I have been eating Jersey Mike's my whole life, and this was without a doubt the worst service experience I have ever had. I got a giant sub to split with my daughter. She likes it plain and like with the works so at the end I asked them to wrap it separately. This way the juices do not leak into her sub and so I could hand it off to my daughter so she could go off and eat with her friends. The guy on duty maybe the manager told me that I have to order two regular subs to do that. He told me that was the Jersey Mike's policy. First that was an outright lie. It is not part of their policy. He was just being stingy because he straight up said it would require extra paper bag which costs them money. Anybody in the service industry who has half a brain knows giving away a paper bag is not a big deal and would cost them literally a couple of cents. Especially in an area where repeat customers is the MAIN business goal. He was so concerned about that 2 cent paper bag that he messed up my order by putting oil on it when I specifically asked him not to. His whole demeanor was off putting and rude. This dude needs to do the franchise owner a favor and open his ears and shut his mouth! read more

I finally gave in to the TV commercials and tried Jersey Mike's for the first time after getting a haircut at Lincoln Barber. I went with the classic Italian sub, made Mike's Way, and overall, the food was solid. The sandwich was fresh and flavorful, with a good balance of meats and veggies. I do wish it had a bit more olive oil and vinegar -- it could've used that extra punch -- but otherwise, no complaints on the taste. Value-wise, it stacks up well compared to other sandwich spots in the area. You're getting a satisfying, made-to-order sub at a fair price. Service was great. I was in and out in about 5 minutes -- no long wait, and the staff was super friendly and efficient. Once I placed my order, the sandwich was assembled quickly without feeling rushed. Terrible service by the young cook making the hot food. When he finished making my Giant Big Kahuna, I asked him to wrap the sandwich separately. He look at me with discuss and sighed. Every time I go to this location, there are problems. From waiting over an hour for a pickup order that should have been ready in 15min as I was told to the inability to refund me for items they did not have. I am done. Making a sandwich at home or buying one at the MANY Santa Monica restaurants will be much better than the aggravation I get from Jersey Mikes. Bummer because I love their subs. read more

What's the point of mobile ordering if I still have to wait an extra 20 minutes after the hour that was quoted on the app? They were so backed up on mobile orders that people were getting parking tickets for expired meters. Ordered my sandwich at 10:27 and didn't come to pick it up until 11:00 and it still wasn't ready! I only have 30 minutes for lunch, and I had to wait an extra 20 for the damn food. This is absolutely ridiculous! People are walking in and leaving with their food before me, and I had ordered over an hour before just to avoid this, it always happens and these employees take their time and don't even acknowledge the mistake! Obviously jersey mikes is always delicious and this time didn't disappoint. The employees were friendly and chatty (which we liked haha) and made our food quickly and generously. My only negative for this location is that it's not a great place to sit and eat your sandwich. There are a fair amount of tables and chairs inside but the place is super echoey and you feel like you have to keep your voice down or everybody in the whole joint will hear you. I think throwing some random art on the walls or plants would really help! read more

Hadn't been to a Jersey Mike's in several years. When we decided to go to the popular sandwich spot I was excited to see how one of their subs would taste. For a major American chain, the food does laps around fellow competitors, but I still can't help but feeling a bit unsettled afterwards. First thing you should know is that if you step food in any Jersey Mike's during the lunch rush, prepare for madness. It's incredibly busy during peak hours so expect a wait, but their workforce is diligent and efficient enough to get your order out as fast as possible. I went with a Giant sized Italian sandwich cause I figured, might as well get the full Jersey Mike's experience. The meats tasted fine as I enjoyed every bite. I think the Italian is probably the best sub they offer. I wouldn't trust the roast beef or other meats, jus for quality reasons. Will I be returning to Jersey Mike's soon? Probably not, but that's not because I didn't like it. A solid sub for sure that will certainly satisfy your lunch craving. But I think if I'm going to spend $16 on a sandwich, I can probably do it elsewhere. read more

I have frequented this location at least 20 or more times since opening and currently have 222 points. What kills me is when a sandwich maker cops an attitude because he hates his job! I ordered a Regular #6 and a cookie, a fairly straight forward request. For whatever reason these people don't seem to hear you when speaking to the point I have to scream so I have his attention. Mike's way by the way does not include that spicy spread or pepper either. And when you cop an attitude, I don't tip and if Jersey Mike's paid more than a minimal wage they wouldn't be asking customers to subsidize the pay of these fools who work there! I've been a customer of Jersey Mike's for many years And I love their product however unfortunately today I was embarrassed in front of multiple people for no reason whatsoever. Despite a sign on the door stating face coverings optional if you're fully vaccinated I was called out in front of a group of strangers today and shamed for not wearing a mask. when I informed the employee that there was a sign on the door stating I didn't have to wear one if I was vaccinated the employee shook his head and said the sign is wrong. Rick and all the other employees working there were super friendly and accommodating. They were so helpful throughout my visit and explained everything throughly. The restaurant was very clean. There is no parking but my husband parked in the ally while I picked up the meals. I got my kids the jersey mikes sub and they devoured it. The meat gets cut fresh so it wasn't hard and it was thin. Very delicious. My husband and I got the giant kahuna but in a salad form and that too was very delicious. I hadn't stopped by JM for a while but now I will make regular visits. read more

I went to Jersey Mike's today and was extremely annoyed by how long I waited just to get a sub. Not gonna lie, I wanted to complain...but!...I thought about it and just have to say the staff there was extraordinary! There was the lunchtime rush, on top of mobile/catering orders, and not one employee was rude or did a half ass job. They were so busy with people coming and going. Although chaotic inside, what was awesome was the following: 1. The sandwiches were made perfectly and not thrown together. 2. I usually come here at lunch, and boy is the line long! But I guess that's to be expected since the sandwiches are pretty good. Staff are friendly so no complaints there, but not too happy that they took away the local discount (for people who work around the area) because due to lack of dining options within walking distance of work, I actually come here quite often. It could get pricey! Other than that, the dining area is kinda limited but perhaps it's less crowded at non-peak hours? Not sure about parking options since I usually walk here, but it's a great option for a quick lunch. They also do catering as we've done that for work before. All in all, this is an average Jersey Mike's but I wish they would have a better loyalty program or at least re-implement discounts for local customers who come on an almost daily basis. I am beyond excited that Jersey Mike's has finally made their way to Santa Monica. I have been to this location a few times now and while the staff is still new, I am overall impressed with it. Yes, the parking sucks as the spots are small and very limited, so the best is to try to snag something on the street and donate a quarter to the People's Republic of Santa Monica. As far as the inside, the place while small is clean and the staff is no doubt excited to greet you and make you a sub. Slowest location in whole Santa Monica/West LA area! It took 30minutes to prepare regular sandwich! When I came inside it was 4 people waiting including me and 3 workers at the counter side, those 3 workers were so slow and were prioritizing online orders despite that customers were in the store and were waiting at least 10-15 minutes!
