The service and the saladas are amazing! I'd recommend this place to anyone! I used to work across the street and my co worker recommended this place to me since it's super close to work

Near my work so I thought I would try it. Not a big food selection, but I was happy enough with it. I placed my order online for pickup so I wouldn't have to wait in line. It was ready and hot by the time I got there, so their timing is accurate. It's a small place, but has a decent amount of seats. I got their lunch special with half a sammich and soup. I got the Chicken Pesto sammich and Farmhouse Vegetable soup. Between the two, the soup was my favorite. It was packed with flavor and they don't skimp on any of the ingredients. I could've eaten an entire pint of that and I wished I had gotten more. The sammich was good too, but it didn't blow me away. It definitely could've used more pesto all around or a stronger pesto flavor. Not sure if they make the pesto themselves, but possibly tweaking the recipe would help. Price is pretty good for what you get. I would love to come back and try their other soups once the temperature cools back down in a bit.

I love sandwiches, soups, and salads.. There are seemingly endless possibilities! This place has a ton of options of all three items, plus you can mix and match! I ordered a combo with a (warm) Turkey Artichoke Sandwich and a Pear and Blue Cheese Salad. HOLY SMOKES, guys.. it was incredible. The sandwich came on a soft pita bread with the perfect portion of meat and fresh toppings so that every bite was delicious. The salad was so fresh and had generous portions of pear and blue cheese. After tip, this was about $12, and I would've gladly paid more after knowing how delicious this was. I came during a lunch hour rush, but that didn't have any impact on the quality of their food - it was delicately plated and assembled with care. Staff were busy handling phone orders and walk-in customers, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly my food was ready! If you are one of those people who think that a sandwich or salad can't be filling , think again! When you eat quality ingredients, your body will thank you! I don't live or work near here, and I'm genuinely sad about that. This place is incredible, and I will definitely be back.

5/5 chicken and wild rice soup: rich, creamy, hot, and filled with so much flavor! This is the best soup I have ever had, and the best croutons that I have ever had. This has set the standard for how good I expect soup to be now. 4.5/5 ambiance: Interior is clean and has plenty of seating. There are tables outside for eating outside. 5/5 parking: there is plenty of parking in the lot.

Whenever my family celebrates a birthday, the birthday recipient gets to choose where they want to eat. I've had HFS on my Yelp Want To Go list for quite awhile, so I was happy to finally experience it for the first time. HFS is the spot to indulge in fresh poke, but whenever I dine at a Hawaiian restaurant, my usual order is loco moco. I got to try my family's poke orders, which were delicious, but the HFS' loco moco was okay and the employee with the arm tattoo and wearing a necklace behind the register needs to act like he enjoys working there. Hawaiian Fresh Seafood is located on the west end of Mira Mesa Blvd. and can be traveled to either by exiting the 15 freeway and heading west or exiting the 805 freeway and heading east a short distance. HFS indiscreetly can be found in the middle of a business area that houses several surrounding companies. We visited on a Saturday where adjacent businesses were closed, so there was plenty of parking, but I'm not sure what the parking situation is like when the businesses are open. As you walk towards HFS, you'll see that there's a lot of covered outdoor seating where there's umbrellas and fixed structures providing shade. The outdoor seating consists of rattan chairs, stools, benches, square tables, and round tables within a courtyard. Since it was blistering outside, we decided to eat inside the restaurant where they have a variety of tables/chair settings and two chairs facing their bar. There were several big screen tvs with sports and a cartoon showing. The gentleman who took our poke order had an enthusiastic demeanor and gave off a hustle vibe. The young man with the right arm tattoo and wearing a necklace was not the happiest dude and gave off a negative attitude. Hawaiian Fresh Seafood is a popular eatery where there are two lines to place orders. One line towards the right was strictly for poke orders and the entry through the left door was for orders other than poke. The poke line was jam packed, so most people visit HFS to order poke. We were no exception as my son ordered from their Authentic Hawaiian Style Poke menu section by ordering a poke plate, which comes with three scoops of poke on white rice. For his poke, he chose spicy tuna and spicy salmon. I got to eat a few bites of his entree and it was fresh tasting, refreshing, it might be too spicy for peeps with a low spice tolerance, and it ate really well with the rice. My wife ordered their poke nachos, which comes with 1 choice of poke, wonton chips, spicy sauce, unagi sauce, green onions, avocado, and sesame seeds. My wife chose garlic salmon, which was the most popular poke and after sharing, I can tell why. It was yummy, garlicky, and a really good choice with the chips. I just wished it was a bigger dish than what we got. For my meal, I ordered their loco moco, which comes with a flattened hamburger patty over rice, over easy eggs, brown gravy, green onions, and it comes with a mac salad. It was a good amount of food, but I thought it was just okay. It needed more seasoning, but I did eat my entire plate. I liked the mac salad and wished there was more of it. I'm glad I was able to check off Hawaiian Fresh Seafood off of my Yelp Want To Go list. It was a blessing to celebrate my birthday with my fam eating one of my go to Hawaiian dishes and grubbing on what HFS is known for, but my loco moco was average and the customer service from one of the employees was an opportunity area.

We picked PERUVIAN STEAK SANDWICH, a seared steak tossed in Spicy aji amarillo sauce, then their CHIMICHURRI STEAK BACON; it's a seared steak and applewood-smoked bacon, and also got their SMOKEY BBQ BRIOCHE SANDWICH , this one is a smoke Pork burnt ends with BBQ sauce. Every sandwich we had tasted good, but i like the most the Chimichurri Steak & Bacon, it's more to my palate, not too sweet or not too spicy. Service was quick our sandwiches were done quickly, plenty of staff go around checking the tables and greeting the customers. Parking is easy, with lots of spaces.

I think I was sitting in the store for at least 30 minutes while a family member waited in our car and watched several people park, get their orders and leave. Two people who ordered after us received their food before we did. I finally stood up and only then did an associate crabbily pack up our order and give it to us. When we first arrived, no one even showed up at the counter for at least five minutes. There was another customer waiting behind us as well. My sandwich (Happy Hippie) was not very good...insubstantial and put together in a blah manner. A family member who had the "not so fried chicken sandwich" said it was too salty. I paid $62 for this order (with a tip, which I had added before the long wait...) It obviously wasn't a good value, This is a beautiful and clean store but a general lack of enthusiasm from the associates, inconsistent customer service, high prices, and mediocre quality food will dissuade me from making any future visits to this location.
