Alonzo & his team are AMAZING!! I had severe wind damage that resulted in siding on one side of my home to either fall off or begin to peel off. Alonzo worked with my homeowners insurance. He provided them all the documentation they needed to approve my repair.  On the day of my repair, I had an older family member at my home because I had to work. Alonzo's team arrived on time and was nice to my family member even when she "checked" on them a few times. When I arrived home after work the team was wrapping up. I was SHOCKED how close they were able to match the color of my new siding with the rest of my home. I was so grateful the team took the time to make sure every nail was picked up by using a magnetic apparatus. The side of my home they repaired is above my flower garden. I didn't have to worry about nails sticking me when I put down mulch recently and when it is time for me to use my lawnmower to cut my grass.  As a female homeowner, I unfortunately encounter contractors that are rude or try to quote me a higher price. We had a couple of leaks on our roof, and several other roofing companies tried to get us to do a "free" full replacement via insurance claim. However our roof was replaced a few years before we bought the house and is not that old, so I felt it was overkill. Jet renovation took a look and quickly diagnosed the leaks to be due to the ridge vent rather than the shingles themselves. They also found a few other areas that needed repair (flashing, vent seals). They were flexible with scheduling and when they showed up, worked efficiently. Even after they finished the planned items, they pointed out that one of the gutters was full of water and the wood holding it was starting to rot. I asked if they could fix it that same day, and after a trip to the supply store they were back and fixed the gutter mounting (likely saving me a fallen/broken gutter in a few months). We had a very tricky roof install, as the previous owner had the roof four layers of shingles deep, and much of the decking needed to be replaced. JET's estimates were deeply fair, and well outlined, and the roof looks great. The estimating process was quick and easy, and Alex was wonderful to work with. First, none of their employees are wearing a mask. Its odd as they are working in the densest part of the city. Second, they routinely block a major ally that numerous families and buildings use to access their homes, parking, etc. They block the ally long enough to create traffic on 15th and 16th. They are rude and hostile when asked to move. They do not have the requisite city permits to block this throughway. read more

After two years the wood underneath the roof is rotting. Jet Renovation came out to see it right away and told me that they would NOT be covering any repairs under the warranty. Their stance was that the rotting of the beams underneath the roof is not because of failure of the roof and insisted it was because we didn't keep our gutters clean enough. Even though when testing with a hose today, he commented that the gutters were clean and he could run water all day without having it overflow. We clean the gutters, and I believe that the definition of a working roof is one that protects the structure underneath from water damage. read more

Alex has been wonderful. He routinely provides a quote much less than the other quotes and delivers solid work (on budget). The team comes when they say they will come, work quickly and clean up after themselves. One time they came by to check what I thought was a problem but turned out to be nothing - no charge. Also, we have a four story, row house condo. They are one of the few roofing places that carry a long enough ladder to reach our roof safely. We went through many companies until we found this one - they are great. read more

I hired Alex to install a new downspout, requiring switching the slope of one gutter to the new downspout location, and plugging the hole where the previous downspout was attached to the gutter. He gave a quote that was 35% higher than the average of other quotes I received, but I decided to go with him anyway, because I had to make changes to the work contract 3 times due to poor communications from HOA requirements of my community, and Alex was cooperative. Overall he did a decent job on this relatively small effort. Had our involvement ended there, I would have given him 5 stars. Where things took a turn for the worst was when 2 days after work completion, during a massive thunderstorm, I noticed a significant water leak from the gutter. I took a video and sent to Alex asking him to come take a look and that I would work with him to simulate the rain using a water hose. He immediately came back claiming he knows exactly what is the problem, and rejected the need to come take a look. His solution involved more work for him, at more of a cost. I became skeptical of an up-sell scenario, and requested he fix the issue under the 5 year warranty he had offered in the contract. He denied any issue with his work, and rejected honoring his warranty, suggesting I get a second opinion, confident that they would tell me the same. So I received a second opinion, and the gutter specialist showed me where the shingles near the gutter were split. He took a picture, and mentioned that the shingle damage seemed to have occurred recently. I sent the photo to Alex. He responded very rudely, including this statement at the end of his response: "That's ok, I will repair this shingle and even seal the holes from [the] old hangers tomorrow, just don't cry anymore." Having noticed his sever reluctance to honor his warranty, together with this rude behavior and my skepticism of his work product with the motive to up-sell his other services, I decided to break ties with Jet Renovations indefinitely, fearing Alex would cause more damage in order to continue his up-sell racketeering scheme. Unfortunately, I paid him with a check. If you do decide to hire Alex, don't make the same mistake and make sure to pay him with a Credit Card so that you can claim warranty from your Credit Card provider. read more

We had Jet Renovation replace a skylight and patch some weak spots on our roof a couple months ago, and we are really happy with the results. Alex came out to take a look at our roof initially and even took me up there to show me what he proposed to do. While many others were quick to suggest a full replacement, Alex talked through the costs and benefits of both and allowed us to make the call in the end. Their quote was priced competitively and they seemed to know roof repair, so we picked them. Work was all done within a few hours and all trash was hauled away. It has been a couple months now and we are very happy with the results. No leaks and the upstairs rooms were much cooler on hot days due to the coating they put on the roof. read more

I went with them because of price to have my roof, gutter and sidings done. What a mistake, it's going to court. We agreed on replacing the facial boards, on the contract and paid for. They covered up the old boards instead. Alex did not check on his worker. Unless the supervisor was with them, the workers don't understand English. Gutters were uneven, terrible. They came back to fix the leak 3 times, it still leaks. Roof is uneven. We had ridge vent installed. I checked the attic and debris on top of my new insulations. Quality workmanship is just terrible. They do received 5-stars from many reviewers, but most were small roof patching job. read more
