If you want your blood pressure to rise and then get into a heated discussion with the team leader about getting charged extra for a piece of bacon that should have been included on your Giant Sub requesting the manager's / franchise owners info and phone number and getting punked by a teenaged cashier after repeatedly telling her the phone number listed on the receipt goes straight to voice mail and disconnects then by all means place an order at this location during the late afternoon shift. Javier the Lead refused to give me a full refund. Then told me the only thing he could do is provide me with a remake. So here's the situation: I am working a 16 hour shift in a law enforcement capacity and my wife calls in an order and ask for a sandwhich with extra meat and on the grill with Chipotle Mayo. The sandwich was ice cold and the Chipotle mayo was non existent and the extra meat was only regular meat. The phone call: My wife calls to report the problem and is put on hold then Javier answers she states the problem and he the begins to argue that we didnt order on the grill and that he remembers putting on the Chipotle mayo himself and that per policy extra meat is only 1 more slice of meat. Haha so he makes excuses for his incompetence and basically calls me and my wife liars. I then get on the phone as it was on speaker phone and I demand a full refund. He says no he cant. But says he can do a remake. I tell him no thanks I want a full refund. This petty individual then tells me ok I can give you a partial refund but I refuse to give you the extra meat refund. I say this is absurd I will need to speak to your upper management because this is ridiculous. He said go ahead. I said OK I will. This sandwhich was definitely not Mike's way. It was JAVIERS WAY. And that sandwhich tasted like a cold subway sandwich. Horrible service and garbage food. read more

Came in around 5pm today 12/7/25 and idk if they need a raise or better coverage but the girls absolutely killed it despite how many people were coming in, the amount of online orders, and some rude customers. This is a pretty efficient place. There is always a lot of staff, sometimes I don't understand how the process works-various people doing different stations, paying sometimes takes a minute but otherwise all the sandwiches have been on point. I had a very good #3 Ham & Provolone Mike's way on wheat bread which I quickly made into a combo with a bag of chips and ice tea. The submarine sandwich came with a good amount of ham and cheese. The bread was surprisingly soft and flavorful. I usually have issues with their bread here, but I am glad they have improved it. The sandwich was tasty and you can't go wrong having it Mike's way. Horrible!!!!! Tonight 6/23 We ordered two chicken subs and they were dry as a board and plain nasty tasting. The chicken looked old , dry and some pieces were brittle I would have taken the subs back but by the time we got home the store was closed. Came here on a busy Sunday afternoon, was met with friendliness and courteousness above and beyond!! Had a #13 I believe mikes way light lettuce and it was amazing as usual!!! I was trying to order my food which I ordered a tuna sandwich while the guy was trying to spread the tuna by looking at it was drenched with water while spreading the tuna with 4 scoops left from the bowl I asked the guy if I can get a fresh batch. Went in to get a mini 13 and the customer in front of me was being so rude to the staff. She was being very nitpicky and kept saying " IVE BEEN TO JERSEY MIKES BEFORE I KNOW HOW TO ORDER MY SANDWICHES" repeatedly. The staff tried accommodating her but she was stubborn. Came during lunch on a Saturday and I won't do that again, lol. Super busy, as in, 20-25 min wait in line. Now that I know though I will definitely order ahead online. The shop is nice and air conditioned, and there's a bathroom so those are pluses. The first time I went to this Jersey Mike's was amazing. The customer service was wonderful. I was greeted when I came in and each person was very inviting. I got the BLT and it was excellent. The beacon was the perfect level of crisp without being too crunch. The store was clean and the veggies looked fresh. I could tell everyone cared about the service they provided. We have been coming to this jersey mikes since they open off and on and given that this is a chain you know what to expect, however in the last two or so months we have pleasantly surprised with the service! Everyone is so nice and accommodating, they truly try to work fast and be accommodating to everyone's specifications. We have seen when the customers ahead of us can be difficult and they all keep their cool! Today we went in right before closing and Aiden (hope that's how you spell it) helped us, I felt bad because I'm sure 15 minutes before closing they're cleaning and preparing for tomorrow. But Aiden greeted us with the friendliest "welcome in". He helped us out right away, we tried to be quick and he had fun and light conversation and never made us feel rushed. It seems every time I come here it's over 40 minutes to wait for a sandwich. They're either training individuals, or correcting peoples orders. Even if you make an online order and you go to pick it up it's still a 20-30 minute wait. Jersey Mike's needs to do some serious revamping and training. Employees are always rude and have no customer service skills whatsoever granite they all look like they're still in high school. When we tried to order specialty (omitting things we don't like and adding things we do like on our sandwiches) they huffed and rolled their eye. One girl ended up dropping one of our sandwiches on the floor! Yes, it was wrapped up but still! That's nasty! I was already irritated by their lack of customer service so I ignored it. Fell like we can't complain because then they really ruin our food! Well, then we checked the other sandwich we ordered specialty they forgot the Mayo & avocado we requests. They said it doesn't come with it but we told them at the beginning of the order we wanted it and they still insisted the sandwich doesn't come with it. We had to be consistent on telling them we don't care if it doesn't come with it, we wanted it on the sandwich! She said it would cost extra, but again had to say we don't care if it doesn't come with it, we WANT IT! No apologizes, no care in the world. Very disappointing and not the first time at this location. Won't be going to this location anymore. Even our 7 year old daughter said "told you mom, we should've gone to subway!" I've been a fan of Jersey Mike's for a while now, and while I've had their cheesesteak (which is legit), I'm a sucker for the #8 Club sub.. no tomatoes, add pickles and juice it up! And, while I've never had a bad sandwich from JM's, I did order a #8 at a Thousand Oaks location last year, and they were out of bacon.. wish they would've told me that before they made it, but the girl was nice about it, and I was hungry as Hell, so I just accepted it the way it was. Probably just a bunch of dingleberry rich kids working a Summer job anyways.. so, I wasn't really butthurt about it. Anyways, I just found out that this location is only two miles away from my work, so I went here to grab a sandwich on my lunch break, it had been a while since I've had a good ol' #8, and it was the best one I've had yet! The bacon was fresh and crispy, and you could tell all the veggies were freshly cut, and the bread was so soft and recently baked (white bread) it almost had a slight sour dough flavor.. the staff was all friendly, I was pleasantly greeted upon walking in, and well, and the dude who assembled my sandwich just straight HOOKED IT UP! Totally nasty store. First u think they are making smaller bread loafs. Then I noticed roller marks on the cheese. When I asked the employees tried to make something up but it looked like grease on wheels. Well another employee came over I had them wipe it and it was grease. There were what appeared to be dark grey skateboard wheel perfect lines down the cheese and turkey. I was so disgusted that they were on putting this on a sandwich I left and will not be returning. If you order through the app, check your bag before you leave. We've been there four times since it's opened, and every time they forget something. When you call to tell them, or make them aware, not much apology or care. They also seem to like forget the bacon on the #8 most of the time. This spot has potential. It's located in a convenient spot and the parking is much better than the La Mesa location, but I'd rather have my complete order. One star cause the bread is usually pretty fresh. read more
