If I could give Jewell's 10 stars I would. I delayed almost a year in posting this review, so finally I am doing it. It is evident Jewell's cares much more about the quality of service than the financial gain. Clearly they know how important it is for the customer to have a positive experience and they know this leads to the value of word of mouth. An outstanding family owned business!!!! I know companies don't get much when they do warranty work, so finding a septic company willing to work withour difficult home warranty company took a few months. Margie went above and beyond in helping us work with our home warranty company to get our septic pumped. The owner (I'm ashamed at this point I don't recall his name since I waited so long to leave a review) gave us a lot of information on septic tank care, things to watch out for, and prevented what could have been an expensive dig out our driveway situation with a blockage. We will continue recommending Jewell's and having them service our septic. read more

I can not say enough good things about Jewell's Pumping and Septic Service!! I have used them to repair two septic systems for me! Their customer service is outstanding! They make you feel part of the family! They do very good work! They saved us around $20,000 dollars between the two systems. They can rehabitilate an existing septic system rather installing a complete new system! They left the job site just as they found it and very clean! They had to remove fencing and they put it all back up for us! Their pumping service is great as well! Called them after my septic tank was backing up into the lowest sink in the garage. Even though they were booked for the next couple of weeks, they made time to come and pump my tank the same day that I called. I called the day before because our septic tank was full and the receptionist was friendly and accommodating. The next day Ken called when he was 10 minutes away and was very polite and knowledgeable. After emptying my tank, he showed me some areas that might need to be worked on in the future, but he was not pushy whatsoever. I just received a call back at the end of the day. The owner, Ken, apologized and said he's has been out with the flu so I guess we got to give him a pass. I just received a same day cancellation call for a job I scheduled a week ago. I appreciate the fact that their employee suffered an injury, but if you are going to run a business, have a back up plan! I can usually be flexible, but we are having a new lawn installed over the septic tank this week, and the job needed to be completed today. If you are on a time sensitive schedule do not go with this company, as they apparently are a small outfit with few employees. Otherwise I can't comment on the quality of their work. read more

I found this company by searching for Septic Services specifically for Monterey county and came up with Jewell's Septic which also goes by H-N-G Construction. They are AMAZING.. if I could give them more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. After listening to our septic issues, Ken came over on a break from another job and we talked over options. Since we were in escrow to sell the property we needed work done quickly and even though they were very busy he made time to help us. Ken did "exploratory" work allowing us to take a more conservative and cost effective approach vs "just ripping everything out and putting in new as other companies suggested (to the tune of $18,000). Ken and his son and crew were courteous, clean, KNOWLEDGEABLE, helpful, reliable and HONEST. We recently bought another property with septic system and if we ever need work done, I will ONLY use Ken and his company. You can't go wrong with this small, family owned company!! read more

They were very easy to talk to and very informative, providing me suggestions to keep my system working properly, and an understanding of how a septic system works.
