We got here later tonight and got seated right away. The server is very respectful for my wife ordered a Mojito that was recommended and she ended up not liking it so the server happily replaced it with a different flavor of Mojito with no questions asked. The meat was fresh in the Mojito and she enjoyed it very much so. My piña colada was delicious and super flavorful and refreshing and all the fruit was fresh. Nothing spoiled or rotten. It was great overall. We ended up splitting the lobster with steak that was smothered in sauce and cheese. The lobster was cooked perfectly as well mistake with the rare just how I like it. The stake pretty much melted in your mouth as soon as you cut it and put it in your mouth in the lobster was very fresh as you could see them pick it right before they took it into the kitchen. The asparagus was not too soft, not too hard so it was just right and they didn't give you too much or two less. The cost was great and definitely worth the answer that we received. The restaurant was nice and quiet and not too well lit but most seating has a beautiful view of the ocean that is right across the street. There are several families in there as well and so they are family friendly for they have a large menu and multiple things for kids to choose from as well. This is a little more pricey location, but the food is amazing and so most definitely is worth it if you have the time to stop in for a date night or after your hike in the rainforest, you will not be disappointed..
We were brought here by our wonderful El Yunque leader. After we almost died a few times in the jungle we were pretty hungry for food and stable land. We were all dirty from the mud in the jungle and led upstairs away from general population. The table ordered Mojitos, Pina Coladas , burger Sliders and Spanish dumplings. The Piña Coladas were okay. Definitely not ranking against a few ither places we had them at because my daughter has a Piña colada addiction. Mojitos were nasty. The table near us (our adventure fam) also complained about their mojitos. The sliders were okay. The Spanish dumplings and beans were good. Service was okay nothing extraordinary. It's on Luquillo beach line amongst a few shop options.
We stopped by Jíbaro's after a jungle tour and it was the perfect spot to unwind with great food, drinks, and a beautiful view. We sat upstairs on the patio, which had an amazing beach view and a nice breeze -- ideal for relaxing after a long day. Our waiter was nice and gave us great recommendations for both food and drinks. We started with the rum punch, which was refreshing and hit just the right notes. For appetizers, the fried calamari was a standout -- super crispy and paired perfectly with a sweet garlic sauce. For mains, we had the shrimp with plantains (so flavorful and well-seasoned) and the pot-cooked pulled pork, which came in a generous portion with rice and a delicious sauce. Overall, a great post-adventure meal with a chill vibe, great flavors, and a view to match.
This place was recommended to us by people we met at breakfast. Located on the strip with all the kiosks, it has upstairs seating but it was dark so we stayed on ground level. during the day it would be fun to see the ocean. We ordered the calamari which was a generous serving of rings with a garlic aioli. The seafood paella came with 7 shrimps, 3 mussels, and small pieces of octopus. The portion was large enough for two to share. The meal was nothing to rave about but also no complaints.
My partner and I came here as part of a group excursion. Service was very slow, and I understand that they value enjoying a meal with family and loved ones. But the groups of 4-6 that ordered after us received their food before us and we didn't get our meals until they almost finished theirs. We both ordered medium cooked skirt steak, mine came out perfect. My partner's was cooked well done and salty. I'm glad I had the chance to try the food, but I would not come again because of the service. The drinks and food were good
We were looking for our last mofongoes before heading to the airport. This restaurant came up it was empty probably a night spot. Bus load of people came out in front of this restaurant. I ordered the steak, octopus mofongoes and fried pork/fries for kiddo. They were all well executed and delicious. The extra garlic sauce and hot sauce also enhanced the dish! The mojito drinks were also great. The fried pork/fries were sooooo good compared to this other casita place in town!! It was moist and crispy so perfect!! Love to come back again!
We visited here the last Wednesday in February around 7 pm. There was an immediate welcoming vibe as we walked up to review the menu. This was our first stop. We were greeted by the manager, Michael who gave us a run down of some of their dishes. Although we had not made a decision he gave us shots to toast the birthdays and retirements we were celebrating. Little did we know all along the birthday girl was drawn to the fresh healthy looking lobster in the tank and made her decision that this is where we would be dining. They quickly accommodated the 7 of us and introduced us to our server, Moises. Moises continued to answer our questions and gave detailed information about some of the menu items. They have a variety of cocktails and mocktails. Everyone was pleased with their drinks. Those that ordered the lobster were able to pick their own, and view the weighing of the lobster. The lobster is priced by the pound. We ordered Fish nuggets (grouper) and Mofongo. The fish nuggets were light and flavorful. The consistency of the Mofongo was good and burst with garlic flavor. If we were just stopping in for a little bite these would have been satisfying. Now let's get down to the gastric party !!! Both the fresh lobster and whole red snapper were split in half and filled with an assortment of seafood marinated in a cream sauce and savory flavor. The Puerto Rican Paella Moriscos (seafood rice dish) was flavorful and was filled with a substantial amount of seafood. The Can Can Pork Chop was a marvel to see. This is a pork chop trimmed with pork rind. My sister and I split our meal because we could not decide and wanted both the red snapper and the paella. That was the best decision so neither of us would deny our taste buds of these delights. Along with the paella, I ordered Puerto Rican dumplings . They were delicious. Others ordered the fried plantains and mashed potatoes which were just as good. The lobster was amazing too. The can can pork chop was a little dry but once they added same cream sauce it was good. Some of the dishes were carefully plated showing the layers of flavor., where you could not wait to dig in. Others showed the technical skill of the chef. If you have not figured by now this was a lot of food. Needless to say none went to waste. We took all of our left overs back to the resort to enjoy the next day. The birthday girl was given a Tres Leches cake and serenaded by the staff. Moises was so amazing. He was attentive, personable and knowledgeable about their menu. We felt like we were with family with Michael and Moises. Jibaro's Borinquen will be our place to dine when we visit Puerto Rico. The pricing is fair for the quality and amount of food we received. It is located at Luquillo Beach, Kiosk #22 In the Rio Grande area. There are about 40 other restaurants and bars in a row and all backup to the beach.
Jibaros definitely brings the experience with the rooftop view looking out to the beach! They had very refreshing pina colada drinks to match the tropical atmosphere. We ordered the sampler as an appetizer so we can taste a little bit of everything. Safe to say we all enjoyed it because nothing was left over! The portions were generous and the price was very fair! The white rice with habichuelas (Beans) was the star of the show. They made something so basic into something extremely authentic and unique. I've had many many different kinds of the same recipe but by far this has to be my favorite. The tostones (fried plantain) were way too dry and hard for me. But other than that, the service was good and the experience was everlasting!
Pictured is the Mofongo with Camarones Al Ajillo from Jibaros. The mofongo was delicious and flavorful paired with the shrimp topped with a garlic sauce. The shrimp tasted like Camarones Al Ajillo, but it was done in a different style than what I'm used to and I was pleasantly surprised. The sauce had a smooth almost foamy texture that paired perfectly with the mofongo. Their service was good, but we had to wait a while for our food. When you visit Jibaros you can enjoy delicious food with a view of the beach.

We had spent the morning on the beach, and then when it started to sprinkle, we wrapped things up and headed to the kioskos. We did a little souvenir shopping, and we ended up at Jibaro's. We weren't interested in full meals, so we had the fried appetizer sampler and the crab taco appetizer. The crab tacos were fresh and spicy, we enjoyed them, but probably wouldn't order them again. The fried appetizer sampler wasn't bad, we weren't quite sure what some of the items were to be honest, but we enjoyed it. Service was lacking, once they put the food down we didn't see anybody again which made us a little crabby, because we really wanted more drinks. We finally found someone who was willing to serve our table to finish out our meal. As I said, it wasn't bad, the view was nice, but I'm not sure I'd go there again. read more
Jibaro's is one of the only spots at the Luquillo Kiosk that's open late and I am so glad they were! From the food to the service everything was good and we got to enjoy the night out! Our server was new and it was her first day but she did amazing making sure she was attentive but not pushy as we could tell they were close to being closed. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful.. the ambience is nice with music playing but not too loud and still able to have a conversation and the restaurant is outside with room so no matter the weather a nice place to go. Overall the food was tasty we had the crab tacos which weren't what we expected but they were tasty! The wings were nice and crispy and the Alfredo not pictured was seasoned nicely. I will definitely be back when in Luquillo! read more

The mero (grouper) comes in a variety of ways. I requested the butter garlic to be on the side, but I barely used it. It was delicious the way it came and the lightness of the fish was refreshing on a hot day. I didn't enjoy the whip cream on the Virgin Pina Colada. Wish I knew it was topped with it, so I could request not to have it. read more
Awful experience! Granting 2 stars - one for the nice scenic view and tasty mompasteao rice. The service was a MAJOR letdown: 1. We ordered a piña colada but received a passion fruit slushie.... but didn't say anything it tasted good even though it's not what we ordered. 2. Upon inquiring if the main dish included a side, we were told YES, yet we were charged an additional $5 for the supposedly included "side" of special rice. 3. I requested fried chicken but was served a piece grilled chicken instead. And was then told they don't offer fried chicken.. so I decided to just not eat anything but the rice. 4. When we asked to speak with the manager, they responded rudely stating if I ordered the chicken I should pay for it, even though it was not what we had ordered???? Eventually, they removed the chicken from the bill, making it seem like they were doing me a favor. 5. Despite being the first patrons in the restaurant, we were the last to be served, enduring an excessively long wait. The manager promised to resolve these issues but didn't remove the extra $5 from our bill. We reluctantly paid and felt compelled to share this review, as the entire experience put a damper on our day. Other people in our group also had a bad experience and were given the wrong food as well. If you wanna come here for some alcoholic drinks and sit and watch the view it's a good spot but other than that I would stay away. read more

Giving it 3 stars based on 2 different experiences. The first experience I had wasn't the best. I arrived about 30 minutes after they opened. I ordered my lunch and waited for 30 minutes before the waiter told me that the rice wasn't done and would be done in 45 minutes. I ended up leaving but I did come back a few hours later. The happy hour rum punches were very tasty but it took about 25 minutes to get our first round. We had to remind the waitress as there was another table who came after us that received their drinks before us. We ordered the red snapper and it was delicious. The food was great but overall the customer service should improve. Pictured is the red snapper. You also get a nice view if you sit in the back of the restaurant. read more

After passing through several chicharonnes'along the way to the beaches, I saw some very riendly smiling faces at Jibaro's. The hostess', and waiters...everyone was Fantastic. Piña coloda was super tasty, rice was good, snapper was filling! The over all experience is worth a repeat. If I were local, that would be my spot! Vibe was chill. #checkthemout read more
A person we met on the trip at the rainforest recommended this place to us. We came here after the trip. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed. The drink was not appropriately mixed, the ice and passion fruit were not blended too well, so when I drank it, I had a cheap feeling. The paste was better than the red snapper. This is a town of good fired red snapper, this is really average. The paste was not to my liking as well. The paste is not handmade nor the sauce. I could taste it. The staff here is extremely nice, but the food coming to you can be slow. read more

This restaurant blew me away in every way possible. The upper deck area with the views and music were gorgeous. The service I received at this place was phenomenal. Everyone was friendly and inviting. The manager was very attentive and professional he didn't mind being informative and giving suggestions about the menu which we loved because The food was absolutely delicious not to mention super fresh. The coconut mojito was the best one I've ever had. In all honesty this was the most memorable experience and I say confidently this is the best restaurant in all of the kiosks hands down. Definitely coming back read more

We walked up the strip trying to decide what restaurant to eat at. I'm so glad we choose this one!! The food was delicious!!! Highly recommend. Would definitely come back here! Seafood rice & seafood Mofong was the best!! read more

We stayed in PR for a week and went to Jibaros on our last day. It was amazing. We saw a nice sunset over Luquillo Beach and the food was better than anything else we had all week. Our 8 year old loved the hand breaded chicken tenders. My fiance got the chicken mofongo and I got the mahi fillet. Drinks were superb and the service was awesome. The manager is very friendly. read more
Delicious drinks, good food and friendly staff! We ate here one day on our vacation and then came back again a few days later for the Mahi Mahi tacos and shrimp with garlic sauce. Both were very delicious! The view is nice on the top patio area. I will definitely eat here again if I go back to the Luquillo kiosks in the future! Everyone told us to go to La Parilla and it was ok but we ended up liking this place a lot more. read more
The manager was friendly and served us samples first to help us decide it was a combination frozen drink of passion fruit rum punch and sangria that we really wanted after our rain forest adventure. The kiosk at Liquillo Beach are definitely worth visiting with an assortment of local cuisine, plenty of drinks and souvenir shops. We recommend this one for a very cold tasty drink. 9% alcohol if that's important to know. Island vibe on the beach! read more
