It's a unique setup. They share a space with a Burger King so you get decor and furniture from either establishment in the same zone. Nothing wrong just unique. It was clean and bright and not crowded. I got into a bagel making phase a few years ago and my expectations for a good bagel are pretty high. I needed a hearty breakfast so I ordered the Vermonter but subbed a plain bagel so I could get a good idea of their bagel practices. Really nice chew on their bagel. Very fresh and made to order. Employees were super nice and helpful. I was afraid the Vermonter might be too sweet but it was not and had a good savory profile. Especially with the plain bagel subbed for the default French Toast one. Wish we had a Bruegger in TN! They had a cool day old bagel deal for $4.99. I think that was for a pack of 6. read more

This review was a difficult one for me to pick between 2 and 3 stars . The customer service was awkward and unhelpful. It was 6:20 am but still at these very high prices for small bagels you expect to be helped in a friendly manner. The bagel shop is adorable and very clean. The bagels are small and overpriced. My company orders from this locations every month and they always do a fantastic job. The manager, Jescelyn, does a fantastic job ensuring my order is ready. Whether it's finding a receipt I've lost, or getting my order ready with little notice, they always take care of our needs. The bagels are always fresh and the selection of cream cheeses are the best. They also seem to be the only location that answers their phones. Prior to me finding this location, I tried calling other locations that were closer to our office building but when I tried calling, NONE of the locations would ever answer. Because of their excellent service, I now chose to place my order at this location, even though it is a bit further from office. I'd prefer to have the great customer service. Finally this joint restaurant opened in the area. The residents of Mira Mesa have been waiting a long time for Brueggars and Burger King to open. This is a shared restaurant and the drive thru is dedicated to BK. Bagels have limited hours so check the website or the window for its hours. We have tried the bagels on several occasions. I was happy that they offered chocolate chip bagels but very limited and they don't make more if they run out which sucks because my kids love chocolate chip bagels. I have tried the plain, wheat, salmon, and cinnamon sugar. All have been good. My fave is the smoked salmon bagel as an sandwich. At almost $9, the sandwich is pretty filling and the one I ate was fresh and the bagel was toasted nicely. Def recommend! The hazelnut coffee was weak IMO but I'm more of a strong, bold, and dark roast girl. There is a dark roast available but it was out and they needed to make more. Good place to pick up some bagels and if you don't feel like bagels you can just walk over to BK. read more

Although it's a chain, I'm excited to have a bagel shop in Mira Mesa! I got the Western Breakfast Sandwich on an everything bagel which was a filling and flavorful sandwich. I thought the bell peppers were an interesting addition to the bagel but it was all still good. There is seating inside, a large menu of pre-fixed items but obviously you can custom order too. I love that each bagel sandwich is made to order. Great bagel shop that I visit frequently. The bagels are tasty, decent size and affordable. Today I ordered a smoked salmon bagel. Drove home to realize I received a plain cream cheese bagel. I understand that people make mistakes. So I returned to fix my order. When I returned to let the manager Jennifer know my order was wrong. She had the nerve to tell me that she didn't believe me. So Jennifer took my bagel... looked through it like a private investigator. Then threw it in the trash. She then asked me what I ordered with an attitude of disgust as if I tried to scam her salmon. I was actually baffled at how she replied to me since I wasn't complaining or asking for anything extra. I just wanted my original order. I had a moment where I felt like I was being pranked, waiting for the TV crew to come out any minute with a lifetime supply of Bruegger's bagels. But nope I was wrong, it was just Jennifer making my new bagel without gloves and purposely putting 1 caper on each half of the bagel... I was lucky to have my own capers at home. Good Morning/Afternoon, To whom it may concern. I am writing these comments based on my First time visit (15 Oct 0853 am) to the 6735 Mira Mesa Blvd location. Upon arrival, its not that the ladies 3 of them. 2 Hispanics and 1 Filipino were busy but ready for us, so we can place our order. Since, this was recommended by my 17 year niece and 21 year nephew, this is what they wanted to get. Once we have received our order, I placed a 2 dollar tip from our order of $39.76. I decided to check our order and was told by the Filipino lady that everything was there. I felt she gave a little attitude with facial expressions about me checking. 15 minutes back to my place. I noticed that one of the items were not there. So I went back to this same location and mentioned that one of the items was not there. Filipino lady was the first person that I saw and told her that an item was missing. She insisted it was. I told her it wasn't. and I wasn't going to bring them back my nephew, nephew and the bagels with me to show her what we didn't receive, since they were hungry and this is what they wanted. After one time back & front conversation of the item. I asked her " So are you saying you are not going to honor the item that wasn't in order. With attitude from her, she proceeded to place the order with the verbatim on how its made. I then thanked you for doing it. After receiving the bagel. Again, with attitude, she mentioned the item and no other words were exchanged from her. I again, thanked them all for what they do. Because of this experience and her attitude on my First time visit, maybe the LAST impression of the place, I couldn't even eat the bagel because of the poorly customer service she provided. It's sad that, even though I gave a tip for their service. It was bad and not customer service orientated, so it made me feel a certain way of not coming back. Tried this new location this past weekend. The employees were very nice and helpful. We ordered the new sriracha bagel sandwich and a sausage, egg, jalapeño cream cheese on a rosemary bagel (FIRE). The sriracha bagel was just okay, you couldn't really taste the sriracha, just the honey. I personally would not get it again. The other bagel sandwich was delicious, the rosemary bagel was 100/10. The drink selection is not the best, not very many coffee options. I am torn because this place was good. However, Donut Touch is in the same plaza and I prefer their bagel sandwich's. She had also dismissed another family rudely just before that. She was absolutely non- coherent with customer service. Her demeanor, body language and attitude was outrageous. She definitely needed some attention to build-up her customer service skills and service. As I communicated her demeanor and attitude to her, she started slamming the chairs loudly. We understand it's difficult to serve close to closing time, but this type of behavior was not needed. Definitely spoilt a bit of our family time. It was not needed and not necessary.
