I am in retail and I am always looking for good customer service, honesty, and effectiveness. Today, I will have to say that from the beginning to the end of my experience the service was very fishy. I was trying to be SOLD on stuff I did not even need. I was in need of a state inspection and the associate told me to buy a certain accessory, otherwise, he stated, you will fail your state inspection. I did not buy it, and went to a place down the street. When I requested a state inspection, was really quick and guess what...I did not need to buy anything to pass my inspection. We went to Jiffy Lube to do an oil change on Sunday and after spending $94 when they went to give me my car, the car wouldn't start. The techs spent an hour or so trying to get it started and changing codes and even calling other mechanics to try to fix the code they said to get it started on our Honda CRV. We called Honda and they suggested a new battery which my husband bought, still wasnt' issue. We had to have the car towed to Honda dealership at our expense yesterday only to find out this morning Jiffy Lube had unplugged the cord going to the starter when changing the oil. They also tried using old oil, pan etc.. when changing oil. So, now after hundreds of dollars - oil change at Jiffy Lube, new battery, car towed, service at Honda where oil was done correctly and labor to find the issue we can pick up our running car this afternoon. Oh and did I mention the inconvenience of having my husband drive me to and from work the past 4 days as I didn't have my car. Seriously, what kind of joke is this? SERIOUSLY lazy service. Pulled up for inspection. There are 6 guys around ONE car in their oil change bay. Nobody else waiting. They are just chatting with one another. I waited 15 minutes after telling them I needed an inspection. No idea how long they would have let me wait. When I pulled out (I left), the attendant just waves me through the bay. No "just a moment, sorry for the wait". No "why are you leaving?". Nothing. CARE about your customers for goodness sake!! You are a SERVICE business. Act like it. read more

Went by to get a quick oil change at lunch only to be told after waiting for a bit that they don't carry my filter so they couldn't do my oil change. As I had had my previous oil change at a Jiffy Lube, I found this odd. I explained that to whom I assume was the manager who then told me it wasn't worth the $200 keeping the type of filter I needed for my car for the roughly two oil changes they performed every 6 months on the kind of car I drive. Had my car's oil changed a week ago today and the engine seized shortly thereafter. My mechanic put it up on the rack to discover a oil covered engine compartment and surprise... no oil filter. I probably won't go back here simply because I believe I can get better service elsewhere. Pros: - went the extra mile to vacuum the car and clean the windows - waiting room was ok (but the TV kept cutting out) - they didn't push other services on me Cons: - way too slow! I arrived at 7:30am and was the only customer there. The oil change took 40 minutes. Nothing jiffy about that. - cost they quoted the first time ($118) was ridiculous. Run by unethical people. Came in and asked about oil change--there was no one there. They pull my car in, run the type, then insist I have to get synthetic--um, I don't think so. Told him I don't need that and what the price of regular 5-30. This is where is gets interesting--the jerk tells me to get the f out of there if I don't buy synthetic! I have been taking my car to get serviced at the Jiffy Lube on Parmer and Mopac for the past 3 years. I always received great service. Now that I have moved closer to Cedar Park, I have been taking my car to this location. I didn't think service could have been any better, but sure enough these guys went above and beyond. They are very thorough when it comes to recommended service. It is not about the sale for these guys, but the quality of service. The 3rd time I took my car, there were several people. One of the employees would periodically come into the lobby to let the customers know that they are working diligently to get our vehicles serviced as fast as possible. When my car was finished, they gave me a breakdown of everything they checked (different than the one on parmer) and handed me a coupon for $$ off my next visit. I'm glad this location has staff with great work ethic! read more

The guy who greeted me today was nice and helpful. Upon waiting for about 30 minutes for my oil change to be finished, it was my turn to pay. The man at the register though was HORRIBLE. Tossed some sort of coupon book at me and wouldn't use the $13 off coupon I had on my phone. I had gotten the conventional service with penzoil listed on the coupon but he didn't apply it. There was a $10 discount on my invoice instead. I wasn't going to complain about that. But now that I'm home and reviewing the invoice further- he added $9 on to my invoice, listed as a donation to MDA? I was never asked to donate nor made aware of this prior to paying and leaving. We'll be by tomorrow to get this refunded and I'll go to the one a little further up the road next time. read more

I've been getting my oil changes at this Jiffy Lube the past couple of years because they are conveniently located on my route home. The service has been prompt and friendly. In my case these guys aren't overly aggressive about pushing "extra" services like I have experienced at some lube places. The staff at this Jiffy Lube have demonstrated that they are willing to go the extra mile. My registration and vehicle inspection happen to expire in the same month. I showed up recently with brand license new plates just after paying my registration and asked if they would be willing to perform my inspection without me having installed the new plates. They did one better and offered to put my new plates on for me while performing the vehicle inspection. I gratefully accepted. They quickly performed the inspection and installed the plates. I think that was a very nice touch. read more

They go easy on the upsell and understand when I tell them my husband would get mad if I paid them $20 to change the air filter when he could do it for $5. I've been coming to this location for 3 years and have never had a big issue. Today I walked in and the so-called assistant manager Rick starts off by handing me his computer keyboard which is covered with oil for ME to fill out my own information I have never in my life have had anyone so rude. Then after the oil change I could not believe he asked me what mileage I wanted for my next oil change reminder sticker. HE IS THE PROFFESIONAL but he asked me how many miles I wanted to put on my sticker to remind me when to get an oil change!!! I come to you as a customer you don't ask me. He also got upset and gave me an attitude when I told him that I did not have the money to get his synthetic oil change upgrade...I would have gotten it had I had money. Trish was a very slow worker. Did not seem to be capable of doing tasks on her own. She does not need to be wearing stripes. She shouldn't even be around vehicles. Rick and his team, especially Michael really went above and beyond with their service. After I had left the shop for my oil change, my oil filter gasket ring snapped and spilled oil all over my engine. I called Rick immediately after leaving the store letting him know I was stranded with my hood open and smoke coming out. They met me at my location and replaced the broken gasket, refilled my oil levels and asked me to follow them back to the shop so they could properly degrease my engine to clean it out. I never expected service like that for an oil change. Very profesional, friendly and hands down best service! read more

They have no basic oil change service. I can go anywhere and get my oil changed, tires rotated, and windshield fluid topped off for $10.00. They only do a $70 service. What a rip off. They said they do a complimentary vacuum and tire fill. They didnt. The air in my tires are still lower than what they're saposed to be. For a little historical background, here is my original review: "Unfriendly, rude, and unprofessional even by auto service standards. Just go somewhere else." As to the complaint that it lacks specificity: Guilty as charged. I should have provided detail, which I gladly supply in this review at the request of that Yelp member. However, Before I begin, I should note that in the 3 days that my review was on the Jiffy Yelp page that Jiffy did not reach out to me in any form or fashion to ask for specifics regards my complaint. Considering my experience with Jiffy at this location, that doesn't at all surprise me. Let me further preface the details of my experience by noting that in the many years I have used Yelp, this is the only time I've given a one star rating. ONE TIME. I'm a nice guy and don't like to give less than 3 stars except in extraordinarily bad experiences, which are very rare. So here is the deal. My registration expires at the end of the month and it's a Sunday and I'm heading out of town for the week. So, I need to get my vehicle inspected. I remember that there is a Jiffy Lube on the corner that is always open, so I figure I'll drop by there : quick, easy, no hassles, courteous: Right...... So, I pull in still a little grungy from my morning bike ride and tell the guy that I just need need an inspection. No problem so far. Dude leads me to the waiting area, which is dingy and cramped compared to many other similar places I've been too, such as Mister Lube, but whatever, it is an auto lube business and I didn't plan on spending the night or hosting my wedding there. Anyway, so far so good: in and out was my thinking. Ok, specifics are tiring. Anyway I'm sitting there looking busy playing with my phone, and this dude Scott waddles in to ask me a question, at least that was what I thought at first glance.... Instead, He looks down at my proof of insurance and says, "the plates don't match the registration. Did you take these off the Durango (my wife's car)?" I'm puzzled (thinking: 'what exactly is this guy accusing me of doing?' Hint: fraud) but answer "no." But Scott of Jiffy Lube gets there soon enough. I explain that back in in January, my front plat flew off into the abyss, never to return, and that I obtained new plates from the DMV, and the plates on the vehicle are the ones they sent me. Scott says: "these plates don't belong to you." OK. Now it was clear what he was getting at: since the plates don't match the registration, then I must have skulked out in the dead of night and stolen these plates. So I'm sitting there in their grimy little waiting room, phone in my hand, jaw dropped and speechless at the accusations coming from this dude in front of 4-5 people. Well, That is pretty dam embarrassing, pardon my language members of the Yelp community, and one member in particular. Anyway, like I said, I was dumbstruck and just reiterated that the plates are the replacement plates the DMV sent me and that beyond that, I don't know what he is talking about. So Scott of Jiffy Lube shakes his head and rolls his eyes at me as if I'm some petty criminal and then walks out. After he leaves, I'm literally sitting there thinking that the DMV sent me some body else's plates and that I'm at risk of going to jail if Scott reports me or, god forbid, I get pulled over! Im truly feeling embarrassed in front of these other customers and want to hide my face. I mean, it was crystal clear what he was implying. I'm thinking I'm going to call the DMV first thing Monday morning before I end up in the slammer. So as I sit there with my scarlet letter blazoned on my chest, Scott finally walks into deliver the news: gas cap failed. And, while shaking his head in clear moral judgement, says: "I probably shouldn't have even agreed to do the inspection....." I'll finish the insinuation: 'considering that you stole your plates.' Anyway, I gather from the floor what is left of my self-dignity and get in my vehicle. Ashamed and worried that I'm at risk of immediate arrest, I sped back to the security and relative safety of home (I'm married and have a tweenage (copyright) daughter, hence the qualifier 'relative'). I tell my wife what happened, and she comforts me as the good lord commands. I send an email to the DMV telling them what Scott told me and pleading with them to tell me ASAP Monday morning comes and I call the DMV. They verify that the plates on my car are registered to my vehicle but that they should have sent a new registration sticker, which they didn't. Also, she says that there was NO REASON for Jiffy to question me about the discrepancy!!! That is right. All that moral judgment from Jiffy Lube for no reason. So, thanks Jiffy. came in for an oil change,they proceed to show me some film in my cap that means i need my engine flushed. I pulled out a receipt from another place that showed them I had my engine flushed over summer. The attendant said "oh, well you should go back to them". I said just give me the oil change,he tried pushing synthetic oil to which I said no. Then when I asked about the coupon price he said he didn't have that kind of oil. Terrible service! I went there 3 times trying to get a state inspection. First time, it was around 2:00 pm and was told that I needed to come back later because the state inspection guy told me he was about to take lunch break. Hello can't somebody else cover for you while on lunch? Second time I went at 6:15pm and was told the state inspection guy went home at 6:00 pm. Again, doesn't he have a backup? Third time I went I asked for an oil change, asked for air in my tire that was low, and for a state inspection. I was told I needed a transmission flush when I had just gotten one in July 2018, but naively believed the technician. He also upselled my oil change. He told me the transmission flush would take 20 minutes. I was there for an hour and a half and was told my car did not pass state inspection because of a malfunction with their equipment! When I drove my car away after being there for an hour and a half, my tire was not aired up and my computer was still showing I needed an oil change. I had to go back for a fourth time to get them to fix the computer to show I had an oil change!! I voiced all of my complaints to the manager who was not helpful at all! And I took my car to Christian Brothers and passed the inspection with a 20 minute wait! I will NEVER go to this Jiffy Lube again! read more

The place has a few signs up advertising their $29.99 oil change, but for some reason they told me that it's not available anymore. Even tried to tell me that I need an oil change every 3000 miles. Despite that, the fact that he tried to charge me $63 for an oil change, while a $29.99 oil change sign was hanging up right behind him was mind-boggling to me.
