    Grabbing some lunch
    Renee H.

First time trying this spot. So glad I found it! Mediterranean is my favorite and Ghassan's provided super fresh, delicious food! The dining area is very casual. Lots of people that seemed to be regulars stopping in for lunch while we were there. The young lady taking orders was very pleasant. I had the Mezza Plate which consists of falafel, tabouli, labne, muhannara, hummus and pita bread. It was so delicious! My daughter had the Veggie rice bowl and loved it! I don't live in Greensboro but when I'm out that way, I'll definitely be going back for more!

Delicious food, made fast and easy! Love this place, it's definitely one of my go-to lunch spots. Their chicken shawarma is delicious as well as their rice. Must try!

Food was great, and the service is fast! The place could be a bit cleaner as most of the tables needed to be wiped off. 9/10 Would definitely recommend and I plan to go back!

My first time at Ghassan's made my entire day, maybe even week?! I had never tried this place because I have my go-to Greek places and I didn't deviate too much, until now. This building is a bit older and the inside ambiance is not much to look at, but the food speaks for itself. You order at the front of the restaurant and are given an order number on your receipt. Lunch time is pretty busy but they do a great job of getting the food out of the kitchen. I LOVE their bowls. It has all of the delicious things, like hummus, tzaziki, red cabbage, and more that you want with a platter but would have to order extra sides usually. Their harissa chicken was delicious and flavorful, as well as the Kafta, but my favorite is the falafel. Some of the best I've ever had. The prices are amazing and the food is solid. I love that this place is near my new office location because I'll be coming for a visit as much as I can.

Food is hot and fresh. Made to order. Quick and easy. I usually go for dinner or late lunch so it's not a long wait during this time. Because they are jumping for the lunch hour rush. No complaints. Prices are very reasonable.

Ordered the Veggie rice bowl today and added harissa chicken. The bowl was colorful and full of flavor and I love how I was able to have a little sample of dips and sides. I especially enjoyed the muhammara dip, the cauliflower and the purple cabbage. Not pictured is a side of za'atar fries which were delicious, especially dipped in tzatziki. Also, Jenn was awesome and very welcoming and attentive!

The space has a laid-back, industrial vibe and does a great job honoring the building's history. This is the third business I've seen occupy this location since moving to Greensboro, and I love that they kept the original garage door windows while giving the space a fresh identity. Between the craft cocktails and arcade games, it's a fun place to spend an evening. The cocktails are great and well crafted. They run about $15, every drink I've tried has been enjoyable, but the House Cosmo has become my go-to, the martini list is a favorite of mine. The bartenders are always friendly and welcoming, and it's fun knowing that one of them founded Girls Guide to Greensboro. George's Garage also keeps things interesting with a great lineup of events, including monthly book clubs, craft nights, and weekly trivia (shout-out to Zero Dark Nerdy!). One tip if you're visiting: George's Garage shares the building with Machete and Sage Mule, so there are parking spaces nearby. Just don't park at Deep Roots Market--you'll likely get towed. Whether you're meeting friends for happy hour, planning a date night, or just looking for a pre or post meal drink, George's Garage is definitely worth checking out. I'll definitely be back.

Plenty of cozy areas with couches, chairs, tables, bar and high tops. Friendly service and great cocktails from our bartender today. Very generous portion sizes and phenomenal flavors. The breakfast club standout was the pork sausage. Absolutely excellent and elevated that flavor profile to the highest degree. If you get the chilaquiles, I highly recommend getting both salsas. It offers a great contrast of flavors. I got mine with the birria meat and I was completely satisfied. The blueberry hushpuppies were an amazing surprise. Like deep fried donut holes. The cinnamon butter that goes alongside it was a perfect pairing. Finally, the beignets were melt in your mouth good. Like flaky funnel cakes. I want to give a special shoutout to our server Raegan. She was great in recommending items along with making our drinks to order. They have an array of specialty contrails and some solid liquor choices including buffalo trace's limited purchase bourbon (eagle rare/ blantons). Food: the Brussels, sandwiches, and salads looked amazing (neighboring patting got those). We split a few things: Brisket: nit the best I have ever had, but solid choice. Maybe not for the $, but it was fall apart brisket. Wings: these are crispy fried with sauce on the side. A little hard but good. Not my favorite. The poutine was by far a favorite with the melty cheese and the gravy was delicious. We also had the street corn and with the lime was pretty good as well. These 4 things were plenty for the 2 of us with a little extra. We didn't mind paying the extra because of the experience. I did about die of heat, but I should have put a hair the in my bag and wore a skit or just not jeans. We will definitely be back.

Jill and Kayne, who previously created KAU at Revolution Mill before selling it to Pepper Moon, also own Old Town Draft House and Boulder's Bar and Grill. Each and every one is amazing in its own way. Old Town has been one of the longest standing establishments, and it puts out incredible food! Burgers, wraps, apps, salads, wings, sandwiches, Philly's, even a burrito... you name it. Pretty much everything that comes out of this kitchen is a hit. Today I had the chicken Philly. Yep, the best chicken Philly I've had in a very long time. The classic soft Philly hoagie, chicken that's tender and juicy, peppers and onions full of flavor with the perfect consistency (not too limp, not too raw), all topped with oozing cheese that they're not shy with. I'm salivating just thinking about it as I write this...may have to go get another one tomorrow lol. The housemade chips and dip were perfect with it. Great craft beers, local options, and everything in between round out a perfect pub in the heart of UNCG. This one is definitely in the rotation. On a Saturday afternoon, I was in Greensboro and in the mood for some good pretzels and a draft beer, and this hit the spot. Old Town Draught House has a very old bar ambience, without feeling worn out and dated. I love the old dark wood throughout the building. They have a pretty broad draft beer menu, along with normal bar offerings. I was happy to see multiple sour beers on the list, because that's exactly what I was in the mood for. There's no table service, and it is seat yourself, but the bartenders were very attentive, and it was never difficult to place an order at the bar. We ordered a few beers and decided to get deviled eggs and the pretzels as appetizers to share. Food came out very quickly. The pretzels were pretty good, but I've had better elsewhere. Rather than being crispy, they were soft and a bit soggy, but the flavor was great. The beer cheese was on point, although I would've preferred a spicy brown mustard over yellow mustard. The deviled eggs were a bit of a letdown, because it was just a hard-boiled egg cut in half with a little bit of sweet chili peppers and dressing that tasted like 1000 Island on top. When I think of deviled eggs, I anticipate the egg yolks being removed, mixed with a few ingredients, and piped back in. For what was basically two eggs cut in half, the six-dollar price tag was steep. Overall, we had a great experience, although I would likely choose different food options next time. The bar staff were great, the beer offerings nice, and the ambience was a good vibe.
