I ordered the Chicken Philly bowl for lunch. I had high expectations since everyone has been talking about their bowl options. Once I got back to work 6 mins up the road I opened it and was in disbelief at the quality of the food and the portion size that was inside the container. I took a picture to post but I can't post a picture for some odd reason. There wasn't even enough food to put on a hotdog bun and fill it up. The cheese was hard and stuck to the bowl and the chicken was very dry with absolutely no flavor. I added the entire side of chili pepper relish but that didn't help much. Highly disappointed. I had not patronize this business in a while, but when I did go to get a sub, it was subpar the person that was serving me seemed that she was more interested in conversation than actually making a good sub and I have not been back to Jersey Mike's since that time. Usually love jersey mikes and they knock their sandwiches out of the park. This location gave me an absolute sub par of a steak and cheese. Ordered a $20 something dollar giant big kahuna (26 and change with a drink) and the bread was stale and the meat didn't even fill the whole sandwich... about 2-3 inches on each end with nothing on it maybe some cheese. Barely any flavor compared to what i usually get. Wont be returning to this location that's for sure. read more

JERSEY MIKE'S! What I love about this place the most is they cut your meat for you right there when you order. It's not in a bin, in a chill station, but kept in a storage refrig right there. Another thing is the stringly lettuce. Something about stringy lettuce that sets off a sandwich. Walked into this location and was greeted by the staff. I have enjoyed Jersey Mike's subs for over two decades. I especially like their tuna salad and that's what I usually buy. So, I recently called and placed an order over the phone. I asked for a tuna salad 6" sub. She said Mike's Way and I said no. I just wanted Mayo, cheese, onions and tomatoes. I ordered Lays potato chips and was very specific to say "Not Baked" just regular classic chips and a can of root beer. In the past they have given me those tasteless baked chips and I wanted to avoid that happening again. I pick up my food and go home eagerly looking forward to dinner because I was really hungry. The root beer was exactly what I ordered and so were the chips. I was feeling like I had cracked the chip ordering code, at last. Then I pulled out the sub. It was some different kinds of lunch meat (which I don't eat because they are slimy and full of sodium nitrite and nitrate - proven carcinogens). It had provolone cheese - never my favorite, jalapeño peppers and it was made Mike's Way. What the heck? Where was MY sandwich? I can only assume some poor guy got my tuna salad and was as shocked as I was. It was too far to go back so I just ate it. Actually, it tasted good but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was eating something really bad for me. Anyway, attention to detail is important; even at Jersey Mike's. Classic Italian, Mike's Way, no tomatoes, add jalapeños, mayo, pepper relish, and spicy brown mustard on rosemary Parmesan bread. It'll change your life... or at least change the way you think about subs. Staff is friendly, fast, and efficient. They also write the name on the subs, which is helpful when you're getting lunch for the office. Avoid the Chesapeake Square location though if you want it to be made correctly. In order to get there, if you're coming from the interstate, you'll have to make a U-Turn at the light that's right by it. For just a little more money, you could probably go elsewhere to purchase all the same ingredients and make twice as many (if not more) subs as they give you for your one. What you are basically getting here are fresher ingredients with someone making it for you. While the staff was friendly, helpful and cooperative, the value for the money just seems far too low for me to want to come back. Well, the sub I got today had so much cornmeal on the bottom I left what looked like a pile of sand on the table. Additionally there were two large, unappetizing hunks of cornmeal stuck to the bottom of the sub roll which I had to pick off. Hours later, my mouth still feels "dusty"! I got chicken chipotle but there was no hint of any chipotle flavor. The sub was otherwise nothing special. Have had many as good at many restaurants that serve philly steaks and various hoagies. I much prefer Zero's. I think Fire House is better. The bad stomach issue I had really gives me no reason to eat there. I eat all kinds if places and have never had experiences as bad as this, or the next door. Sure you get something a little "off" now and again but this was WAY off! Add to that the minuscule front parking lot (majority if parking is on the side of the chipotle side if the building) I have no desire to go here - but the cost is much bigger issue in general. Each time she told me to slide my card...each time I told her the same answer...the screen says "processing...pease wait". The machine tried to allow me to use Apple Pay. I opened a Yelp account just to write a review. I'm a vegetarian and I ordered a veggie sub when my co workers placed an order. I basically said make is a veggie and load it up. What I ended up with was about 1.5 pounds of floppy cheese covered with limp shredded lettuce a couple anemic tomato slices and watery mayo. It was by far the worst representation of a veggie sub but the crappy "veggies" on it are a clear reflection on how much the staff there does not care. Save your money. The tuna on my husbands sub was wet and runny. . . disgusting. Paid almost a $40. They could not even eat their subs. My husband called and told the manager about the situation with his sub, we didn't even mention the problem with my son's sub. He told him to come in and he would give us a free sub...so much for that. Since we don't live nearby my mother-in-law went to get the sub. When she went in to receive the free sub he told her it was for a regular sub. Not what we bought. She asked him if he needed to see the receipt and he said no he didn't. She still had to pay $9. I just want my now $50 back from this place. I will never go back to get a wet, soggy sub from here again.
