I don't miss the ring. it puts a sort of smirk on my face, thinking about Jewelry and how people think it's a good investment, when in fact you will never get even close to the spot price on any piece. Chances are you'll lose your platinum band at the beach, or whatever. you'd be better off to buy a gold nugget on eBay than what you think is valuable. this place is a step up from the lead and cadmium gold clad jewelry of Zales at the mall, that's why you get one star, out of 5.

My lovely lady is very particular in what she likes, and typically gravitates towards "the finer things in life". She was simply looking online for settings that she liked and fell in love with a Michael M setting that just happened to be at Day's. I am from Ma, so the prospect of purchasing the ring in NH and avoiding the tax man was certainly an added bonus. Shortly after I secretly made my way up to NH to check out the setting that my lady picked out. Just as I expected it was beautiful (also one of the most expensive setting in the store), so I began early discussions with the salesman George. George was very helpful, and did not push me in the slightest. I told George that I would need a few days to think about making this large purchase, and that he could call me in a couple days. George called a few day later and we made an appointment for me to come in and check out a center stone. On my second visit George pulled out a few 1 ct. (the setting was made for a 1 ct center stone) and they were all beautiful, but I knew I would have to go a bit larger. That is when the quality of Day's stood out! George came out with a stunning 1.54 ct Biro88 diamond and I immediately felt the need to put my sunglasses on. As a lady in the store said when she walked past us at the counter "that diamond is spitting fire right now"! Boom! Sold! Now it was a matter of talking price. I went into the process with a fair budget in mind, but after going through the process, I quickly realized that my preset budget was not realistic for the setting and center stone I had picked out. I told George that $20K would probably not be doable, but that I really wanted that ring! George called the manager over (Joe) and asked him if he could do anything for me in terms of the price. Obviously I knew they wouldn't be able to know $5K off the price, but let's just say they worked with me enough to where I felt comfortable. We completed the transaction that day. Since the setting I picked out was made for a smaller center stone; the setting, and center stone needed to be sent out to Michael M in California to have a custom setting made around the stone. Joe explained to me that the process would take approx. 3 weeks to complete the ring. In that 3 week period I found myself questioning my purchase so I began pestering Joe with questions/concerns. To Joe's credit he handled all of my concerns/questions with the utmost respect, and professionalism. He was able to calm my nerves and assure me that I had purchased an amazing ring. Three weeks later (the exact day they estimated the ring to be completed) I picked up the ring, and it is AMAZING! I proposed that night, and when I say that she is in love with this ring, that is only because I can not find the words to properly describe her joy with the ring. She literally gets compliments on this ring every single day! Throughout this process I became extremely frustrated with everyone and their brother telling me "you need to go to my guy, he is the best, and he will give you a great price". Needless to say, I am happy to say that I now have "a guy", and Day's jewelers will be getting my business going forward. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that asks. They do everything in their power to keep their customers happy.

Recently we had occasion to visit Pearson's to attempt to get a repair on a twenty-five year old…read morewatch that had been broken at a mall kiosk while the technician there was trying to change the battery. The salesman honestly discouraged us from getting a repair, and made an attractive offer on a new watch, however my wife felt the watch was precious to her and sought to have it repaired. After a couple of weeks, the store manager contacted her to tell her their jeweler had told him the watch wasn't worth repairing. She asked him to try again. He sent it to another jeweler, who told him he couldn't get parts for it. Although she is disappointed with the verdict of the jewelers who worked on her watch, we are both convinced that Pearson's gave her request serious effort and she is now satisfied that she cannot have a precious gift repaired. While she's sad, she is satisfied that every effort was made. We can't ask for more. The watches and jewelry in this shop were high quality fine work. We'd recommend them for the quality of their merchandise and their low pressure approach to customers and conscientious service.
