Excuse me? If the advertised price is $79 is basically just the oil change and everything else gets tacked on afterward, SAY THAT UP FRONT. Don't advertise an oil change for $79 and then surprise customers with additional charges at checkout. If the real price is $100, advertise $100. It's that simple. And to make it worse, they didn't reset the oil-change warning light, didn't put a mileage sticker on the windshield, and didn't tell me whether anything else on the car needed attention. So what exactly was I paying extra for? I'm not upset that a filter costs money. I'm upset about surprise charges and poor communication. If there are additional fees, disclose them when the customer asks for the price--not when they're standing at the register with no choice but to pay. Next time, just advertise the actual price instead of baiting customers with $79 and adding charges at checkout. No one likes surprise fees, and it's not a complicated concept: state the damn price up front.

After explaining the situation, the woman who answered the phone told me to bring it right in. When I arrived, Matthew was at the desk and immediately said he'd take care of it--he even offered to have the woman I spoke to earlier drive me home if needed. Despite being clearly busy, they had my car fixed within an hour and a half that same day. I'm 7 months pregnant and was feeling overwhelmed, but Matthew's kindness and calm demeanor truly meant the world to me. He could tell I was stressed (even I know he was probably stressed himself with the busyness of the shop) and went above and beyond to help.
