    Room temperature pastures

My husband is Russian, so we were happy to see some familiar foods offered here. I didn't realize this location was just a cold food bar and some room temperature pastries. We tried the borscht, beet salad, olivie, pirojky, samsy, plov, kotletly. We enjoyed the soup, salads and pastries. I didn't care for the plov. It was oily and maybe it would taste better fresh.

This place deserve some love on Yelp and more attention! I love to try different cuisines which is a wonderful way to explore cultures. I don't really know much about jibek Jolu, but would love to find out more as their food are so delicious! I also don't know what I bought, they are savoury pastries, kinda like minced meat pies with soft flaky crispy exteriors. The flavors are deep and full of flavors. Absolutely love it. They are found inside Garden Fresh and I go there quite often so this is a great new addition to the neighborhood! The savoury pastries makes for great snacks and my children love them too!

As I had opportunity to try Russian food at a Russian household before, I will say this place is as close as you can get on good quality Russian/mid Asia food in this area. Very original and high quality. I always stop by and purchase something from her when I'm in the area. 10/10

I went yet again and brought home some beef jarovnya for dinner (cooked my own egg noodles to go with it). It was a little heavy on the dill, but very good overall. The beef was tender, and nice selection of veggies. I also got a slice of honey cake. It was heavenly! Light and creamy.

Not authentic. Some suggestions. I ordered "seld' pod shuboi" whish is a Russian potato/beet salad with herring. The herring was not salty as it should be, which made the salad taste bland like potato with beets only (and not enough mayonnaise either). Second, it says "chebureki" on the menu which is plural in Russian, and you show three on the menu picture. I only receved one with my order for an exorbitant price, just spell "cheburek" if you only send one. Third -"shorpo" soup, which should be spelled "shurpa" is not fatty and savory, like it is supposed to be. It has a few pieces of meat floating, but it is just an expensive watery meat soup. I spent $50 ordering, but this is just not authentic, will not be ordering again.

Love this place. Can't say enough good things the location in Glynn Ellen has best menu. Was highly disappointed with Chicago location menu.

It's halal, super clean, and the staff? Genuinely some of the kindest and warmest people you'll meet. You can tell they really care about their space and their food -- gloves, masks, and great hospitality all around. The vibe inside is lowkey but elegant, great for a quiet night out or a new food experience with friends or family. The menu reflects a wide variety of authentic dishes -- some comforting, others bold and new depending on your palate. Pelmeni (dumplings): Very strong in flavor, not what I'm typically used to. The texture might take some getting used to -- I wasn't the biggest fan, but my friend loved it. Plov: So flavorful and hearty -- slightly on the greasy side but still really satisfying. Manty: If you're into juicy, steamed dumplings, this is the move. The spices are deep and warming. Honey Cake: Hands down one of my favorites. Soft, lightly sweet, and melts in your mouth -- definitely a must-try. If you're into exploring lesser-known cuisines or just want a meal that feels like a journey across cultures, Jannat is a beautiful stop. It's an experience more than just a dinner, and you can feel the passion behind the dishes.

We started off with the caviar which came with blintzes on the side, egg salad, chopped onions, and sour cream. We ordered a bottle of champagne that was the perfect combination. We wanted to try a bunch of different items so we decided to split the Russian Tea Time platter for two as we were able to try some appetizers and then the entree plate included beef stroganoff, stuffed cabbage and chicken kebab. Everything was so tasty! My favorite food was the caviar, stuffed cabbage and for dessert we split the honey cake. The inside of the restaurant looked nicer in person than the photos I had seen online. The ambiance was sophisticated and serene. Our server was very attentive and they were quick to clear any dirty plates.

However, if you have never had R/U food before, then give it a try. Perashki had almost no potatoes in them, very small size, not tasty at all. Borsh was okay, not the taste I was hoping to get. Tabule had almost no greens (the traditional tabule is mostly the greens). This was nothing even close to the traditional tabule. 3 out of 10 I would not be back to this place for food.
