We had two trucks and 6 guys that came to move our household. They did a real good job as far as getting the furniture down the stairs and packing it in the truck. The reason for two stars: they gashed the base boards and walls. They broke one of my plantation blinds then had the nerve to close it so I wouldn't see it. Moving is SO STRESSFUL, finding a trustworthy mover is 1/2 the battle. I have to tell you that JFK MOVERS is who you want. I'm not easy giving out my 5 stars, you can see I write a lot of reviews. I'm actually behind writing quite a few. I just couldn't be behind with JFK. It was SO EASY, getting a honest quote, I spoke with Kassandra from the beginning, she put me at ease, I gave her the dates that I needed them, it was a Sunday, this past Fathers Day, I felt horrible bothering them on A. On a weekend B. On a holiday. I booked their services with a small deposit. They said they'd be there/here between 8-9 am, they showed up at 8:15, they were so professional, they wrapped what we didn't have boxed ( lamps, mirrors, bed sets etc..) even some boxes that I didn't seal up. Basically I'm saying, if your moving and you need movers, look no further, if I could give more than 5 stars I would, the company, the movers, the office staff, everyone is AMAZING!! Do not use this moving company. We had used them to move from our home that was already mostly moved to a smaller house. We had originally asked for 3 movers on Saturday March 7 because we know we have heavy, expensive, and good quality furniture. Hence, why we hired a company to move the remaining important stuff. They showed up almost 3 hours late and with only two movers instead of three because they would've been even more late to go pick up a third person. They scuffed and dinged a lot of our furniture. And also made scratches and dents in our newly painted house. The worst part of all was we asked them to hookup our washer and dryer at the new house. At the end of the night, they were duct taping the dryer together and did not mention what went wrong until my fiancé asked. Our new house would've blown up if we had not gotten the truth from them. We couldn't use our washer and dryer until we paid for a professional to fix it. They next day when we went to finish moving the rest of the items from our old house. The movers did not close off the washer valve and the upstairs laundry room had leaked all the way downstairs to the first floor. Our house was to close escrow that week!! We had to call an emergency plumber to fix it on a Sunday. Very expensive!!! They are not good movers. They hired 2 young gentlemen to do the move. The guys they sent said they had only been working a few months and had not been doing this a long time. Please don't trust this company to help you move. They do not care about your hard earned possessions. It will only cost you more money in the long run, fixing things that are messed up if you use this company. In addition, this is over a month later of back and forth. They are now making threats to my fiancé, instead of making things right. We haven't ever hired movers, but I knew with the big upcoming move, a professional moving company would be key to a swift move. I was first in contact with Jack via Yelp who was extremely responsive upon my request for a quote (within 30 minutes) and gave me a very honest breakdown of all expected fees and charges for my particular move. The price was very reasonable for the labor I knew the movers were going to endure and on top of that the communication, professionalism, friendly approach and efficiency throughout the process is unlike any other! The scheduler was super friendly and accommodated my every request and explained all the specifics which matched exactly what Jack first quoted me. Our escrow ended up being delayed and I reached out to customer service in a panic and they assured me they would do everything they could to accommodate the time and day change--and they did! They were so graceful with the chaos of closing escrow and allowed me give them relatively short notice and confirmation. Loic called me the day of the move and let me know the four movers would be arriving within the hour. They were on-time (actually arrived earlier than I did) and ready to work! Loic, Francisco, Andrew and Mark are the dream team, in all honesty! I was so impressed by their efficiency, fast-pace yet careful attention to details, and very meticulous packing of all belongings in the 26 foot truck. Not one item was damaged or broken, and they carefully wrapped and unwrapped every piece of furniture. The four men worked for nearly 8 hours moving very heavy equipment and things and only took a 30 minute break the entire time. I mean, they were all sweating and still busting their butts! We fed them dinner as they took a break as we were so appreciative of their hard work! These guys were awesome! They arrived a little early and worked very efficiently , took care with our belongings , played Tetris well in our storage unit and we will be using them again when our house is ready in the near future. Hiring movers is the best choice you can make especially when you're two girls living in an apartment on the third with no elevator! Luis, Alex, and Beck were amazing! They were so fast and took the time to properly wrap everything for us. They even provided wardrobe boxes that we were able to use and return back to them after we were done. They were all very patient with us. One of our head boards wasn't going to fit going down the stairs into the new room and Luis took the time to take it apart and put it back together it in the new room so that was nice because we thought we were going to have to buy a new bed. So I wanted to give it a few days before I wrote my review so I didn't write purely out of emotion. Scheduling was easy enough. They were prompt with the quote and scheduling. On scheduling I said I would need 10 wardrobe boxes. They said that wouldn't be a problem. They confirmed 2 days prior. At time I confirmed that they were bring me the 10 wardrobe boxes. This isn't my first move with movers. I know how many boxes I need. Moving day.... they are scheduled to show up between 8-830. They do show up on time.....to the WRONG house. I have to walk down the street to tell them that they are at the wrong house. We get to the moving part. I explain what is going... mostly furniture as big stuff. They say they want boxes first. Ok. They bring in the wardrobe boxes and I proceed to fill them with clothes. Not without comments from the movers as to how much clothing there is. They use some of the boxes I requested to fill with couch cushions, leaving me short on boxes. While I pack wardrobe boxes they start wrapping everything. Literally EVERYTHING in plastic wrap. Even stuff I didn't ask them to move... wrapped in plastic. I have attached a photo of my wedding dress that they crumpled and wrapped in plastic. With furniture, they wrapped it all in plastic, then cover with blankets and then wrapped in more plastic and tape. I am all for protecting my things but I kid you not I watched a guy wrap one end table for 30+ mins. I would be one thing if they wrapped quickly but that wasn't the case. Only one of the 3 guys seemed to know how to wrap quickly and efficiently. When you are paying by the hour every minute counts and these guys didn't seem to care about this fact a The moving of the actual furniture...once all wrapped and wrapped some more meant turning my furniture end over end. I had boxes and furniture left upside down. In the new house. The bickering between the movers was pretty interesting to watch but not very conducive to quick moving or working together. Capp to the day was the mover coming in to get payment and signature...reeking of marijuana. Over all was the job done? Yes. Was it done as well or efficiently as it could have been? Probably not. * update*. After posting this I was contacted by Josh who identified himself as one of the owners. He offered to have my wedding dress dry cleaned and pressed. I declined that offer as it was more the principle that they treated my things so poorly. He admitted that he sent an unseasoned crew to my house, with one of the guys being very new. They did refund me my $50 deposit which is right around 5% of the total that I paid them. Josh did in a round about way prompt me to edit this review as "we rely heavily on reviews" and called again last week to make sure I got my deposit back, and to seemly again ask me to edit the review. I did tell him that I am still pretty frustrated. As I continue to unpack after the holiday I am still finding random things shoved into drawers that I know both I and my husband didn't do as well as boxes that were left upside down. I do appreciate them reaching out to try to remedy the situation but I am still left with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

My husband and I are soon-to-be first time homeowners. We're in escrow and scheduled to close today. I contacted JFK Moving LLC based on all the great reviews. I also contacted another moving company just for comparison. Response time for a quote was quick and detailed. Rates and details as to what was included were clearly laid out. JFK Moving LLC has far better rates in comparison to the other company I contacted. I called to schedule a moving date and time. I was informed to provide a $50 deposit to reserve my appointment. After submitting my deposit, I received confirmation and I was in communication with John to finalize details for our move. There were some delays to closing so I had to move our 12:00pm scheduled moving time to 3:00pm. Come 2:00pm and unfortunately escrow delays had not yet been resolved. I contacted John to cancel and reschedule. Throughout this stressful process John was really understanding and that helped so much during this stressful time. If the website is an error then fix it, if you offer moving donations to all houses of worship then state it on the website. If your company values diversity of religion then the website should be updated to read that the 3hour move for houses of worship applies to ALL religious houses. If you don't want to do this, fine, you're not obligated to move anyone for free, but if that's the case then you should remove the entire donation part out of your website. If I could give this company negative stars I would. I used this company last December when my husband and I sold our home. They moved all our furniture and TVs into a storage unit where the furniture and TVs went u touched for a whole year until we bought our new home. We hired this company again to move our items out of storage and into our new home since we already had an established relationship with the company. We had our items moved in and our TVs were left in the exact spots the movers left them in until we could get a professional person to mount our TVs. Keep in mind these TVs were brand new bought less than a month before we sold our home. When we mounted our 85 inch tv after we unwrapped the plastic and plugged it in is when we noticed the tv was damaged. We immediately contacted the company submitted pictures and filled out whatever form they have u fill out to initiate a claim. I was told since it was New Year's Eve someone would get back to me the following business day. Totally understandable I never heard from them my husband had to call today to get a status. They state they aren't responsible because they speculate it was broken when mounting. Totally bogus. The lack of professionalism this company demonstrates is sad. They refuse to take responsibility at all. They even broke an expensive glass night stand I didn't report that one because I let it go. If I was really out to get money from this company I would have included that as well but I didn't. I can see from the numerous other reviews on here that I am not the only one who has had a negative experience. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY. Oh my! We needed help with moving. We had the Uhaul but needed someone to load our furniture. After having a terrible experience with clutter, it was so hard to trust another moving company but once I saw that they were 5 stars, I had to give it a shot considering I hate moving and didn't want to lift anything. So 3 guys showed up on time, and at first I though oh man, middle aged men, no way they gonna be able to get this done. But boy was I wrong. These guys were fresh! Strong! And professional. Later on I found out that one of them was even a UFC fighter coach!!! We also had experience in past which led us to use a 26 foot truck for all our things. We hired this company through hire a helper. They arrived late despite having booked the first slot 7am to 8am. They arrive with 2 movers and the third mover was late twice. The movers did work fast but they came without a basic tool and used some of our boxes for our glass, so they were a bit unprepared. They had difficulty following directions when arriving at our new home. They ended up chipping our newly painted wall. And our washer was hooked up with hot to cold and cold to hot. Our dryer was scratched up inside and our TV was damaged. Would we hire them again? No, we wouldn't and would not recommend them.
