Well, since I'm the duchess (at least for now) and all that, I figured a review wouldn't be a terrible thing to offer up. What can I say? It's a Jewel, centrally located to my home. It's rather pricey (aren't all Jewels, though?) and rather run of the mill. They've beefed up their "natural foods" section over the past few years, so that's a nice element, but overall...it's a Jewel. Service is very hit or miss; some employees seem to love their jobs while others are clearly ticking away the minutes until "go time" in their heads. The store is always very clean--including the bathrooms (and with three small children, that's a DEFINITE plus). Not a bad place to shop in a pinch, but I'd rather hit up Trader Joe's if possible. read more

I go to this pharmacy monthly to pick up my prescriptions. Everytime I approach the counter when it's NOT busy, I usually have to wait at least 5 to 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge me because the staff is too busy talking about taco salads and watching movies. When I say "excuse me" to get their attention, I get an attitude back by getting my meds slammed on the counter or no eye contact during the transaction. I wouldn't have chosen this location if it wasn't 5 minutes away from my house. Definitely a thumbs down. read more

If zero was possible, they would get it. Tried their delivery service for the first time. Utter disaster. Was supposed to be delivered between 3-4pm. Delivery arrives at 6pm. They didn't even call and say they were going to be late. Items were missing and they gave us several varieties of apples when we just wanted one and the the blueberries were moldy. Called the number that was listed on the order which it said to call if there was an issue. Talked to "Greg" who was supposedly the store manager. He was rude and unhelpful as could be and asked why I was calling the store as he was not the one that delivered the food. I was calling the store because THAT IS WHAT THE SHEET SAID TO DO. Utterly unhelpful. Unfortunately they not only lost someone who would never use the delivery service again, but also a long time customer in the store. read more

Split review here too. For the most part, its a decent Jewel. Service is great, the staff is friendly, I'm in and out fairly quickly. But the prices are ridiculous. And half the time they don't have something I'm looking for, or regularly get. More chicken breasts! Almost every time I go I have to choose between tenderloins and thin breasts. Who doesn't want more breasts? ;) I just think they need to stock their shelves better. read more

You know what's just groovy about this Jewel? The people who occupy it. You know what's NOT so great about Jewel? The damn prices. Good God. I have such a split view, it's not even funny. What can I say, they have all those yummy, delicious, fattening, products that Trader Joes doesn't have. When I go there and see the prices, I then remember why I shop at Trader Joes in the first place. I happen to have a riveting experience almost every time I am in the walls of this particular Jewel. There is even another employee named Tessa, which we make a big deal about each time we are within the same vicinity of one another. I tend to have marvelous chats with people in the checkout line or while waiting for my meat to be sliced at the deli counter. I'm telling you, this Jewel brings in good people. I think the produce has always been good, but just very expensive. I can't even believe how much certain items are sometimes, but like I said, they have certain items that others simply don't carry. This Jewel is clean as ever, too. You will likely be pleased with your visit, just not with your bill. read more

The employees at this location are the MOST helpful that I've encountered at any grocery chain. Super friendly, never bothered with all of us shoppers approaching them with our questions. Loved the Wish Big/Win Big game. Their liquor department has great prices for a grocery store. And the fact that it is walking distance from my home doesn't hurt. Wish is was a 24 hour Jewel though, I'm a night owl. read more

I have been going to this jewel for 17 years. The store is always clean. The prices are higher on most items. They always have long lines. I used to see the same women working as cashiers. I don't know many of the people now. I am sad to say that customer service is not good. The deli wait is terrible. The girls this week seemed like they hate there jobs. I had a person taking pictures of the frozen food item step right in front of me like I was invisible. Every time I ask for help the staff looks annoyed. There is one man in the frozen foods section that has been there forever. He is always nice and always says hello. The bakery ladies are great too. The produce department has an unfriendly staff. After all the years going you notice things. I would like people to be friendly. At least say hello to your customers read more

I have gone to this Jewel 5 times since I moved to the area. I had frozen meals (15) and the bagger Thomas threw a few regular products in each freezer item bag with 5 frozen meals . I threw bags in freezer and a week later find 3 items that were ruined. I saw Thomas the next Sunday and he wised off to me, told me I was lying and basically told me to F off. All I asked was he only keep frozen item together by themselves.. His buddy the manager just laughed and shrugged his shoulders with a grin.. I will only go there for 1 or 2 items from now on, they lost a family of 5's business. I would rather drive 3 miles if I really really need a sale item..I get along with everyone except this Thomas Jerk...lol on him and Jewel. read more

Slowest Chefs. Kitchen EVER !!!! Don't go there unless you like to wait! And the store is dingy and dark! Needs remodeled Desperately! Oh and don't forget about the parking lot, most of the lights are burnt out! Very dark, be careful at night around there don't shop alone if you are a woman. i've grown up with jewel and it was my favorite store ...until i came to this jewel where almost everyone is very rude. i was shopping with my friend getting stuff for a birthday early in the morning (around 8) when i come to the register,my friend and i wanted to spilt the pay so we tell her when we first come up. we are discussing how much we're each going to pay when i was interrupted by the lady at the register who says "you don't pay yet i didn't even scan anything yet so you need to wait then i'll give you the total just hang on" then rolls her eyes at me!!! i tell her we're just discussing how much we're paying ,and then we pay and then leave. terrible read more

Pharmacy is the worst ever. The Pharmacist who is there in the evenings has been nothing but rude to me every time I have had a question. Started out with great people, and not any longer. Definitely sending my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. read more

I enjoy the grocery store but the pharmacy gets a zero star. 5 years getting the same script monthly from various pharmacys between 2 different states and this is by FAR the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. If u are looking to pick up your scripts the same day GO ELSEWHERE. It is the slowest pharmacy on the planet. Every single time I've come over waited over an hour and up to nearly 2 hours...and I'm the only person waiting here for at least a full hour. I don't care how many scripts u have in your system; when a customer is the only person standing here for over an hour get your stuff together and use logic and take the 2 minutes to get them out the store, you know since Were standing here in front of you waiting. I'm not the only person w this complaint. My grandparents, parents, siblings, and my husband and I all live here over the last 44 years, long before this pharmacy was even here and no one I know uses this pharmacy due to how slow it is. TRUST me do yourself a favor and go anywhere besides here to fill your scripts. read more
