Milliy is a newly opened Uzbek restaurant in Naperville, not far from the DMV. It's next to Taco Bell in a small strip mall along 75th St. There's plenty of parking, and the interior is spacious and well appointed. They even have a closed off play area for toddlers. I only got takeout, so I didn't eat there yet, but it seems really nice inside. There was a slight language barrier while ordering and picking up. I ordered beef manti, fried lagman, eggplant salad, and a slice of milky way cake. The beef manti was excellent. It was on par with other places like Anjir and Chinar. The fried lagman was delicious, but the meat was very sparse compared to other Uzbek restaurants; there were enough noodles for three people, but only enough meat for one. The eggplant salad was amazing; it had a nice, subtly sweet flavor. The milky way cake was also delicious, although rather pricey at $9/slice. Looking forward to dining in some time with the family and trying some other dishes like chuchvara and the lagman soup. P.S. If you dine in with a group of 4 or more, they add an 18% gratuity to the bill.

The restaurant is so pretty and decorated really nicely. I'd love to bring family and friends for dining. I ordered lagman, samsa, mantis and beef kebabs for takeout so the service I saw while picking up was I guess nice. The food was really really delicious except samsa. I'm gonna take off two stars because of it. I was really looking forward to the samsa. I was super disappointed when I found out the samsa were not the traditional tandoor samsa with flaky crust. They charged me $6.99 for each samsa. Which is astonishing considering it's not even the traditional samsa.

A newer addition to Naperville food scene. The flavors are familiar but with enough of a twist to be enjoyably different. The Chicken Sai is reminiscent of stir fry, but has dill and other herbs. The Fried Lagman also has familiar udon style noodles but again with a twist. We also had the Beef Samsa with a nice sauce. It was a nice departure from the usual. I did note the health inspection issues after we dined, but a new commercial kitchen is always gonna have its growing pains. I'll update the review if we experience any ill effects.

We entered cautiously and were amazed. The interior is fun and a great ambiance. The menu has something for everyone. A mix of Middle Eastern and Russian. The hummus was delicious. Lamb kebabs and meat dumplings but also vegetarian dishes. Loved it. Definitely going back.

My wife spotted this place across the street - Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay. How could we go wrong? Well, we couldn't. The interior was smartly outfitted - the lighting, the ceilings, the walls, were all classy and nicely done. Service was outstanding - water and soft drink glasses were refilled regularly, and the table checked for food quality on multiple occasions. I was intrigued by their Prime Rib Sandwich, which is served with onion crisps. I went for the $4 upgrade to Truffle Fries. The sandwich was LARGE, very tasty, and just plain wonderful to eat. The Truffle Fries added a bit of spice to the meal. My wife had their Fish & Chips. When I saw the sandwich on the side just coming out of the kitchen, I was wondering how she'd eat it, since the piece of fish was BIG. Like How Do I eat this BIG. She used her knife and fork and got the job done. Great food, great service, nice location right on Jefferson Avenue. What a great place! We'll have to come back for Dinner!

Last time I went to the taqueria I noticed that a new restaurant was in the works, all the way back behind the bakery. I spoke with the lady and confirmed it was going to be pan-Asian food and all halal! She told me the opening date was November 1st. Today I stopped in, and sure enough it was open. The lady (who I believe is Yola) told me they planned to rotate dishes and will include various Asian dishes, like Thai food. Today they had fried rice, crispy noodles, shrimp, fried chicken drumsticks/wings, chicken lollipop, and diced chicken & potatoes. They even had duck! It all looked good, but I decided to try fried rice with the diced chicken & potatoes, along with a few pieces of chicken lollipop (which is like fried chicken on a stick, or bone). I brought the food to my parent's house for a family dinner. I really enjoyed the food. The fried rice wasn't out of this world, but the chicken lollipop was really good and the chicken & potato dish was pretty good. I love Asian food, so I'm stoked about having a halal option. The food was sold by weight, and I feel we got a decent value. This isn't a place you can go to for a nice dinner out, but a good takeout option. Looking forward to trying other dishes here.

We decided to give this place another try and that was before I knew of the new ownership. I say this because the staff is new when we went this past Wed. We ordered Texas jalapeño double, onion rings, Cajun fries, and chicken wings. Everything was made fresh. She made my burger like how I wanted it, it was juicy. The burger is much bigger than it looks in the picture btw for a double. You can order a single patty. The jalapeño poppers gave it a nice taste, it wasn't spicy at all. The onion rings were okay, I think I'll skip that next time. The Cajun fries were tasty, not too salty. The chicken wings were flavorful on the outside and I love how these wings are meaty. These are not those tiny ones. There was only one woman that ran everything and she was very kind. Prices were reasonable. This is about a 4.5 out of 5.
