If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would. Heck, JG Audio & Alarm deserves a million stars! I have taken four cars to JG Audio over the last few years. Two of them were my cars. First, Rob and Juan worked on my first generation Prius and later on my Lexus hybrid. Because they did such excellent work (and excellent is an understatement), I also got them to work on the cars of 2 friends. All told, these guys have done detailing work, tinted windows, installed backup and side view cameras, Bluetooth audio players, and replaced a bezel. After my car was splattered with concrete during a sidewalk pour in SF I had to find a shop to do the detailing and removal. Alioto's Body Shop in SF recommended this shop for the work very highly. They didn't disappoint. Juan, the owner and sole magic maker at JG Audio/Alarm did an amazing job on my 9 year old car, making it look like it had just driven off the lot. He removed the concrete and made it shine like a diamond. He was flexible with appointment dates. Promised a timeline and stuck to it. Drove me home to SF (from Berkeley). And even picked me up from SF to get the car (I can't imagine he does this every time, but wow). His fees are competitive (the work came in much less expensive than another estimate I got.) His shop is kept in an immaculate state- you could eat off the floor it was so clean and organized. Juan is incredibly friendly and personable and committed to customer service. Our Toyota Camry's keyless entry no longer worked and the dealer estimated $1350 to diagnose, repair the computer and provide new keyless entry fobs. I don't often bother to write reviews, generally I'm compelled only by excellent (or terrible) experiences. As soon as I met Juan and looked in the shop I knew I was in the right place. Everything is clean and organized, he's extremely nice, efficient, and together. I needed something fairly rinky-dink done - replacing a few components on a car audio system that some idiot had attempted (and failed) to steal - and he did it perfectly. I arrived at 1, he said it would be done by 2. I went to my meeting, came back. Car's done. Not only is the job complete, but he actually did something I had on my task list for that day: he put all the random crap I had on the floor (receipts, etc) on the back seat in one place so I could go through them. There was also no evidence he had done work on the car - in the best way. The new stuff was installed and I couldn't otherwise see anything different. Wanted to modernize the stereo in my 2009 truck to something with bluetooth. Didn't want to order online and try to do it on my own having screwed that up once before. The team at JG Audio were very helpful in explaining my options and made setting up a future appointment easy. During the first install they realized they didn't have a part in stock that matched the color of my dash. Instead of sending me home empty handed they installed the one they had on hand and ordered the replacement. I went back in to get it swapped out and Juan showed me everything step by step. When the new one was installed, he wasn't quite happy with the way it fit so he offered to put the other piece back in for me. This whole process took way more of his time than I'm sure he'd allotted for, but his friendly demeanor never changed. I had a woofer replaced and a new receiver/deck thing put in my older car.The work was done promptly and well, and the price seemed fair. I agree with all the other reviews that Juan was exceptionally friendly and helpful. He explained all the features of the receiver to me and got it set up with my iphone. Can't say enough about Juan. I brought my recently stolen-and-recovered 2001 Honda CR-V to him to replace the stolen car stereo. He GAVE me a new car stereo FOR FREE. He.Gave.It.To.Me.For.Free. I was only charged for installation. It was an awful nice feeling and restored some of my faith in humanity. The installation job was clean and complete, and I am thrilled with the new stereo. I returned a few weeks later to have Juan do an interior detailing job to remove some of that just-stolen smell and soiling. He had my car back to me the same day and I appreciated that all the surfaces weren't covered in excessive wet detailing fluid. I was amazed at what they were able to do with my rear cargo area, which had been damaged by battery acid prior to the theft and I had written off ever recovering. The owner of the company insisted I needed a new radio/blue tooth system without even listening to it, when in fact, my left speaker was blown!
