This guy has neither the tools nor the expertise to be entrusted with other people's fine jewelery. This afternoon I brought in a 14K gold chain to be shortened (a straightforward procedure, or so I thought), and he mangled the catch - it was sloppily soldered and visibly lopsided. He was indignant when I pointed it out ("Oh, so you want it PERFECT?" Well, yeah - seeing as it was perfect when I brought it in!) and asked if I could leave it with him for a bit. It looked more symmetrical when I picked it up later; but when I inspected it under my loupe this evening at home, I saw that he'd actually attached a DIFFERENT catch! In other words, replaced it without even informing me, from which I can only deduce that he'd further damaged the original catch beyond repair. He even had the gall to charge $35 for this hack job; but I will be back for a little chat with him. read more

Not only are they wicked nice, they are FAST. Some may view quickness as a sign of poor workmanship & avoid a kiosk for jewelry repair. If that's you- you're doing yourself a disservice. Their work is impeccable! I can't say it enough! These folks are AWESOME! They ARE FAST. They handle each item gently, appropriately, all without sacrificing the quality of the service needed. I HAVE NEVER BEEN DISSATISFIED with anything I've needed them for, that I will continue to bring to them now & in the future. They are my absolute go-to. I took my elderly mother to get links taken out of her watch. Lady was sarcastic and abrasive. Didn't take out enough links, so the watch is still a bit too big. I felt that, if I had suggested she fix it, she would have continued with her unprofessional attitude and to avoid confrontation, we left and will have the watch done by a real jeweler. I have used this kiosk for new watch batteries and had no problems with man that used to work there. Definitely not going back. read more

Went to get an anklet fixed. Was told by the women there that it NEEDED to be lazered Not SOLDERED. Got a call a hour later it was "fixed" by the jeweler who ended up soldering it and was going to charge us $45 for a damaged anklet that looked worse then it did before. When we went to pick it up he told us "it doesn't look good" He would not give us his name or business policy for damaging items. Found out he is the owner. read more

Habib is awesome! I just used him to size my wife's platinum ring. He did it while we shopped and it fit her perfectly. No marks and boy does it shine. I have been to kiosks similar to this one but his work was much better! He honored the price he told us and seemed like a very nice and honest guy. I went in for a new battery and the gentleman said I needed a complete 'overhaul' as he proceeded to spray cleaner into my watch. I told him no thank you and went about my business. 5 hours later, I look at my watch and I have free floating liquid cleaner inside my crystal. I called Tag Heuer and they recommend that I send it in to them for repairs costing $200+. I went back to the gentleman who runs the kiosk and video'd the entire conversation where he admits everything yet tells me he will not pay for the damages that were caused by him. He told me to try and take him to court. I would NOT recommend taking anything to this fraud and phony. He is a liar. SCAM!!! read more

Brought a brand new ring to this guy's tiny mall shop to simply ask about resizing. Upon hearing that it is possible to use an insert, I asked what that would look like. The guy then proceeded to attach a crappy piece of metal to the ring, which of course had to be removed, leaving deep scratches in the ring. I don't care how long he has been working in the industry. He should be stopped before he ruins other pieces of fine jewelry. read more

This was an awful experience. My boyfriend said he did not trust this guy right away and I should have listened but I wanted to wear the ring he had gotten me for my birthday right away. This guy sized my finger and said he would charge me five dollars less than Zales (where we got the ring) so I let him do the job. Simple re-sizing, my ring came out looking terrible!!!!! The ring was way to small and when he saw that it wasnt going on easily, Instead of admitting his mistake and fixing it, he told me to just spray my hand with windex and it would slip on and off!!! Windex??? Guy is a joke, meanwhile the skin has peeled off my knuckle from taking ring on and off!!! As if that should be the worst part, it wasnt the only problem!!!! The ring is now a dingy copperish/silver color when it started off in 10k solid white gold! Then he told me he has to dip it in gold to fix that and that it would be an extra 20 dollars!!!!
