Dozens of cars queue up to get washed on 3/14/22. I picked the line that moved fastest, yay me!

SPARKLE 'N SHINE   This car wash in Bolingbrook offers a good value clean for your vehicle.   I drive past the Jet Brite on Boughton every day (it's 1/2 a mile west of I-355), but this one on Weber Rd near Red Robin and Andy's Frozen Custard is closer to the house.  After spending the entirety of the Chicago winter wash-less, my Mazda had crossed the threshold of "filthy" and ventured into "is that a car under there??" territory.  I consulted the forecast and felt 3/14/22 was as good a time as any to get 'er cleaned up.   Jet Brite uses a $3 basic car wash as their main selling point, and from there you can add on extras like undercarriage douching, front fender bikini waxing, a Brazilian trunk lift, etc.  I might be getting my deals mixed up, but I'm fairly certain those are the services they offer.   I like that they have color-changing LEDs inside the car wash for customers' enjoyment.  Grab a snack, crank some tunes, and vibe out!  It's not like you can go anywhere once your tires are locked into the roller track, so might as well have some fun with it.  There's free vacuums at the exit and possibly rags for drying, though I've never stopped long enough to check.   A word of warning: if you intend to get your car washed while the rest of the known universe also decides on getting their car washed, expect to see a line.  I waited about 10-15 minutes at 6pm on a weekday in March, and I was lucky in picking the lane of cars that moved fastest.  Gates control the flow of traffic going into the wash, but if you go during off-hours you should cruise right in.   * TL;DR *   Jet Brite easily wiped off four months of snow, salt and general Midwestern yucky from my car, and now it once again gleams in the suburban sun.   While you could get the budget wash for three bucks, consider getting the $7 jet blast--it's like an enema for your 4-wheeled friend!  But don't take my word for it, just ask my Mazda 6: *engine vroom vrooms*

Dent and scratch down to paint

I took my car to this car wash expecting a routine cleaning, but what I got was a dent and a two-inch scratch down to the paint, which was clearly caused during the wash. I immediately filed an incident claim, hoping for a fair resolution. However, after "investigating" for just one hour, they came back with a denial, claiming the damage must have occurred before I even entered the wash. This is completely absurd - I was not aware of any damage prior to using their service, and it is clear the car wash was the cause. When I requested proof of their so-called investigation, they refused to provide anything unless I filed a claim with my own insurance first. I have never encountered such an unprofessional and dismissive attitude when trying to resolve an issue. They make it incredibly difficult to get any proof of their investigation and require you as the customer to have to file a claim through your own insurance to see any of their "investigation". Their lack of transparency and refusal to provide the necessary documentation speaks volumes about their business practices. If you care about your car, I strongly advise avoiding this car wash at all costs!!!! The quality of service and customer care is absolutely abysmal.

    Tow hook cover no more.

This place is the worst. They have their blowers/dryers turned up so high that they routinely blow parts of cars off. I had a tow hook cover on my bumper blown off and when I went back to try and track it down one of their employees took me to a garbage can near their dumpster to sift through license plates, wipers, side view mirror covers and antenna covers that had been ripped off of cars since the last garbage pick up. The guy seemed oddly proud of it all. Go here if you don't care about whether your car comes out of the wash intact.

Rear bumper. Scratched from the brushes.

Absolutely disgusting experience at Jet Brite Car Wash in Bolingbrook…read more I went there simply because I wanted to CANCEL my membership. Instead of being treated with basic respect, I was treated disrespectfully because I was having difficulty speaking English. The way I was spoken to and treated made me feel discriminated against because of my race, language, and background. Not being fluent in English does NOT make me stupid, inferior, or someone who deserves to be talked down to. I was a paying customer trying to handle a simple membership cancellation. There was absolutely no reason for the attitude, disrespect, or humiliation I experienced. If your business takes people's money, then your employees should be able to treat those same customers with dignity when they decide to cancel. You don't get to treat people like garbage simply because they have difficulty communicating in English. Management needs to seriously address how customers who speak limited English are being treated at this location. I hope corporate understands that this type of behavior can have serious consequences for a business's reputation. I will NEVER recommend Jet Brite Car Wash in Bolingbrook to anyone. I came in to cancel a membership and left feeling disrespected and discriminated against. That's not customer service. That's unacceptable.

And I know it's a car wash at a gas station, but was more impressive than I thought it'd be. I bought gas first, and I really liked the new branding Mobil had going on. There were some slick red and blue-colored structures above each pump, which looked extremely cool. I should also add that I use this phrase "new branding," but also that I rarely go to Mobil and this could've been a change made seven years ago. This Bucky's/Mobil trip is also notable because it was the first time I'd ever checked "yes" at a gas station when asked if I wanted to add a car wash. At Bucky's/Mobil, I saved 10 cents per gallon when adding a wash. That rocks. I only paid $8 for the car wash, which was pretty detailed and quick, and according to my dad, was "gentler on my car" than most washes. I have no idea what that means, if that's even true, or how such a thing is determined... but he's a dad, so I trust it. :) If you ever need a late-night car wash or want to try this inconspicuous gas and car wash spot, go for it! You might like it more than you think.
