It was our first time dining at Milliy Family Restaurant, and we had such a wonderful experience! The restaurant is spotless and thoughtfully designed -- there's even a kids' playground inside, which is a total game-changer for parents like us who don't have grandparents nearby for date nights. The kids had a blast playing, which meant we actually got to enjoy a peaceful dinner. 100 bonus points for that, Milliy! Our server, Venera, was an absolute delight -- friendly, knowledgeable, and so attentive. We truly felt welcomed and well taken care of. And the food... oh, the food! To start, I'll admit I'm not an expert on Uzbek cuisine, though I do enjoy food from that part of the world. The space: The restaurant itself is inviting--clean, nicely decorated, and even equipped with a kids' play area, which makes it feel well-suited for families and larger gatherings. The service: Service felt on the slower side, but I later realized there's a call button on the table--likely the system they use for ordering, asking for help, or requesting the check. A good tip for first-time visitors: press the button when you're ready. The food: I ordered the Palov, a traditional rice dish with lamb chunks and a quail egg. Unfortunately, it wasn't to my taste. I completely dont understand how businesses like this ever exist!!! Food, place and staff are absolute disaster. We will never be back there again. Staff are extremely unprofessional, I dont understand where they picked those guys, they dont know how to serve and how even talk to customers. The waiter came up to us and started to act like he was a friend of us, asking overly curious questions. Other one was staring at us. They brought hummus which tasted like a cold oatmeal, no salt, no required seasoning as it should be for hummus. I dont know who ever made this. All of rest food very not tasty at all. Moreover, they were not fresh!! French fries were not fried normally as they suppose to be. They brought compot (boiled fruit juice), which was not fresh, and later my son started vomiting. We told the waiters about that issue but they didn't even offered a discount or even apologised for that. The only thing they told us "no all of our food are fresh" and thats it. Delicious! We ordered crispy eggplant salad, and the tomato salad, and split the pumpkin dumplings for an appetizer, all really good but the eggplant was delicious. Milliy is a newly opened Uzbek restaurant in Naperville, not far from the DMV. It's next to Taco Bell in a small strip mall along 75th St. There's plenty of parking, and the interior is spacious and well appointed. They even have a closed off play area for toddlers. I only got takeout, so I didn't eat there yet, but it seems really nice inside. There was a slight language barrier while ordering and picking up. I ordered beef manti, fried lagman, eggplant salad, and a slice of milky way cake. The beef manti was excellent. It was on par with other places like Anjir and Chinar. The fried lagman was delicious, but the meat was very sparse compared to other Uzbek restaurants; there were enough noodles for three people, but only enough meat for one. The eggplant salad was amazing; it had a nice, subtly sweet flavor. The milky way cake was also delicious, although rather pricey at $9/slice. Looking forward to dining in some time with the family and trying some other dishes like chuchvara and the lagman soup. P.S. The restaurant is so pretty and decorated really nicely. I'd love to bring family and friends for dining. I ordered lagman, samsa, mantis and beef kebabs for takeout so the service I saw while picking up was I guess nice. The food was really really delicious except samsa. I'm gonna take off two stars because of it. I was really looking forward to the samsa. I was super disappointed when I found out the samsa were not the traditional tandoor samsa with flaky crust. They charged me $6.99 for each samsa. Which is astonishing considering it's not even the traditional samsa. read more

A newer addition to Naperville food scene. The flavors are familiar but with enough of a twist to be enjoyably different. The Chicken Sai is reminiscent of stir fry, but has dill and other herbs. The Fried Lagman also has familiar udon style noodles but again with a twist. We also had the Beef Samsa with a nice sauce. It was a nice departure from the usual. I did note the health inspection issues after we dined, but a new commercial kitchen is always gonna have its growing pains. I'll update the review if we experience any ill effects. read more

My dad and I were saying during our meal that it is such a great feeling when you get your money's worth, and Milliy's was that place! The dishes were great! The only criticism I would give is that the chocolate cake was a bit stale and was not on par with the rest of the dishes, but other than that, this is totally a place I will be returning to. I love this restaurant. Have been back three times already but I was a bit disappointed on the beef pastry that I ordered a week ago. It was different from what I had the first time. The pastry wasn't as fluffy and layered as the original. Not sure if they have changed the baker or chef. Hope they will bring back the original taste. Aside from that, everything else tasted yummy. This place is my family's new favorite restaurant. The food is excellent. Caesar salad is superb, lamb chops top notch, nice dill flavor with the rice, grilled chicken, beef chunk kabob, and ground beef very good and unique. Honey cake is delicious. Beef Manti delicious, make sure to get the spicy sauce with it. Staff are amazing and consistently treat you like family. The manager is very welcoming and personally makes sure guests are taken care of. The place looks beautiful inside. One of the best parts for us is the play place for the kids! We stay there for hours as a family and the kids are having fun the whole time and the adults can relax without worrying about the kids. There is also a beautiful, clean prayer room which makes life easy if you need to pray in a nice, clean, peaceful place. They also have a photographer who takes a free professional family photo and you can purchase additional photos if you like. Their prices are around 50% of what you pay at similar other places somehow. We basically go here weekly now. Love this place and highly recommend, especially for families with younger kids. read more
