Spinach pie
Arthur S.

Great spot off the beaten path. Weiners were fresh and delicious. I ordered a spinach pie and had them add pepperoni and cheese. It was very good and I'm glad I stopped in. I ate outside at the picnic table, which was tucked away in the shade and really wasn't attended to by the looks of it. The inside wasn't to welcoming to guests, as the covid measures were still in place and the dining area was blocked off. As I was there, several happy customers came in and out quickly to grab take out. I was surprised how busy it got here. Some took it to go and some ate in there car. I opted for the unwelcoming picnic table to avoid the weiner smell in my car that seems to last for days :)

a sign on the corner of a street

It's a very unassuming diner with little signage. We stopped here for a quick bite after berry picking across the street and it hit the spot. This little joint served up some very tasty weiners all the way. We also enjoyed a steak and cheese sandwich... crispy buttered, grilled grinder roll chock full of griddle fried shaved steak topped with cheese. It was closed for indoor dining when we were there but has a retro, original feel of what you'd expect for a local eatery. Service was friendly and prompt. Worth a visit!

I did not see the coffee beverage I wanted and ordered a flat white instead, along with a slice of lemon blueberry bread. I don't usually drink coffee with this much milk, but it was tasty and smooth so no complaints. The slice of lemon bread was very thick, sweet and flavorful. This has recently been our favorite restaurant--but after this event, it's officially the only place we will host gatherings or recommend to others. From the moment we arrived, Mike and Crystal, the owners, exceeded every expectation. Crystal, in particular, made everyone feel completely at home. She was incredibly attentive and somehow in tune with even the smallest details--down to noticing who was eating, who needed something, and who might have been missed. That level of care is rare and meant so much to our entire family. I'll admit, I went into the evening a little nervous because I'm very detail-oriented and like to plan everything myself. But they went so far above and beyond anything I could have anticipated. They made the entire night feel effortless. One of the many thoughtful touches that stood out was that they even put up a special 70th birthday announcement on their TV screens--such a small detail, but it made the night feel even more personal and celebrated. They also went out of their way to accommodate our only vegan guest, preparing a special dish with thoughtful modifications so that they felt just as included as everyone else. It was seamless and incredibly kind. What made the night truly unforgettable, though, was how personal everything felt. They interacted with our kids, held their hands, and treated our family like their own. It didn't feel like we were at a restaurant--it felt like we were being hosted by people who genuinely cared. I cannot thank Mike and Crystal enough for making my mother-in-law's 70th birthday such a memorable, special experience. We are beyond grateful and will be back again and again.

What a hidden gem!!!! Food: - It's a breakfast/brunch diner with a big menu but I was so surprised to see pupusa on the menu! I have been craving it! Pupusas are a thick griddle cake or flatbread from El Salvador and Honduras made with cornmeal or rice flour. So I ordered the red beans and cheese and herb and cheese one (it came with 3 pupusas). All I can say was wow! It hit the spot and it tasted so authentic and delicious! - I also ordered a side of fried plantains and home-fries which were also cooked just right! - for drinks I ordered the hibiscus juice drink which was so refreshing. Service: The service was great. Our waiter was friendly and very attentive. Our orders came out pretty quick too. And the place was closing and they didn't rush us. Ambiance: It looks like a typical cozy diner. Lots of seating. A big screen tv near the door. There's also a parking lot right in front, so it's an easy spot to find parking. I would definitely go again!

The Portuguese benedict was pretty good. French toast like sweet Portuguese bread as a base with linguica and soft runny egg topped with hollandaise sauce. Slightly sweet and savory and definitely one of better eggs benedict I've had in RI. Home fries were crunchy and flavorful. Coffee was solid as well. Order came fairy quickly and service was good Overall the place is a solid breakfast place with good food and service. I like that this place isn't too crowded and wait time isn't crazy because a lot of other breakfast places are very busy and it's really not worth the wait. This place is a hidden gem and would come back again for breakfast. The locals seem to know the place as it seems like there are some regulars.

When we arrived there was parking available and no wait, but by the time we left, the tables were pretty full as was the parking lot. The Cozy Grill is quite literally cozy inside... the menu features breakfast classics but also an impressive Benedicts menu. I'm a Benny girl through and through so this was very appealing to me. I tried their most popular option, the Fig, Prosciutto, and Goat Cheese. It sounds like a bizarre combination for Eggs Benny, but let me tell you, it really works! I was very happy with my choice. The home fries were also quite good. My friend had eggs and corned beef hash. She is a huge fan of corned beef hash and was really impressed by how it was served (more elegantly than is typical). I, never having had corned beef hash in my life, tasted hers and thought it was really good! All in all, I'm so glad I finally discovered this spot. Walked into a cozy cute very busy restaurant, greeted within two minutes, took our Beverage order and was off, They specialize in bloody Mary's mimosas as well as special coffees very nice, back in three minutes with the drinks, taking the order and she was off I must say the waitress is very nice very polite and very efficient! that being said within 10 minutes. The main courses arrived looking fantastic. I didn't post any pictures this time cause looking at the plates from the reviews on Yelp it's basic eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes on a plate no special garnishes so I apologize in advance for that however, the food was fantastic. Everything was hot. My only gripe was being from Rhode Island and the Portuguese community being very relevant here they serve Portuguese chorizo and my wife ordered this and it was quite dry not juicy at all. That was a bummer coming from Florida, You can't get it! everything else was phenomenal I must say this was a great experience and if you're ever in the area for a great breakfast and you want to stay away from the chain restaurants that serve breakfast check out The Rhody you won't be disappointed I have spoken...

My friend had come here before and boasted about their portion sizes, and he was not wrong. It had eggs (2), bacon (5 slices), toast (2), home fries, French toast (1), and pancakes (2). The eggs were cooked just how I wanted them, the bacon was cooked to the perfect crispiness and the most slices I have ever gotten at a breakfast place, the toast was a bit over toasted but Harriet's has been forgiven, and the home fries were delicious because of the flavor but also because of the different textures - soft, crunchy, slightly chewy. The French toast was simple but so good, and the pancakes were fluffy and massive. The inside is nice, and lots of natural light coming in. It was decorated with St. Patrick's Day stuff, I appreciated the small details. Our waitress was very attentive and charismatic and did a good job of coming around the perfect amount of times.
