I returned again to Jiffy Lube in Carson City on E. Williams and again serviced by Daniel, Christopher and Derek. New group of guys but service was the same, fantastic, fast and very professional. No over selling of service, they did offer me all of the options that I could or might have needed, but I was just in for an oil change and they did it with the speed of a Formula 1 race car pit, I was out in a flash and they did great work. Have always had our vehicles serviced by certified mechanics. I needed an oil change on our 2007 Toyota Tacoma and our regular mechanic couldn't get me in for two weeks, so I decided to go to Jiffy Lube #3389 in Carson City, NV. Watching the techs work didn't give me confidence, bouncing between multiple bays instead focusing on one vehicle at a time, but they were polite, and the price was reasonable. When I took our Tacoma to our regular mechanic for the next oil change, he immediately found that the oil pan had been completely stripped of all threads at the last service due to incorrect drain plug installation and my truck was out of commission and stuck on his lift until he could install a new oil pan. Jiffy Lube's doing. My mechanic also said I was extremely lucky the plug held otherwise I'd be looking at a new engine instead of just an oil pan. I authorized the repair, $475, so my vehicle was functional so I could go to work and my mechanic could get my truck off his lift. Upon hearing about the damage caused by Jiffy Lube I immediately opened a claim with customer service over the phone. The operator made it clear that all Jiffy Lube service centers are independently owned and operated, meaning the parent company wasn't likely going to take responsibility. Next I drove to the Jiffy Lube that damaged our truck to talk with the manager, show him the oil pan and plug and discuss the process to resolve my claim. He didn't appear interested, was not helpful. Upon arriving home I sent documentation and pictures to Jiffy Lube customer service replying to the confirmation email with my claim number sent to me when I opened my claim. Customer service promptly replied they updated my case and will share my comments with Griffin Fast Lube Nevada, LLC. the franchisee entity which operates the Jiffy Lube service center store responsible. I'm now waiting, hoping to hear something from the operator in next few days, but honestly don't expect to. If not, I'll pursue a decision in court. Recommend using actual certified mechanics not quick lube centers to work on your vehicles. read more

I came here for an oil change and to make sure there were no other issues with my vehicle. They were quick and efficient! They changed my oil, filled up all my fluids, filled up my tires, and made sure I was leaving with a safe vehicle. I'm very happy with how quick and friendly they were and when I had a little issue they were quick to help and get things figured out for me. I will be coming back here for future oil changes! The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable which made the experience less stressful for me. The prices are up there but what isn't these days. At least I know coming here my vehicle will be looked through thoroughly and I can drive knowing all is well! read more

Typical Jiffy Lube.... Didn't have time to do my own oil so I figured I'd bring it here. It's been a few months but changing my oil today I'm pissed off. 1. Asked Them to have a look at my brakes and they said that not only do the pads need replacing but the caliper itself needs replacing because the pads are wearing unevenly *cough* BS!! Got home and replaced the brakes THEY WERE NOT WEARING UNEVENLY AND THE CALIPERS WERE FINE. 2. They WAY overtightened My oil plug. If it was the slightest tighter I would be getting a new oil pan. I really like getting my oil changed here. Virgil, who I think is the manager, is very nice and even remembered me from my last visit before scanning my car. They have always been honest, in my opinion, and just very friendly service. I didn't really /want/ to change my spark plugs, and they didn't pressure me, but when they showed my old ones to me, sheesh I'm glad they recommended it. Service was OK, but I don't know why anyone would go to Jiffy Lube, save for the reason I went. Their prices are out of sight. Amazingly, their prices are higher than dealer prices. Go figure!!! The reason I went here is because the nearby dealers couldn't take any more oil changes that day, and I wanted the change before driving well over 500 miles. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is that I didn't have to wait very long. The moral of my story is that I should have planned better to never get stuck this way again. read more

The staff here are discourteous and rude. They did no honor their own discount coupon with the manager telling me that even though I presented it to him, the cashier needed to be presented with it as well. The issue is that he never told me that prior to cashing out. They refused to correct it and the "manager" demonstrated his complete incompetence by doing nothing and saying that I was screwed and I could go. The staff displayed no knaowledge of civil behavior nor customer focused attitudes that Jiffy Lube claims to have. He further wouldn't tell me his name and the cashier said that I couldn't complain because I'd never fiind the owner! For the price of a discount coupon, they have purchsed many thousands of dollars in bad referrals to my family and friends with their rudeness and incompetence. I don't know if this location has had a change in management or what, but their service is horrible. I've been using this location for a few years and haven't had any issues. The last visit was extremely unsettling as I was informed that I had a transmission leak, told that my rear breaks were shot, and I requested my coolant to be topped off. So... I take my car to Aamco and come to find out that the transmission leak was a oil leak (don't know how you mess that up), rears breaks were in near perfect condition, and coolant was never filled up. Not sure what happened to this location, but will not be using them in the near future. They have the mentality of just pushing cars in and out and don't really know what they are doing. read more

I decided to get my oil changed at the last minute today, and paid the price. First, they upsold me ridiculously. I paid $87 (after a $5 coupon). Had I taken the time to research, I would have seen they offer a deal for $25, but my concern is they didn't post prices anywhere in the store and never mentioned any other options. When they said it would be 90 bucks, I was too dear-in-the-headlight to question it. Will definitely not be going back to a place that would rather up-sale you to overly expensive options without offering other deals or posting any pricing options for reference. The gentleman there made it seem like that was the only option for my car type; however, I researched it after the fact and discovered I could have gone for a standard $25 oil change. The free window "washing" was least of my worries, but still pertinent to the reputation of their service. Not that I expected my windows to be washed, but when I got in the car and found my windows were no cleaner and in fact had fresh water spots to accompany the still present bug splats, I would have preferred they left my windows alone for the $87 I paid for a $25 service. I usually go to Tires Plus down the road and should have stuck to my normal go-to. read more

Within 10 minutes I was out and it was honestly the best experience I've ever had getting an oil change. I have been going to jiffy lube for almost 15 years every six months.. I know the routine. I was only there for 20ish minutes... a woman pulled up two minutes after I did. She got the entire normal treatment. I didn't get told what May have been low on my car, I didn't get a check up, I wasn't showed my filters... nothing. Finally when checking out I asked why I didn't get shown anything and pretty much why I didn't "upselled" ( we all know they all always try to upsell you) the supposed manager pulled my filters out and showed them to me. While someone else is asking why I have an attitude about my service. Um because you apparently didn't do the service! I leave because now I just want to get out of there. I'm now in tears and shaking because I'm just completely stunned about the service I received so I take my car to the N. Carson St location and that's where I'll be going from now on! Everyone was there heard my story and did a full new inspection for me to make sure I feel safe on the road with my family! I went to Jiffy Lube because I had a coupon for 12 dollars off and left completely dissatisfied. They estimated my wait to be 30-45 minutes and I was there for over an hour and a half. They "cleaned" the windows and windshields and left streaks everywhere making it look worse than it did when I arrived. I got my tires rotated as well for an additional 12 dollars and overall paid almost $90 dollars which is more than I have ever paid for an oil change and tire rotation. When I drove home later that day on the freeway, my steering wheel was vibrating so bad so I called and they told me that they rotated the tires but didn't balance them. They in fact, do not balance tires there so I had to go to another location and had to pay an additional $65 to get them balanced. I was skeptical about going to a jiffy lube in the first place and wish that I had never gone. I spent more than $150 dollars when everything was said and done and spent over 4 hours taking time off work to get everything fixed. First off I would give this place negative 5 stars if I could. I went to get an oil change about a month ago they left my oil filter loose and messed up my engine due to not having any oil went to talk to them and file a claim and they don't want to admit fault. I was told by a mechanic my engine has problems DUE TO NO OIL and tow truck driver was the one who noticed my filter was loose when he towed my car after it broke down for having a LOOSE FILTER done by JIFFY LUBE. Did the oil change my self car magically worked again but engine had problems due to not having oil since they serviced it but like I said they don't want to admit fault wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and if you already got an oil change go check your filter right now! read more
