to go order for John. The guy I spoke with didn't look too happy and with a questionable look on his face asked me for my last name. There was one to go order there, nobody in the store, and here I come along to get it obviously I'm the right person. It just seemed a little cold and excessive to question me like that while the store was dead. I grabbed my order and drove about 15 miles to my destination. Upon opening the order, the sandwich was missing several ingredients including some of the meat... It was also dry with no mayo or the Mike's Way oil vinegar mix. I sent some feedback through the app back to Jersey Mike's but never got a response. I'll be avoiding this location from now on. As for the sandwich, it was quite soggy and oily which I am not a big fan of. I am not sure why this sandwich was such a mess to eat. For example, board n brew sandwiches are never soggy. This location has the worst customer service I've ever seen. Most of time in here, I feel like most employees here don't even listen to you. For the past 4 times I've came here, all my sandwiches were made wrong. My mom went today and her sandwich was made wrong, my friend went there and same thing happened to him. The workers here are so rude and the prices are just insanely expensive. There is nothing here that I see that makes this place any better than subway. I got the Philly cheesesteak and I'm waiting for them to ask me if I want any veggies. The guy looks at me and with a horrible attitude told me "you're looking at me like you want me to add veggies for you." Then another employee yells at me and says "You should have just ordered this sandwich instead of making us do this". Y'all complaining at doing your job, there is so many ways to tell you customers things in a much more professional manner. I just hate how you don't have that option to customize any your sandwiches that's from the grill. This is where subway is so much better, they make sure that your sandwich will always be made to your liking. I want to give this location a pass because it's new, but I'll let you decide for yourself if it's worth risking your patience and your health. First of all, I walked in twenty minutes after ordering online; which, was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes...I waited another 20 minutes to receive my order after the staff was finished with everyone else in line, at which point, they got to the folks hanging out in back, all waiting for their pickup orders as well. Second, many customers didn't seem to care about social distancing, which is not necessarily the employees faulty...but, the guy with the gold necklace putting the toppings on the sandwiches had his mask hanging below his nose, so what's the point of wearing one at all? I won't be back at this location until the pandemic is over, they can't be trusted to maintain a healthy environment or bother to ask the customers to keep an appropriate distance and wear their masks properly. read more

The food is fine (like any other Jersey Mike's) but the service here is pretty bad. Been here multiple times and the food is almost always ready later than we set it up for. Also, in one instance I asked if they could honor a printed coupon on a web order that I made and they said they couldn't because it was a printed coupon and the order was already processed. Seems like they could've just refunded and recharged or something like that. Perhaps the issues are due to covid but there are many other stores that have provided better service than here. If you plan on ordering from here, make sure you allow for extra time for your food to be prepared. read more

We love this new location! We live in the neighborhood and we are thrilled that the pacific highlands shipping center now has a sandwich spot! I used to go to jersey mikes every so often, but now that they have a shop so close by we go a few times a week! The store manager has also done a great job of hiring some great employees! They have one employee named Sarah who is beyond amazing every time we go! For example,I've probably been eating at jersey mikes for 10+ years and literally only ever had one of their sandwiches. One day Sarah suggested a new sandwich to me and told me how she switches up the sandwich by grilling it and adding some sauce to it- hands down amazing! She's always making recommendations for new sandwiches and always has great suggestions that I would probably never try on my own. She also suggested heating up their cookies in the microwave and she was SO right! Now I tell everyone to do it! Sarah is is so friendly, always remembers our faces and names and is truly a huge part of the reason we are always going back! It's one thing to be a pleasant employee, but Sarah is over the top with providing amazing customer service and is so charismatic. Food was as expected from any sub shop, customer service was great, I was greeted immediately with a friendly mask covered face. The only downfall, I wanted to do the 5$ after 5pm deal but was told both sandwiches had to be the same size even though the sign said of equal or lesser value. I politely argued that the sign was contradicting to what they told me. I'm a 6'4" 250lb man, I wanted the giant sandwich and the $5 sandwich to be a regular for my more petite wife.
