3/12/2023 Been awhile since I've last been here! Been craving a good cappuccino and wanted to try the latte macchiato again. Cappuccino - It was delicious! Great balance of slight bitter espresso and milk foam! There was a sweetness there too, but added some raw sugar to make it sweeter. Love that they give you a small spoon to stir the good dense layers of espresso and milk foam together, so the drink is balanced and delicious. Latte Macchiato - It's hard to find latte macchiatos in any American coffee shops, as it is a European-style coffee. And no, Starbucks does not make it European-style either, where it was originated. Anyway, so glad to have found it at Caffe Tre Venezie . I loved it the first time I tried it, but this time there was too much milk and milk froth than coffee. Barely tasted any espresso. Disappointed. However, don't let that deter you from trying it! Cornetti (Cream) - This was a croissant type pastry with vanilla custard filling. Chocolate Sable Cookie - Light brownie-like, buttery flavor with a chocolate ganache center. This was a soft cookie and not a typical crumbly sable cookie texture. However, the flavor was good. Torta Della Nonna - This was pretty good. The shortcrust pastry with vanilla pastry cream filling with crumbly crust with confectioners sugar on top. If there was one flaw, it is that it did taste eggy. Customer Service was good all around! The pastries were served first at the counter than the espressos came out quickly then after. Occasionally I'll pull the classic sports car out and I'll go for a leisurely drive with my wife circumnavigating PV. Delightful. We always stop at some small place for a coffee or a boba or a smoothie. The bread on the sandwich was soft and delicious, but $10 for a small sandwich seems a bit high. The cold plate was a nice presentation, but the meat was very salty for me. If you want a Sammie and coffee, it's great. If you want real food, look elsewhere. The service was very nice. It's also in a strip mall. Was looking for a good cafe spot in Lomita and came across this highly rated Italian cafe. Interior is really nice with much decorations and menu is super simple! Me and my boyfriend ordered the Mocha and Chai latte which were both really good! We also ordered a caprese panini and noticed that they were very backed up with others orders as well. It took us around 15-20 minutes to get our caprese but we were not worried as we had a whole day! Even though we waited quite a while the panini was very good! My husband kept raving about this cafe ever since he went with a coworker. They close early in the afternoon, so usually by the time I remember to try it, they're almost closing. Really enjoyed this place. I get their iced hazelnut latte and it's so good! I stopped drinking lattes because there isn't enough of a coffee taste to me. It always tastes more milky than coffee.
