Used points for my sub and last time I'll ever order a sub (obvious long time member who orders 1-3 times a week) Ordered online went in after 20 minutes gave my name and was told it's a hit item it will be just a minute.... 10 minutes later after watching people enter the store and order hot sandwiches and get them and left while watching him throw 4 steak and cheese on the grill (I ordered chicken) asked about mine and was told there should've been a 44 minute lead time on online orders.......I walked out with no food! How about customer service and you actually take care of your customer who is there to pick up his order and take care of it like he was in line at that point instead of ignoring them and taking care of customers who walk on being them! I love Jersey Mikes subs, however this is the worst location I have ever visited. I have actually walked out due too very poor customer service. They don't acknowledge that you are even there. The last time I was there, two girls working the counter had their backs towards me as I was standing to place an order and never turned around. One guy on the grill. There was a person waiting for their order and me. I had to sit down until by he 2 girls decided to remember why THEY were there. Almost every time I've been there the place was filthy as well! First, let me say food was great. We decided not to Eat in just because the Place was not clean. Many tables had lots of food left on them and used napkins all over the place, drink machine looked very nasty and also Service was very slow. They were not shortstaffed, looked like about seven people in there also Sandwich artist was very rude. A Sub Above says it all! The bread is amazing and SO fresh. Jersey Mike's uses Boars Head meats for all of their sub sandwiches, which I personally love. I order subs from JM's three or four times a month and my sub is perfect every time! The subs are bigger and they put way more meat on your sandwich than other sub restaurants (Subway)!! Friday I visited the Mike's next to my bank. it being lunchtime the store was busy with a wait. after ordering my sandwich, Mike's way, and removing a canned drink from the cooler I prepared to pay. I'd just come from the bank and had cashed a check, as I scrolled through my wallet I realized the smallest bill was a fifty. I was told Mike's doesn't take any bills larger than $20s Mike's Way, would rather throw my sandwich away, and send me away hungry and angry, than make change. weekly I would have my controller round up lunch as an employee booster. Food is OK but service is not on the radar. I've had mixed reviews with Jersey Mike's in this area. The one in Cornelius, they will totally ignore you, particularly if it;s within 30 minutes of closing. Mooresville is somewhat better. This one is more like the Cornelius but granted they are only open a couple of weeks. Drove by one day and the parking lot and inside was swamped so must be pretty good. Looks are deceiving . Went back the next and it did not seem as crowded and I had time so I gave it a shot. Standing in line, it did not take long to see the problem and answer. It was not an issue of being a new popular spot, it was more of an issue of not turning or servicing the patrons quickly enough leading to a back up and one the surface would appear to be an inflated crowd. I had plans for a interesting dinner so wanted to eat light so I ordered the mini Italian which in of itself made for a filling meal. At this point, poor division of labor is making for a lengthy preparation of the sandwich. Good thing I did not order something hot. Sandwich in the end was very good but a few concerns and they were as follows: At the meat slicer, the buildup of scrap behind the blade raised cleaning issues. Remember I do run a FDA Food Facility so I can be a bit picky. Second, after my sandwich had been prepared, it sat there next to the cashier on the bare counter top. Only later was it put onto butcher paper and I never once saw that food contact surface sanitized the time I was there. I'm here picking up a to go order for someone- man this Place is so so dirty. I don't know how they have a 96 health score. Some weird science experiment growing in the drink machine. Black mold where the ice comes out. The lid holder has trash dirt or dust under the lids. Floor has food and trash strewn about even though 3 employees lean against a counter that's covered in food of previous orders. Located not far off of I-40 in Statesville, I was craving Jersey Mikes tonight on my long road trip, so I was happy to be able to stop in for a quick/easy in and out dinner. We were treated with the upmost respect and courtesy by the employees! There were two young ladies working, and even though there was quite a line, they both got our orders out in a timely manner. The entire restaurant was clean and well stocked, including the restrooms. When we were paying for our meal, one of the ladies noticed my military ID, and offered us a discount, which we REALLY appreciated! Overall, we had a pleasant & painless experience from start to finish. I asked why they use the service. "It is a corporate decision. I have been in contact with Uber Eats but management needs to not offer delivery OR have the staff contact UberEats to give the customer a call that it is not coming. Going in to the store is at least a little better experience than ordering on their app. It really bothers me to no end that you can only get what they call "Mike's Way". For example, a turkey sandwich can only be ordered with Provolone Cheese. They have an option for Swiss cheese on the veggie sandwich, but again, no choice to choose something else (No requests allowed on the app. Same with adding green peppers... no go on the turkey but they have an option for it on the veggie. Don't understand why the rating on this location is so low. I eat in a lot of Jersey Mike's and this one is above average. A newer location which is clean. Customer service was spot on going thru the stations. Was at the end of a lunch rush and as soon as the counter cleared all the workers started cleaning. The floor, the grill and counters all getting set for the next customers. My sub was made just the way I like it. Bread was fresh and delicious. Only complaint I might have is that the sweet tea was not as sweet as usual. I normally go half and half on the tea. Only sweet on this run. My family and I were very excited that Jersey Mikes was returning to Statesville, and in a very convenient location as to compared to the previous location. Sadly, we have been very disappointed in the service. First visit was several weeks after the grand opening(waited for the initial surge to subside) on a weekday around 3:30pm. We had to wait for 40 minutes to get two subs. The crew was disorganized and could not pull it together. Giving it another chance, I returned on Sunday 10/8/17 around 4:00. This time I waited for over 45 minutes again for two turkey subs! The young lady cutting the meat could not keep up and the service was awful. I'm not sure who owns this franchise location but you need to be there to oversee your investment because you are going to be out of business real soon!
