Came here for an oil change. Was the first one at the bay and was greeted by a pleasant gentleman, who opened my door for me to exit and proceeded to drive it into the bay for my service. I waited outside, since it was a nice cool morning. There was a bench to sit on as well. The interior, as with all locations, is small, but I was ready with my mask to enter when my vehicle was ready or if the weather took a nasty turn. Gentleman came to check in with me and I told him I just wanted a basic oil change, nothing more, nothing less. They will try to upsell you with a plethora of additional services that they offer. Am I mad at that? No, it's the business. Hey, I know everything about my vehicle and if I require those additional services, I'll make sure I get them. I had a coupon (who doesn't get those in the mail after a prior service?) and even after that, let me just say, the price of a basic oil change has gotten really expensive ($50 with the coupon). What happened to the $19.99 specials? All in all, a great location with great staff that I would visit again. read more

This location destroyed the master cylinder of my car, and refused to take ownership of the $500+ worth of damages to my vehicle. On February 9th I went in for an oil change, then on February 24th the master cylinder of my car went out causing the brakes of the vehicle to be no longer responsive. Putting my life and countless others at risk. Prior to February 9th the brakes on my vehicle were completely fine. This was because the jiffy lube location mixed incorrect fluids in my vehicle. When I brought my car to a different mechanic he showed evidence of a different mix of liquids in the blake fluids. (Which you can clearly see different fluids in the attached photo) I filed a customer complaint and today I spoke with Nick from the catonsville jiffy lube 667-231-9648. who refused to do anything about it. He said lines such as "we would never make a mistake like this." Followed by "I have gotten dozens of complaints like this" then continue to say "I know we don't hire the brightest guys." He kept shutting me down and refusing that his location would ever do anything wrong. They have still done nothing about this. Do not go to this jiffy lube location. read more

Which I was fine doing but said that the route to change that lamp was via the tire well. He then said if you know how to do it why at you here and you should do it yourself. I recently did not receive great service nor customer service. My lug nut was damaged and I was informed that it was due to normal wear and tear. I asked why didn't you all stop, and I was informed they did. How did you stop, or did you proceed and noticed it was broke at the end and you knew you had to inform me. The rep was unprofessional and unapologetic. The rep was actually rude from the time I stepped into the establishment. I went in for an oil change and they told me I had to get my brake pads changed, that mine were completely gone and I was running metal on metal and it was unsafe. I declined and took my car to my regular shop where they checked and assured me my brake pads were fine. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went to this location for an oil change. My car was running fine before arriving. I paid $35 (using a coupon and ignoring the ridiculous additional suggestions they recommended at insane prices). When I left my car was making all sorts of sounds. I came home and checked my oil to discover that my oil was never changed. I should've read their reviews before going to this location to realize that they have a record of taking advantage of women and elderly. I tried calling and spoke with Nick who claimed to be the manager. His explanation is that I probably just don't get my car serviced regularly (which is not true) and it's normal for oil to be this color after an oil change. I brought this new car to me that I had recently acquired for the second time for an oil change and a tire rotation. The first time was for TPMS wheel installation (I wish I had paid more attention when that was done). Right after this was done I drove home and took a look at the engine bay and the tires just to make sure which wheel was where and about the overall work, just to find that the underside of the car was all bent from improperly lifting the car. I immediately drove back to the place, where I was told the following morning the manager was going to contact me. Such manager indeed contacted me to ask me that I bring my car back to the shop so they could rest and see if the lift they used did the damage, I immediately brought the car over to the place. Once here I found a so called owner who from the very beginning was very unapologetic and very rude and dismissive, and even racist given the fact that I am of Latino origin and English is not my native language. I was always very cordial and respectful since I just wanted to have a just treatment given the damage to my car. They did not want to try to lift the car completely but by just placing the car in their bay you can clearly see that the damaged places line up exactly with the lift they use. Even after all that the owner just denied any responsibility and told me that he was done with me. While this is happening, I guess as a way to intimidate me, several if not all of the workers there just lined up behind the owner and tried to bully me out of there. The manager told me to get out of the way because he was going to move my car out and told me to get out of there. I'm a short, 160lb Latino guy, so feeling threatened by at least 6 people surrounding me I had no choice but to leave. I would not be saying this if I were not certain this happened here, I love my car and I take great care of it. It is amazing what they can get away with. read more

I have been to Jiffy Lube before, but never have I experienced customer service like i did yesterday. When I pulled up the gentleman asked me what service i needed. When i got out of the car he opened the door for me. I had an seat. I waited until my vehicle type was called and provided them with my information. The man made sure i knew what type of oil I need and why. I was able to able to use a coupon. After the discussion with the gentleman, i was done in about 15 minutes. The service is fast, and no one tries to scam me into any services. On the contrary, they are super honest and let me know what I could do cheaper on my own with the right know how. Did you know that they can change your brake pads now?? So that's oil changes in minutes, tire rotations, and now brake pads! They now offer so many services for your car. Wednesday's are ladies day and you get discounts for your oil change and other services like 4% and that's good! I really enjoy going there to have my car, Smurfette, serviced because the staff is so attentive and efficient. I have to specifically highlight Alex since he is amazing!! All of the guys are helpful and quick to get things done and they always vacuum the floors! I even stop by whenever my tires are low and they fill my tires without hesitation! I advise AGAINST visiting the Jiffy Lube located in Catonsville, MD. During my recent visit for an oil change, they claimed that my car needed a new serpentine belt. I eventually agreed to have the belt changed, but shortly after leaving the Jiffy Lube, I started hearing a ringing noise coming from my engine compartment whenever my car was idle. Additionally, there was an even louder screeching sound every time I turned the steering wheel. Upon inspecting my vehicle, I found out that one of the tools used during the serpentine belt replacement was left inside the engine compartment. When I returned to Jiffy Lube with my car, they refused to fix the problem and even demanded extra payment. I then took my car to another mechanic for an inspection, and was informed that the part Jiffy Lube was going to replace and charge me over $270 for was not even the correct part. My vehicle did not have these issues prior to being serviced at Jiffy Lube. read more

I decided not to pay their outrageous price for that and took my car to my mechanic. He called to inform me that Jiffy Lube lied to me and my brakes are fine. This is a great jiffy lube. Where I'm from the jiffy lubes aren't too great but around this area they are wonderful. Fast service great price and friendly workers. I got my breaks done here and I was in and out within 20 minutes. I feel that the people who work here and honest and didn't try and sell me things I didn't need. read more

The service manager Kenneth was very accommodating with an error with my groupon and also provided me additional discounts since I needed more work than expected. The mechanic was very polite and explained the recommendations in a way that I understood. I felt valued and felt the staff were wonderful. The clientele, on the other than, were less than respectful as they brought their entire family of 5 to wait in the waiting room with their bucket of chicken and sides. Others took phone calls in the small space. I know that's not necessarily jiffy lube's problem but they could encourage a more peaceful and respectful space for all in the waiting room as there were some who had to stand or wait outside due to the family occupying the seats. read more

Grandad taught me that regular oil changes were the key to vehicle longevity. As a result, I've visited quite a variety of Jiffy Lube locations. At least 7 within the DMV region. I like the fact that my pertinent information is accessible at any location, making auto maintenince convenient. What I have noticed is that there is absolutely a discernible range in the quality of customer service. A very odd lack of managerial consistency. As a matter of fact, after a frustrating visit to the Ashburn Virginia location, I swore to never return to any JL again. Unfortunately, the dreaded oil light came on so I was compelled to temporarily suspend my protest. Very happy I did because the resultant experience was my best by far Customer service is king here! The customer service that I receive every time I come into Jiffy Lube is exceptional. I don't even put my car in park and someone comes up to me asking how may they help me. And then asks am I on my way to work so for anyone that is on their way to work come here they will get you in and out and not only if your on your way to work but even on your day off. The men here are very respectful from opening doors to communicating with you all while waiting. (And there's FREE coffee) The store manager is very professional, and helpful (oh and FINE) for us woman who doesn't know a whole lot about cars. They don't pressure you to buy unnecessary things for your car however, he'll tell you what you really need so you can get your car back healthy because our cars are like bodies and they need tender loving care. We also need to take care of our car as if it was our health. I live paycheck to paycheck but it's worth keeping your car healthy. First off I'm use to staying in my car for oil change but they vacuum car so ok. Someone that pulled in after me was done BEFORE me even though I expressed that I was headed to work. They recommended wipers which I purchased because I knew I needed them. I drive a lot as travel nurse and get changes and filters done frequently..... they go per script and try to sale me those too. I decline. I am aware that I need a new battery but now all of a sudden my car won't stay started??? How about you stick to oil changes. Not only will my car not stay started but once you convince/force me to purchase battery you don't even have one in stock. The clock is ticking and I still have to go to work. Came here because they honored the Groupon I purchased. The guys were very courteous. They weren't crowded when we came in but soon people starting pouring in. The men in the back worked hard to get everyone out although I was not planning on spending any money (since I brought the Groupon) I walked out spending $145 I needed a new battery and air filter. That sucked but glad I got it done. The wait time wasn't bad.. and after everyone's car was finished one of the gentlemen personally opened the door and walked each customer to their cars.(lol he even opened the doors and had the heat on)!!! Needed an oil change and got a groupon for the service. They open early (7:30) and I popped in before work. Complete in about 30 minutes. Alex was great, my air filters were pretty bad (hadn't had them changed in a while and he brought them out to me) and got those changed as well. Great experience from start to finish (always a plus when your interior gets vacummed and windows washed too) I will be sure to return due to the high quality service and convenience! Frederick Rd is my go-to location now that my car is out of warranty. The guys are very courteous. They open car doors and the store door for the ladies. I don't feel like they are trying to get me for my money with unnecessary services. I got an oil change on Friday but then my oil pressure light came on starting on Sunday while out of town. I called Tuesday morning and Paul told me to come in. When I got there, the gentleman told me "we have been waiting for you." I went in yesterday for an oil change and the staff were very courteous. Since moving to Baltimore I have not had my car serviced, and overall the staff were very kind (until something goes wrong). Apparently synthetic oil is approximately 93 dollars plus tax, and since I had an appointment at the dealership to have my air-conditioning fixed the following day, decided to leave. The manager and I spoke about this (or I assume he was the manager as he was working the front office) and he told me I could probably get the oil changed for less at the dealership. The gentlemen performing the maintenance had already pulled my car into the shop, but of course I had decided to go elsewhere. While driving back to Baltimore my car starts smoking, and after popping the hood I find that there is oil everywhere and the oil cap is just lying there. This resulted in my car being towed to the dealership. I attempted to call the Jiffy Lube but they have told me that I did not stop there to get my oil changed and suggesting I go somewhere else would have been "unprofessional". There is a thing called Google maps and you can put a man on the ground to actually get a street view of the business.... so yes this was the correct jiffy lube. read more

They appear to have changed management lately, and last time I was there, I made sure my antifreeze was topped off before I left the house, because the company now charges for that service. Nevertheless, not only did they "top off" the antifreeze without my permission, but they charged me for a service they didn't even perform. Sad excuse for business ethics. Not recommended. read more

The man working the front desk was a gentleman. People greeted others using "sir" and "ma'am". Workers were seen cleaning the lobby and refilling water in the Keurig. They did the full service oil change, vacuum, wiped the rain of my car, cleaned windows, and the tire rotation. They recommend everything the manufacturer recommends for you to do on your car but they don't pressure any extra purchases. I used a Groupon with no trouble. Overall, excellent service, clean and safe. Will return! read more
