I've been flying every couple of months on JetBlue and I still really like them. Once on board you can control what you watch or listen to. I love using the app to book my flights, get my seat assignment and decide what level I want to pay for when it comes to my ticket. The staff is always very friendly, especially when you're on board. When you fly JetBlue you get free movies, free TV, free music, free Wi-Fi, a free nonalcoholic drink,and snack. .. They are serving alcohol again, and there is a charge and you must use a credit card whether you purchase food, drinks, earphones, blankets, pillows etc. You don't get all the riffraff like when you fly Spirit Airlines. Passengers are normally very quiet and they know how to handle their children so they're not unruly. I love that they board people very quickly and if there's no backup at Newark, you can get out immediately. Sometimes there's an occasional delay but that problem has to do with Newark Airport and not having enough Air Traffic Controllers and too many planes departing and arriving. Sometimes the pilot can make up time in the air. I also love that JetBlue is in the new terminal A and not terminal C, which is the international terminal and a pain in the neck to get in and out of. Now JetBlue and United have joined forces together. Hopefully for the better. Only time will tell.

The flight attendants are quite friendly, and accommodated specific requests. The overall flight was alright, despite quite a few of turbulences, and the departing and landing were very smooth. I would like to fly with JetBlue again.

Bonjour... First time flying out from Terminal A at Newark Liberty in a long time. Despite the fact having a reserved TSA check-in at 5am, my partner and I waited on the regular line only 20 minutes as we arrived earlier than expected. The agent had to move us to a new screening line closer to the gate as more passengers were arriving and the current at a stand still. However, there was another 10 minute wait until the rest of the TSA staff arrived to move the conveyor belt with our carry on. At 605am, there was only one concession (Abica Coffee) open with a long line serving hot coffee. Instead of waiting, we opted for some cold sandwiches from Hudson News. They were okay but the lettuce on my chicken salad was wilted. All over experience was good. Signing off to board the plane. Bonne journée à tous.

My only complaint is the Mint check in line was supplementing the check in for D.R. Travelers. There was a bit of a wait. B6 needs the new terminal at EWR; too many flights not enough gates and room. The Mint product they operate to LAX is very nice. If you gotta go to work, go in style!

Just checked in and Yohanne (Johanne?) greeted me upon entering the airport. Friendly and so helpful, she made the check-in process a breeze for me. She even helped me put on my luggage tag, which I never seem able to figure out. Thank you, Yohanne! The terminal is immaculately kept and the security line moved briskly. Much faster than LGA.

Would be 4.5 stars... I've used JetBlue multiple times for flights to and from Florida. Never had a significant problem with delays or rude flight attendants. I've always loved the free snacks and DirectTV that they give their passengers when flying. I just wish JetBlue creates flights where a transfer isn't required for flying out West (like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco). Flying out to Boston from Newark just to transfer is unacceptable. read more

JetBlue always gives snacks. I'm not sure any other airline does that anymore. And the snacks are good ones, not just pretzels. Popchips and fancy potato chips. I got pretzels. I asked for green tea but they only had black tea. I'm trying to lay off the coffee so I can take a nap. So far everything has been seamless. And they offer inflight wi-fi so I could get a bunch of work done before my nap. I'm extra tired today because of Daylight Savings Time. No one told me but my iPhone changes itself so I didn't miss my flight. Then I heard Florida is trying to opt out of Daylight Savings. It is pretty annoying, the whole thing. I can never change the time on my stove either, so half the year I never know what time is right. And now they are offering more snacks! This is worth not napping for. I think I'll ask for Cheese-It's next. read more

I use to love jet blue.. This trip boy did they disappoint. The flight was delayed coming and going over 45 mins. When traveling with a child under 2 thats a lifetime!! The seats and around the area was dirty. They dont have wifi on their planes. I was super upset. The only good thing they dont charge for the first bag, they have free snacks and tvs. Get your act together JETBLUE!!! read more

First flight out and we are delayed at least 3.5 hours for mechanical issues....can't they have the planes ready if your the first flight out....first they delayed it 30 minutes and then after waiting 30 minutes they delay it 3 hours....BAD read more

So they recommend that everyone wears a mask due to Covid... but they have no issue stacking the plane up to full capacity. When I checked online about the spaces available, I saw a PLETHORA of seating available and I was bamboozled when I was packed in like sardines. The stewardess we had was a complete dunce and didn't have a clue of what she was doing. I liked flying Jet blue. Not anymore. read more

Flew home this weekend for a relatively cheap ticket but for some reason was not allowed a carry on (just barely bigger than what they considered a "personal item"). The flight was basically empty. My bag could have sat in the empty seat next to me, but instead I had to pay $65 dollars extra at the gate to check it... In what world does that make sense. Never flying jet blue again read more

Excellent as always. Very attentive crew, helped us with pre-boarding for our special-needs 2 year old son. They made sure to ask a few times during the flight (to Florida) if we needed anything and offered their help. Highly recommended. Oh, and the price was good as well! read more

10 years ago, it was cheaper to fly Jet Blue from VT to NYC then to buy gas to drive. I loved Jet Blue. It would have been 5 stars every time. Their problem today? They never bothered to partner with any other airline. That, combined with moron meteorologists that thought the 1 inch of snow that fell was going to be 12, caused Jet Blue to cancel our flight a day in advance without picking up the tab to get us on another plane. Yes, the offered a refund and free transfer to another flight, but the next Jet Blue flight wasn't for 5 days. Sorry I couldn't just move to another city for a week, I actually needed to go home. So what was the final result? It cost me an extra 150$ to get home, but United saved the day. That's all she wrote for me and Jet Blue. read more

Missed my connection due to weather, but the woman at the counter stated if I called I could book with another airline to arrive at my destination (albeit 12 hours late). That was not the case and the people on the phone stated there would be a cancellation charge. So I have a an empty hotel room at my destination and will be 24 hours late. In addition, this is the filthiest terminal I have ever seen. The bathrooms are porta potties. I have a JetBlue card and thousands of miles. I was rudely told not to stand in the Mosaic line, whatever that is. So to recap, I lost hundreds on hotel rooms, hundreds in cab fares back and forth from EWR and 24 hours. read more

I love Jetblue but I hate the airline at the same time. Pros: 1. Free check-in for the first bag! Big score. Delta charges $25 for the first bag, and as I fly 20+ times per year, it adds up. 2. They have TVs for everyone, no matter how long or short the flight is. It makes my monthly trip between NYC and Miami seem a lot shorter! 3. They have free snacks (a good variety) and free drinks (non-alcholic drinks). 4. They have fairly cheap rates between some airports. Cons: They are ALWAYS delayed. I have OFTEN had something go wrong with my ticket. In April, I arrived at FLL expecting to board my flight, and was told that I "supposedly" got a phone call saying that my flight was dropped and I would be refunded the money. Apparently, they call to check that the credit card used online was indeed mine. When did they start doing that????? Anyway, it took them 6 weeks to refund my money, and because my flight was a few days before a major holiday, I had to wait a week to get a decent fare. I was not happy. read more

Not sure why the previous review is so grumpy. Jet blue is solid. There is legitimately more leg room, the seats have tv, and they give you decent snacks. I'm not sure what there is to complain about... Especially when you can fly from EWR to BOS for $100 round trip ($49 each way). I'm very content! read more

I am TrueBlue member and used to love JetBlue but they have really gone to shit along with their shitty flight attendants. This lady was so rude to me when telling me I had to pay for to sit in the exit row even though both aisles were empty. I honest sat there because I had two elderly ladies in my aisle and I had a window seat and figured I'd give them some space. read more

Nice planes and entertainment but the flights are constantly delayed. Either at terminal or at the gate sitting on the plane for an hour doesn't matter what way but it will be delayed. I try to avoid flying with them for this reason. read more

JFK and LGA are both much more convenient for me, but this go around the timing out of Newark worked best for. Nighttime flights and Pre-Check have their perks! I made it to EWR in 40 minutes from Brooklyn and was through security in 5 minutes. The waiting area outside of my gate was comfortable and had plenty of space for multiple people to charge various devices. The other benefit of flying later is that my flight had very few people on it and boarded in 15 minutes. I have never had anything but positive experiences flying JetBlue and it's my go to airline. Bon Voyage! read more

In reading some of the other yelp reviews I almost feel like I'm posting to the wrong listing. I flew FLL to LGA in October and FLL to Vegas over Thanksgiving and overall had a great experience with JetBlue. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the upgrade to the "more leg room" was well worth it--especially when traveling with children! Endless snacks and drinks as well as the individual TV screens are major plus. First checked bag free is fantastic (though I hear they are thinking of modifying that...? Strongly recommend against this as it is a differentiator from the other airlines where you feel less like a patron and more like cattle!) There are 2 reasons I'm not giving 5 stars (apart from JetBlue contemplating taking away the 1st free checked bag....): the curbside check in @ $2 a bag is unnecessary and frankly annoying. The curbside staff (@ FLL) do not represent the brand well and were not only unhelpful but also rude. The other thing that bothered me on the FLL to Vegas flight was that the in flight movies were not working. Trying to entertain 2 small children for 5 hours (I would've brought the iPads!!) when you think there will be movies you can upgrade to and plug them in is a huge selling point, but fell flat when it didn't function on this flight. Otherwise a happy experience and am likely to fly with them again the future. Wish they had a FLL to BOI flight!! Next trip in February isn't likely to be as enjoyable as we're stuck with American :( Ugh. read more

For those of you who had to cancel travel plans due to the pandemic and health concerns, consider yourselves fortunate if your airline refunded your money or at least extended the expiration of your travel deadline from one year to two or more. We are not among the lucky air travelers. My husband and I are both seniors (70 and 69 respectively) and have been advised by our doctors not to fly because of our previous health issues. Both of us are cancer survivors, and my husband also has heart disease and COPD. We had plans to travel to the Caribbean for my husband's 70th birthday. However, we contacted Jet Blue in August of 2020 after the U.S. State Department advised Americans not to travel to the Caribbean, asking for a refund and at worst an extension to use our credit on future trips as Jet Blue only granted us one year's time. We had been told by other senior friends that their airlines were very accommodating and refunded their money or provided a two-year extension. Since August, the pandemic has only worsened and very few people our age are willing to risk their lives and fly. I am retired and my husband works part-time. Seventeen hundred dollars is not a pittance for anyone in these dark times. We have requested reconsideration, but regardless of the result of our request, know Jet Blue will not be a carrier we readily do business with in the future. read more

Since I can't get a direct flight from LB to Newark, I had to do a stopover in Boston. All four flights were on time and pleasant. Please, please, please (to quote Brother James), Jet Blue, provide some direct flight service from Long Beach to Newark, as JFK and the Port Authority are a bad joke. read more

Once again this airline fails to deliver any on time performance. I flew it in April and my flight was delayed 5 hours because the plane from Ft Lauderdale needed a part. Today, my flight is delayed at least 3 to 4 hours because of a part. What is going on with this airline. I hate flying to begin with and these experiences makes me hate it more. Especially this airline. Twice I have flown Jet Blue in 5 months and both times delays of 4 to 5 hours. I hate having to spend all this time waiting at the airport which tries to suck you dry with their outrageous prices for food while their quality sucks. Newark airport. read more

Why does Jetblue airlines have so many problems staying on time? I flew 6 times in 3 months and ever flight had more than 2 plus hour delays. They do a lot of things right but of all the things to get wrong, getting people to their destination on time should be the number one priority. I get weather and safety delays but if every other plane this airlines uses has safety delays it must be time for new planes. Get with the program JetBlue. read more

I have been flying only jetblue for 6 years now and have never experience a jetblue staff like this. I called in advance to report my service animal and then was hassled before boarding AT THE GATE about my service animal's papers. So disappointing to see an ill-trained staff with Jetblue on their name plates. Unacceptable. read more

TERRIBLE!! If I can give it 0 stars I would. Booked a flight from Newark, NJ to Tampa, FL. $250 per person and they CANCEL THE DAY OF! On top of this the only offer they gave us was a flight for the next day that is DOUBLE the price we already payed, yet they cancelled on us. Complete BS... For 5 people we would be paying over $1,000 MORE because they decided to cancel last minute... They won't even give us our money back if we decide to not do the flight that's double the price we already payed. So pathetic.. I recommend United Airlines, we always fly with them but decided to try Jet Blue to save some bucks, what a mistake. read more

JetBlue was extremely disorganized and unprepared for the delays that came with Hurricane Grace. We were able to make it from Mexico to Newark with minor delay. Our connecting flight to Boston was pushed back several times but still showing on time at the gate. Our departure time came and went and no updates were provided. Our gate was also moved 3 times. An hour after our departure time we were finally able to board only to have our pilots announce they were over their allotted flying hours and proceed to exit the plane leaving the flight attendants to explain. Needless to say they they removed us from the plane at 12:02 AM ,rebooked us for a 7:00 AM flight, promised us a Lyft and hotel for the night. It is 2:30 AM and we still sit in the airport because the manager named Rosie never came to make our accommodations after repeatedly being called. As an able bodied person I can be somewhat upset about this but what is unacceptable is that a disabled person spent the night in an airport wheelchair, which is considerably smaller than a standard wheelchair. Additionally we will have to pick up our luggage, check it back in and go back through security. JetBlue failed us in so many ways without any attempt to make things right. My advice, pay the extra money for better service because this was not worth it. read more

Jet blue cancelled our flight for no reason. Then when we needed to make accommodations to get to another JetBlue flight we asked if there was any way of reimbursement and they said probably not. It isn't guaranteed. So then we spent $220 and 1.5 hours traveling from Newark to West Chester, New York. Where our flight would then get delayed another 5 hours. But luckily one lady Staci, was nice enough to help us and we flew to west palm beach 1.5 hours away from Fort. Lauderdale, which was 30 minutes away from where we stayed. Also I tweeted my frustrations with JetBlue and tey replied with ":)". I was absolutely fed up. I used more money on traveling than I got to use on my actual vacation. All we asked for a reimbursement to get to New York, but apparently that's too much. read more

Without a doubt the most incompetent crew I've ever encountered. I was on my senior trip to Disney, and obviously I'm very excited. Our group gets there at around 5 am for a 7:50 departure. The line to check in our bags is quite long. But I sat in this line for a little under an hour. I end up rushing to security, get there just in time to board...or so I thought. Because of their short staff and total incompetence on the part of those who were working the check in, we were delayed 40 minutes. Absolutely inexcusable...but it gets worse. We board the plane at about 8:40, and then are told that the planes computers and systems are not working. Excuse me? You had all this time to get it ready even through a delay, and now this? This caused us a whole hour delay, to add onto the 40 minute one, so you can imagine my anger when we were told the tug that was used the push back the airplane was not working. This gave us another 30 minutes of delay time to make it a whole 2 hours of delay. We were supposed to land at 10:45. We were then informed after finally getting moving, that we were 7th in line to take off...like seriously. This was all caused by your incompetence that started from the second I walked into the airport. This isn't Newark's fault, it's all on the airliner that couldn't get their act together. Disappointed and disgusted. There was a second group of students on our trip that flew outta Philly, and were supposed to take off an hour after us...and now they will get there right as we take off. Never going with JetBlue ever again, and a friend of mine told me that this specific plane has actually had problems before. I'm writing this before I take off...so let's see how this one goes. Smh. Oh yea and I was also moved to a different seat 3 times...yup that's just fitting. read more

I've been in Newark International Airport 4 hours before my flight boards. I asked several time to obtain a seat assignment as I wanted a window seat. Everyone said to wait until I got to the gate. I asked at the gate for a seat assignment. The gate crew said to wait until an hour before my flight. I was afraid I wouldn't get the window seat. I walked up to the gate crew an hour and a half as my name appeared on the list on the screen. Both of the gate crew women very rudely asked me to be seated until they called my name. I let them know that my name was on the list behind them and they both shouted at me. I said that I really wanted a window seat, I just got shouted at again. I walked away and when they did call my name, there were of course no more window seats. I will never fly JetBlue again. Ever. The rude behavior and actual shouting from the gate crew was unconscionable and far from the anything remotely resembling service. read more

From Tampa to Newark... I loved the attendants and the customer service, but I give JetBlue this rating because of the issues we had with our seats. We had reserved our seats during checkout and when we checked- in for the flight we had to pick our seats again. We chose seats that were right across from the previous one but that isn't what the issue was. We called to confirm that it worked and they told us they didn't have seats for us. They said that to sit together we would have to pay 40 extra dollars to get to sit together and that was the only option. We called back and they was able to resolve our problem and give us seats together (the ones we chose during check-in) but it was something they had to check into and change a few things. I liked the flight just not the hassle. LEG ROOM WAS AMAZING. I'm 6'2 read more

This is the worst post flight experience I've ever had. After exiting the aircraft to retrieve my gate checked items at the gate my son's booster seat is nowhere to be found. I am then told that my items will be at the carousel, after waiting for everyone who was on my flight to retrieve their luggage and the following 2 flights I'm told a supervisor will personally go check for my son's booster seat. This is after a hour and a half of waiting and still no booster seat. With this kind of service I can't forsee myself ever flying jetblue again. After my nearly 2 hour wait my booster seat finally came up the carousel. And to add insult to injury I was traveling alone with my 1 year old and I had to pee 15 minutes into this ordeal. Never again. read more

Jetblue is our, "go to" airline for short trips in the continental US. The seats have plenty of leg room for a tall, broad guy like me. I don't mind spending the extra $25 for an, "Even More Space" seat either. It usually includes expedited lines and boarding so that's always a plus. The flight crews are always very friendly and helpful too. You accumulate Jetblue Miles as well when you fly that can be used for airfare. My last flight to Florida was covered completely by my points and didn't cost me a cent. Just $25 for an, "Even More Space" seat. Great deal. :) read more

This caused our 3 hour layover to our connecting flight to become a 30 minute layover. It was absolutely ridiculous...how are we supposed to go through immigration, grab our checked luggage, and recheck it in. All to take a train and then bus back to the front of the airport. To go through airport security all over again. Mind you we had to run to our gate since it was the last gate of course. This was just a crazy experience to go through. There should be more organization for individuals who are trying to get to a connecting flight. Maybe another line that specifically says connecting flight, in order for the process to be sped up. All of that to get to our gate and find out that boarding was delayed.... Once we got to FLL airport, we went to get our checked luggage to find out that my friend's duffle bag was as still in Newark. Mind you her bag was the first to be placed to get checked back in. Luckily they shipped it the next day to her house. But she should've received her bag right after deplaning just like the rest of us. I'm disappointed but relieved that my friend received her duffle bag in one piece.

The dinner was a spicy rice (ok if you like spicy) with what looked like chicken. Lufthansa does a much better job with meals comparatively. For breakfast we received an egg on English muffin. Only 4 bathrooms for such a huge plane is definitely not good... they said they would clean them throughout the flight, but every time I used it, it was a mess... disappointing for sure. Overall the expensive price for comfort + wasnt worth it at all.

We showed up early since the gov shutdown and issues with the air traffic controllers... so does that mean the check-in section can be even more lazy and who's up when they want? What really bothered me was seeing a Spanish-speaking passenger struggle because he didn't speak much English, and the staff showed little patience or professionalism. It honestly came across as dismissive and discriminatory instead of helpful. To make matters worse, the flight attendants were not pleasant either and carried attitude throughout the flight. I'm currently connecting in Dallas and hoping the next flight experience is completely different because so far this has been unacceptable customer service. Do better, American Airlines. Side note I wish I could give zero stars.

We purchased the seats three rows back from the entrance door where the middle seat can't be purchased so we could have all three seats to ourselves months in advance and got a great deal. The seats were pretty comfy and there was a lot of legroom compared to economy. The service was great and the pilots did a great job too. I was supposed to fly Santa Ana Denver NYC (LGA) But my flight was delayed until I missed the connection again. So they rerouted me to Santa Ana Denver Atlanta NYC That's 3 flights with 22-hour overnight layover, just to reach the same coast. I couldn't believe No hotel. No help. No luggage. I had to: - Buy clothes - Spend on food - Pay $50+ for transport - Use 35,000 Marriott points for hotel And this happened across almost every flight I took -- delay after delay. The next day, I went to the Frontier counter at DEN to print my boarding pass and sort things out. To my shock -- I saw that a direct flight from Denver to NYC was available. I had asked for that exact flight the night before. The agent told me: "Unavailable." I begged for help. I was exhausted. The only answer I got was: "No. It's airline policy." They offered that same direct flight... for $400 more -- on top of the $495 I already paid. When I finally got to NYC, they told me to pick up my bag at LGA. At midnight I went. No staff. Just silence. Now I have to return to the airport again tomorrow, just to pick up a luggage that should've arrived with me. This isn't "low-cost" travel. This time around I flew Delta and for me I'm grateful everything went smoothly even with such a short distance Gainsville to Jersey with one layover sometimes this can be frustrating but all is well and they know what they are doing. You are not going to get any personal attention like you do at the smaller airports. Newark is large and always very crowded I actually prefer Atlanta but I never spend much time in either thankfully. On my return home at Newark my flight again was on time and everything at the airport went ok. It's always a lot of chaos and I noticed that there was a lot going on from a major multi year construction as part of a massive regional modernization framework being done. All of this has made moving around a little bit more challenging in certain areas of the airport. Some of the active projects include a 3.5 billion replacement of the AirTrain system and initial upgrades for a 200 million dollar overhaul of terminal B and ongoing airfield and radar enhancements. This definitely made it a little more difficult for me as well to navigate through where I needed to go. Still grateful that Newark is only 20 minutes from my son and daughter in laws. I can comfortably say that my familiarity with luxury grade airline service is better than most. SQ did NOT disappoint. I was flown business class for work. The pods have been the same model for some years now but it doesn't look all that dated. The flight attendants were highly attentive, with proper etiquette and solid postures that all smelt of elegance. The food was good too- par with more airlines' first class actually. There's free Wi-Fi for first and business classes but you can only have it on one device at a time. The seats completely flatten into a bed, making the 19 hour flight to Singapore from New York a bit more bearable. I'm also 5'1 so the length was good for me. The Virgin Lounge for SQ is located on the upper floor if you're going from Newark by the way. Make sure you grab the QR code and order early bc they take a while to make food. All in all, a very pleasant experience for a pretty dreadfully long flight.
