Our new roof and gutters are beautiful- and were installed according to schedule and the cleanup was thorough. I was concerned about my garden, which was right next to the house, but Glen took care to minimize the falling debris from the roof and covered things up with tarps. The new gutters are a significant upgrade from our old ones and I no longer have spillover during heavy rains. Our garage door frame was slightly nicked during the delivery of the pallets of roofing materials, and even though Glen's team was not responsible for the delivery, he spoke to his supplier, arranged for replacement parts, and very kindly repaired the damage himself. Though the damage was only to one side of the garage, he offered to replace the other side as well - and refused to take any payment from me for the extra work. Ronnie Davis explained the process of replacing the entire roof as our house is 41 years old and it had developed several leaks. He got on the roof himself and inspected it. We also had new gutters, gutter guards, and downspouts installed. The gutters only took about an hour start to finish. We asked them, while they were still on the ladder, if they could fix one of shutters that had started to fall ( because it had been up there for 41 years) and they said that it was no problem. The most expensive started at $20K and without changing anything at all came down to $9,500 after I said no for about 30 minutes. That reminds me of another aspect of what I liked about Master Roofing. There was absolutely zero pressure. I was not made to feel if I didn't sign on the bottom line immediately, I'd lose out on special pricing. Master Roofing did not make me sit with them - Some companies required my wife to be there with me for the hours long intimidation sales pitch. Lastly, their employees are not subcontractors who worked very hard did a great job. I've been in general construction most of my life and nothing jumped out to me as being done incorrectly or half-assed. I also sent pictures and questions to my cousin in GA who literally builds entire houses. He said it looks great. I had a great experience with a small, family run business that's been in business for decades and wanted to share my opinion because of it. One of the best experiences I've had working with anyone. Let's break it down: Honesty - I called Rob at Roof Fanatics after getting the high-pressure sales pitch from two different companies in a row. I was dreading getting another quote. Rob's entire ethos is the anti-high-pressure pitch. He told me what I needed to know, gave me options, and then let me decide. His prices were very fair and super competitive for the level of attention we received. We also needed to delay work while we addressed a non-related structural issue. Rob was patient, and never pressed us to move faster than we were comfortable with. Attention to detail - After coming by to look at the roof, we asked him to come back to look at the siding as well a few weeks later. Rob remembered my dog's name - this might be a minor thing, but it spoke to the fact that he was paying attention, and treating us like a valued customer (before we had paid him a cent!), not just another stop on his route. He personally inspected the work after each crew had finished - siding, roof, gutters. He noticed things down to the last screw, and took care that everything was done to the highest standard. Quality - Our house looks @#%! awesome. We started with an old roof that, cracking vinyl siding, and gutters that were not getting the job done. I'm very pleased with the final result - Rob even custom-sourced gutter diverters to help us install rain barrels. The final result is better than I could have hoped. Service - Along the way Rob spent a ton of time communicating with me - answering questions, discussing options, and helping me understand every detail of what was happening to my family's home. I know he has other customers, but the level of attention I received for our project made me feel like the whole company was focused on my job. UPDATE: I also referred Rob to my church, where we asked him to do some siding work and to look at the roofs of two church buildings where we had experienced leaks. I am disappointed with Springfield roofing and wish I had used another company for my roof…read morereplacement. The salesperson Ben failed to tell us that the roof he was suggesting/installing included smart vents that drastically change the appearance and curb appeal of our roof. We left town during install to get away from the noise, and came back to a roof that looks like a power line has fallen on it, I've included a picture of one section below. I called Ben and he said "he gets this a lot but we'll get used to it" and assured me it is the best way to vent the roof, which I don't doubt. The issue is it looks terrible, and is not like the roof appearance we had before. After another call he told me they want to make it right, which I appreciated, and said if we wanted to change it in a few months they would do that for us free of charge. A few weeks later I asked for that in writing, then he completely backtracked. Now he claims he never said they wouldn't charge for it, and actually cant fix it. All while not returning my calls. So we're stuck with the appearance and an HOA issue because it looks different than what we had before. I've tried to work with them and they've stopped returning my calls. Avoid Springfield Roofing and you'll thank me later.
