I had noticed that I was losing air in my front left tire and frankly, driving up to Infiniti North wasn't really on the cards. I had purchased my tires from them when I was getting Big Blue serviced. Wifey had been to our local Firestone and was always treated well, so popped up. Walked in the door and immediately greeted by William at around 10am. I mentioned what the issue was and he immediately jumped into action and asked if he could look himself. Out we went and quickly he found a screw in my tire. Immediately put me at ease and told me that this was completely fixable. Back inside he put together the service ticket. It would be about an hour wait and perhaps 30 minute fix. My bad, I didn't bring my laptop, since they had complimentary wifi. Also, some complementary cold water, I did rue the fact I had left my Yeti with coffee siting in my office at the casa. I pulled up a seat and nestled in. Discovery on the TV had Oak Island Treasure show, what a lot of bollock that is. People watching as almost as good as being in the Social Security office. Entertained myself and then was called up to look at what all they had found. A very soft offer to add a new air cleaner, oil change and one other item, which I declined. I mean everyone does this, no matter it being a little irritating to be reviewed. Just stood my ground and politely declined. I was trading my car in the next month or so for the new 2027 QX65, so these items would be taken care of by the dealership. I noticed my car up in the bay and not to long after it scooted by to be parked and picked up. The only tiny little suggestion, it was another 15mins after the car was parked, that the ticket came up to William to check me out. He was also with another walk in at that point. Pro-tip, next time I will get there when they open, since I think this tire patch would have only been 30 mins. It overall was a pleasant experience, it does do a lot of walk up traffic, so plan accordingly. You could leave your car with them and they will call you when ready. I'll be back if needed! The service manager claimed they could not perform the check because their machine "detected two types of refrigerant" in the system. This raised red flags, so I contacted several other Firestone locations and spoke with multiple managers and A/C technicians. Every single one told me they had never heard of a system that can detect refrigerant type in this way. When I called the general manager of the East Palm Valley location to address my concerns, he became argumentative rather than offering a clear explanation. The impression I was left with is that this store uses the $19 A/C check as a bait-and-switch tactic--claiming there's an issue, then telling you that you need more Freon before they can proceed, which conveniently raises the cost to over $400. My advice: be cautious. Ask questions, get a second opinion, and don't fall for upsell tactics that don't make sense. read more

2018 Tacoma. I went in for routine basic maintenance and came out with warped rotors. The brakes were working great before taking it in and the brake inspection done during the maintenance was green -- nothing wrong. After the maintenance when driving away, the brake pedal was very soft. I took it back that evening to have the air removed from the brake lines. That was done and fixed the softness. But then right after the maintenance I had bad pulsing and shaking when braking. I took it back again 2 days later and was told that now my rotors are warped (I would have to pay $600 to replace them). I reviewed what happened with my usual mechanic who has seen warping of rotors in the past when torque settings were wrong when installing lug nuts. They say nothing happened in the shop. Thought I'd save a bit over factory service. Had Firestone do a water pump and timing belt. From our current mechanic, "The timing belt tensioner was installed incorrectly. Mounting bolt was overtightened, preventing required movement." Timing belt failed after only 21,000 miles and 21 months. That's when I found out what an 'interference' engine was. Required a rebuild of the entire top end. Another issue that should make you think twice. Bought 4 new tires. Only noticed much later they were mismatched: 3 Destination LE2, but 1 Destination LE3. Bunch of bozos to be honest. I bring my car in for an obnoxious exhaust rattle and some brakes that were acting up. I gave them my uneducated best guess on what the problems MIGHT be and these goons ONLY checked the things I listed and told me everything was fine. Asked em to find WHY my exhaust was rattling and fix it, "Oh yeah seems all your exhaust mounts are there and clipped so we're not seeing an issue." Uhhhhh buddy if you even so much as opened a door or closed one you'd hear the rattle.....buddy that's an issue. It was an exhaust collar..... they had no idea probably didn't look either. And my brakes that they ONLY checked the pad life of and read it off to me like I asked, were not fine. I knew that the second you read your sheet and one of the pads was way more worn than the rest. I just took my keys and left. I had 2 very simple problems and wanted a professional to do their job and it was the worst service I've ever seen. Absolutely unbelievable. This franchise needs to go. I came to get my tires done today and right as I entered my car, the stuff in the middle of my car was shifted around. Luckily, no one stole anything, but they did touch my stuff that they should not have at all They got their dirty fingerprints all over stuff that's very personal to me, that I now cannot remove the stains of. If you come to this place, make sure you don't leave any of your personal and very memorable belongings in your vehicle, because they'll get their grimy little fingerprints all over it and you can't get them removed at all read more

Our truck started acting up after the recent ice storms in Texas. We had to have it towed and our roadside assistance listed Firestone as close. We recognized the name and thought it was a place we could trust. Boy were we wrong! 2 1/2 weeks later and almost $2,000 we are still without a vehicle. We were told the truck was fixed twice. The first time was within two days of drop off but the check engine light came on within 24 hours of pickup. We then were placed in their "queue" for a week. "First come, first serve". I guess our previous two day wait didn't put us at the front of queue. When we were told the truck was ready the second time, we arrived at the shop to find the truck would not start. The original issue does not appear to be fixed. Now we are back in the "queue". They supposedly looked at the truck in the parking lot but are waiting for a bay to open up. I guess we are to be appreciative that they "will not charge us to perform an engine analysis this time". Also, in reviewing our two invoices we found we were double charged for two items. Assuming they are able to get our truck running, we will not be returning to this shop again. read more

So, I am always wary of having to take my car somewhere and relying on the advice I receive. I knew I needed my brakes done and had been mentally preparing for a while. I previously had a tire repair (that went smoothly) at this location. So I thought why not try it out again. I decided to make an appointment. To my surprise and delight I was able to make the entire appointment online. Always a plus in my book. Fast forward to appointment day- I dropped my car off on a busy Saturday morning thinking I would need to leave it until the following day. Instead, I had my car back by early afternoon. There was plenty of communication about what was recommended. I was able to understand what needed to be done and they didn't hassle me when I didn't choose to do every single thing. All in all it was a good experience. I had the rear brakes done, brake fluid flush, oil change, and alignment for a really decent price. I totally recommend this place. My coolant keeps disappearing but there's no visible external leak. Meaning there must be a leak elsewhere INTERNALLY. I took my car in at 9AM and explained the situation. By 3PM they called and told me they 'tested my car for over an hour and could't find a leak.' So they topped off my coolant and sent me on my way. And of course the second I got home (15 min later) I checked the coolant reservoir and all of the coolant was gone. I called the following morning, asking what I should do. I expressed my worry about my engine and furthering any damage that might have already taken place. The mechanic was very dismissive and nonchalant. ABSOLUTELY NO HELP WHATSOEVER. read more

Although I had had disappointing experiences with Firestone in the past (both this and other locations), I decided to give the shop another chance. My mistake, I dropped my vehicle off this morning and was told that it would take a while but was assured that it would be ready before the end of the day (i.e. 7p closing). Since I hadn't heard anything by ~4:15p, I called and was assured again that they had not had a chance to look at it yet but that it would be ready before closing. Since I was dubious, I called again at ~6:15p, and was told that they still had not had a chance to look at it and it would likely be sometime tomorrow before they could. I went and picked up the vehicle before closing and am not sure I will consider using Firestone again. read more

Didn't hear from anyone....after nearly 2 hours, I flagged someone down who said they almost had a quote for me. 2.5 hours after I arrived (with an appointment), they emailed me a quote that included a laundry list of things they wanted to upsell. On 11/22/2022, I had an appointment to have all four tires replaced. First off, the customer service was horrendous. But, my BIGGEST complaint is the fact that they have thieves working here. This was a horrible experience. Made an appointment online for an inspection for registration and when I got there I was told that they didn't do appointments it was first come first serve and it would be about an hour and a half. That was frustrating but fine. That was at 0900, it is now 1:15pm and it is still not done. People have came and gone around me all day. No one apologized or gave any explanation of why it's taking so much longer. About 2 hours in I was given an update and told it would be another 1-2 hours. I have done this simple inspection in under 30 minutes at other places. This has happened to me here multiple times. Last year was a 3 hour wait. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave them other chances. I'm not a complainer and am a veteran so hurry up and wait is a practice I'm used to but this is not acceptable. The customer service was awful. I ended up getting upsold for additional minor issues that are very quick fixes so should not have added much time. So came in for an $18 inspection and am now up to $200 sitting here for 4 hours and counting. I will never come here or any of their locations again. I would warn others to steer clear of Firestone. I made a 1:00 appointment to fix a burnt out headlight. On the day of I was running early for a change, arriving at Firestone 45 minutes prior to my appointed time and fully prepared to wait. They began work on my car within ten minutes of my arrival and finished the repair before my appointment time. They even offered to do my state inspection, which they noticed had expired. The price I paid was the exact price I was quoted when I made the appointment- to the penny. Outstanding service and it is a relief to have that headlight working again. read more

Dale has been great to work with over the years. He always calls to let us know all details before starting any work and has never tried to upsell us for parts or services we don't need. They are not super fast every time we need service work, so we take that into account and plan accordingly. (Well, they are fast compared to most car dealerships.) Prices are fair--not the cheapest and not the most expensive. It's nice to leave our car at this location knowing it's in good hands. We buy our tires here and get oil changes as well. read more

I called a day in advance to make an appointment for my tire alignment and oil change and was told it would take 2 hours, and could drop off at 11 am the following day. At 3:30pm (4.5 hours later) I was told in a voicemail by Dustin that my car was ready to be picked up. I arrived to pick up at 4:45pm and after waiting in line was told that my car alignment was not yet done and it would be another 30 minutes to an hour. No apology or attempt to right the situation! I will never trust Firestone again! I stopped yesterday at Firestone on William Cannon because I had a nail in my tire. The tech and I looked at it together. The nail was not near the sidewalls. They called me a couple hours later and said it couldn't be fixed because it was too close to the sidewall. I said that's not so. They said you'll need to buy a new tire and two tires are recommended. I had a bad taste in mouth. I told them to put the spare on and I will pick my truck up. When I got there the guys in the back were all looking at me. They didn't charge me. Today I went to DISCOUNT TIRE on Slaughter & Manchaca and they were wonderful. They told me if the nail is close to the sidewall we cannot fix it. I said "I agree 100%. They were able to fix the tire and air up my spare. At no charge. I love Discount Tire. I have NEVER been treated badly there and will always trust them. Word of advise - Do not trust Firestone! This is the third time they have been dishonest with me. Wow ... terrific service. They did the work I hired them to do, and did it well. But when Dale was test driving the minivan afterward, he noticed it running rough. He proceeded to track down not one, not two, but three problematic mounts that he replaced before I came to pick up the car. They knew we were going on a long road trip and wanted us to avoid any problems, so they really went above and beyond to put us in good shape. I had an appointment for 11am. When I was told it would take an hour to an hour and a half, I chose to wait. There were a few things I wanted to do in the shopping center, so no problem. When I walked back up an hour later; they were just pulling my car in. I am still here three and a half hours later. The two times I have asked someone how much longer, I've been told "almost done." Wrong both times. Based on their inability to communicate accurately, I will definitely not be back. I could have arranged to drop it off if I knew how long this would take. I am only here for an oil change and inspection. This should not take three and a half hours. read more

I was dealing with a flat tire this morning, slow leak turned fast...they worked me in quickly, assessed my situation and even went to another location to pick up the tire I needed. It took a couple of hours and there was no attempt to upsell which I greatly appreciated. I was shown all of my options but was respected and treated no differently when I chose the "good" tire versus the "better" or "best". Additionally, I left a bag with a computer there and when I called several hours later to see if it was there, it was and had put away for me. Love the honesty. Thank you! read more

My wife came out to her car today to find the left, rear tire flat. No sign of a nail or screw or cut in the tire, so I pumped it up and it seemed to be holding air. Drove over the the Firestone store. They checked it out and determined there was a problem with the tire pressure monitoring system on that tire. Replaced the TPMS and everything seems fine. Good service, reasonable price, excellent communication via email and over the phone. They did recommend almost $1300 in suggested maintenance. Sort of not why I was there, but gave me some price comparison info for when and if I decide to do any of those things and gave me some things to look out for. read more
