I walk in and there are no customers. I ordered giant chicken Philly steak sandwich. The girl takes my order, she doesn't give me a ticket to pay at register so I wait while they serve customers who walked in after me. I asked her how should I pay and she says don't worry we are making it. I just paid at the register with no ticket and they didn't give me a receipt either. If you didn't know it was here, you'd have a hard time finding this store. It's tucked in the back of the shopping center, to the left of Sprouts and Petco (another hidden store). This store is clean, and the people were friendly. One thing I like about this place is Jersey Mike's hand slices their deli meat to order, compared to Subway or Togos where the meat is presliced, and sitting there. Unlike Subway, they're not laden with a spread of vegetables and sauces, so you won't find mayo and mustard as the key sauce. Instead, the place recommends their sandwiches done "Mike's Way" with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oregano, oil and vinegar (which you can get on the side) and cheese. They have hot and cold sandwiches, but my favorite is their Original Italian, which has Provolone, Ham, Prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni on a fresh wheat or white roll. The bread is slightly crusty outside, soft inside, and a regular is more than generous for one person. The Original Italian runs $8.79 but I racked up enough frequent points and got it for free. Plenty of parking, but again, its one of those places you got to know its there. Hope it stays around, as I do like this place. read more

Happy to see the curbside delivery option in these Covid times, plus just not feeling like going into a place. Ordered online (and prepaid tip... this is what you call foreshadowing). Arrived and order not ready... wait and wait and wait, and app says still not ready. Go in and wait as person in front of me is treated very nicely. Advise that I ordered curbside, and wondering what's going on as App says not ready. Get told order has been ready for 10 minutes (translation: dying on the counter)! Given food, try to explain that the curbside delivery isn't working and worker turns his back on me and walks away. As I leave I hear him say to another employee that asked what I wanted... "something about curbside". I tried twice (through corporate and direct email to store) to claw my small tip back... cause I don't know, employees that turn their back on me and walk away without any type of explanation or apology.... don't deserve a tip in my book. We were just going out in the afternoon, looking for something to eat. Almost make it stopped at Mc Donald but when we saw Jersey Mike's Subs we changing minds and go over here to check it out. Restaurant looks very clean. All the workers working here seem like little high pressure of the day. Whatever, cuz i don't mind, first time here by the way. And i asked to the lady what's the most popular, she just likes read to me the whole menus.. Im like, oh! Ok Lol, then I decided to have a mini bread, my thought was the bread supposed to re-toast but they don't. I picked Tuna with cabbage tomatoes, jalapeños, mayo and they put some vinegar sauce which is i think. Bread was package very neatly and stable. They do cut it in half tho. My opinion about the food isn't bad, Tuna fish very good and creamy, perfect balance ingredients but it's could be better to me if it served with the warm bread. I don't know they do or not. We love Jersey Mikes!! But this is dedicated to their customer serivce. This is our 8th time ordering catering from Jersey Mikes and this is the first time we have ran into very bad customer service. First of all we ordered for our Mother's Day celebration, in which we order 150 dollars worth of sandwiches . My husband went to pick up the order at 11:30 am on Sunday 05/08/2022. There was a heavy set female staff that he had to deal with to retrieve our sandwiches, 26 sandwiches, when he asked for the red pepper relish they asked how many would he like. He asked for twelve and they said they could not give him that many. I mean we ordered 26 sandwiches and they gave him 6 lil cups!! Really we just spent 150 dollars and all you can give us is this!! Well looks like i'm not the only one getting my food received not as requested and the manager being completely rude when brought to their attention. i guess it was my bad because we have already had 2 previous orders done incorrectly that we didn't mention but this being the third time and same disappointment. Got home and the orders were incorrect. We called the store back as we already got home and didn't want to drive back. The first lady that answered the phone apologized and said she would get us a voucher/note for replacement sandwiches that would be good for a week. She put us on hold and then the manager came on the phone and said that she made our order personally and definitely didn't put tomatoes or onions on my sandwich, before I could say anything furhter(like well i'm picking onions and tomatoes out of my sandwich as we speak) she hung up. We called back twice to no answer. The third time the first girl answered and told us we can come by and get 2 free sandwiches for the mix up. We appreciated the gesture but after 3 times of getting incorrect orders and now this type of treatment to a client by the "manager", we will not be returning. Having spent many summers of my youth on the Jersey Shore, I believe I'm qualified to comment on these "Jersey" subs or "hoagies," just as often. This place is tucked way back in the shopping center, on the Sprouts side, kinda near Tuesday Morning. They have a pretty nice selection here, but there are really only three subs you need in order to judge an east coast-style sub shop. The foundation is the classic Italian sub: cold cuts, cheese (usually Provolone) lettuce tomato onions oil vinegar oregano or herbs, salt pepper that's it. There is no mustard and mayo. You want authentic? Order it "Mike's Way." I love the convenient ordering. #5 Super Sub comes about the closest to this. The second key sub is Tuna. They got that, #10. Again, "Mike's Way," but add the pickled hot Italian peppers. No, Mr. California, I don't mean Jalapeños, just trust me. Last but not least, the Cheese Steak. More Philly than Jersey, but there's major cultural crossover. Most places fail on delivering a proper flaky-outside, chewy inside Italian roll. The bread here is good, and they appear to bake it often. Again, if you seek authenticity, you need to resist putzing around with your cheese steak, and stay close to the Philly standard of Cheese Wiz, steak and grilled onions. No Wiz here, but the white American cheese is a close #2, and is featured on the #17 Famous Philly. Despite this, on my last trip I ordered the most completely bastardized, Californicated cheese steak imaginable: a #16 Chicken Steak, on a wheat roll, with lettuce, tomato and fresh onion. It was delicious, and we loved every last bite. Looking forward to trying the #44 Buffalo Chicken next time. An inauthentic abomination, no doubt, but I'll bet it's good. Besides, how far is Buffalo from Jersey, really? The only menu knock is that the vegetarian options are minimal. That's the trend these days, especially in California. How about an Eggplant Parm? Or a Soy Sausage and Peppers? If your party can agree on the same sub, I love the Giant option, which can feed two hungry adults or be cut into three smaller portions, very suitable for kids. Kids Meals are a great deal too. Perfect size. Since I've almost quit soda, I love that they have good iced tea. Also, pleasant staff at this location. read more

Some weeks ago, I had a door dash order for pick up from here. When I had arrived to pick it up, my order wasn't in the system. I thought I could clear up confusion by showing the receipt I had from door dash but the manager chose not to look at the receipt I was presenting to her on my phone and kept insisting because it was through door dash and not through them. Even with proof of purchase, Jersey Mike's could not resolve the issue and I left without picking up my order. An alternative solution was not presented to me and when I asked if I had the right address I was feeling dismissed while trying to get the correct address with simple "no" answers. The team was great and helpful by trying to resolve my issue within their power and each of them seemed eager to build the order while I was sorting out the issue but the manager was not helpful in the responses and solutions. read more

Management.. you MUST train in sanitary guidelines. That's just fundamentals. Just got a sandwich from here and your cashier had gloves on, working register. Then they go to sandwich station and start handling food with the same gloves on. That's a big problem. That can get a health department visit quicker than anything. Grossed me out. Subs are good, borderline really good, but to me, way overpriced. One sub, not much larger than a 6 incher from Subway, will typically run you the better part of $10. Throw in some avocado, (extra charge of course), and you'll generally hit that same $10 threshold. Service is friendly and fairly prompt, but I would rather spend my money at the local, Chipotle, Flame Broiler or Subway, all in the same complex. I'm sure I'll be back... We came for a post workout wrap. I ordered the featured veggie sub that had eggplant, avocado, mushrooms, bell peppers, provolone, and sweet pepper radish (and mikes way). I added turkey :) The staff kept on telling me how amazing that sub was (I got it in a spinach tortilla wrap) so I was super excited to chow down. It was absolutely amazing!! I'm giving 5 stars due to the level of customer service and follow thru, along with the good deli food. The staff was so helpful in arranging a large delivery of custom sandwiches to us at a local San Pedro volleyball tournament. They even offered delivery, so convenient. Half of our order included hot sandwiches and they actually arrived warm and flavorful. I didn't expect such service and quality from a fast casual deli but was very pleasantly surprised.
