These guys are LIFESAVERS! WILL is my go-to guy. I have had really bad luck with Chicago potholes and getting flat tires. Ironically, whenever I do get a flat Im a block from this location. They are so nice and really quick with helping me change out a spare- which someone recently told me Jiffy lube doesn't usually do! I usually pull up frazzled and ready to cry and the whole crew here does a great job of making me laugh and calming me down. We currently have a running joke that I need to hire one of them as my driver because I have literally been to this location 4 times in the past 9 months because of my tires. I highly recommend to take your car here for any needs. You can grab a bite to eat at Little Bad Wolf while you wait. You wont be disappointed! read more

I had called and set up an appointment for a break job at 10 AM, and was told by Marc that they would be able to get me in right away and when I showed up today to get my brakes done they said they had another brake job ahead of me and I would have to wait more than two hours longer than what I was told. It's my go-to Jiffy Lube... for no other reason besides it's the closest to our home. Every time I've been in it's been hella Jiffy (pun intended). They always want me to replace my air filters or get something-or-another flushed but I just tell them "no thanks" and let my trusted mechanic handle the rest. Multiple visits here and have always received good customer service and a quality oil change. Quite honestly, they could keep the same oil in there and I likely wouldn't know the difference... In all seriousness though, staff has always been professional, opens the door to the waiting area, and offers a fresh cup of oil change place coffee. Plus a vacuum of the interior, fluids topped off, and quick service overall. Best to make a right turn out of the garage once service is completed as the left turn is directly into the Bryn Mawr traffic light and there often isn't much room to make that turn. Plus cars heading north on Ashland make for a sometimes tricky exit. Wow that paragraph makes me sound old. Keep up the good work, guys. read more

I had a horrible flat tire and had to bring my car there to get a spare on. They ordered me a new tire as well. When they were putting on the new tire, they opened the back of my car and completely broke my rear hatch and left a huge dent. After they finished putting the tire on, they closed the hatch and never said anything to me about it in the hopes that I wouldn't notice (I did). When I confronted them about it, they tried saying it was like that when it came in, but finally admitted that they did break it. They said they would get it fixed for me, but it's been 2 weeks and it still is not fixed. My sister got her tires rotated there the same day, and they lost one of her lugnuts. I have had nothing but horrible experiences here. read more

Quick update - since Chicago decided it wanted a bit of spring weather this winter. I was able to confirm that the windshield wiper fluid they put in my car was in fact frozen, as it began working again when the temps went back up this week. What a silly thing to lose a customer over and likely indicative of bigger corners they cut. read more

It was close to home. The short wait was not bad. The employees were polite. had no problems.

I had my oil supposedly refilled at this location less than a month ago, with the more expensive synthetic option. Less than two weeks later my car started to make scraping noises when accelerating a low speeds. I took it to my trusted auto body shop where I was informed that there was zero oil in my engine, there were no issues with a leak or other reason for the discrepancy, and that this isn't the first car they've seen just "topped off" and falsely charged full price. If I could give no stars I would. Leaving a comment on here so no one ever gets ripped off from this place. Go anywhere else. I took my car in and they replaced spark plug and the ignition coil and a week later I was still experiencing the same issues so I took it back in they verified that it was all okay. Then a week after i could tell nothing was fixed. So then took it to Toyota and then I was told I was given bad part and nothing was fixed. Absolutely horrible experience at this place. Please save your money and the stress and go anywhere else. This place just wants to take peoples money. I am absolutely disgusted. Do better! read more

Came here for a simple oil change a couple of months ago. Of course they found other things "wrong" and tried to upcharge the crap out of me. Cut to the heat of the last couple of weeks and trying to use my AC, only to find it's not working. Then my check engine light comes on, along with several other warning lights. Then the car refuses to start. I had to have it towed to my normal mechanic (Pep Boys in Skokie, who I do recommend) and they inform me that the coolant cap is MISSING and the air hose is completely disconnected. They say It likely didn't start affecting things until I started trying to use my AC in the recent heat. Have to pay an arm and a leg now to have things fixed that were NOT BROKEN before going to this Jiffy Lube. No one else has been under my hood since. Other reviews mention similar problems. DO NOT GO HERE! Incredibly irresponsible and dangerous. I wish I could get back the money I paid them and make them cover the current repairs. read more

First off, I've been to other Jiffy Lubes in the Chicagoland area, and have always had great service. Much less so this time. I took my car there for an oil change on December 23. They also recommended a new battery, and I agreed. About a block after leaving, I noticed the door ajar light on the dash was on, as well as the dome lights. After doing a quick check to make sure all my doors were shutting properly, I took the car back to Jiffy Lube. The technicians first said the cause was the front passenger door being closed on the belt buckle. Then it was related to the new battery that had just been installed. Then one of the techs eventually figured out that the metal around the door sensor on the driver's side was damaged, likely from the door being slammed on the seat belt buckle in the door. This was not an issue before I brought the car in that morning. I was asked to take the car to a specific mechanic down the street to determine whether this was the technicians' fault or not. The techs said they would cover the damage if it was actually their fault, but at this point, it was clear they were trying to back away from being responsible for this. I was dubious about taking the car to their suggested mechanic, all things considered, but I still tried. The mechanic was less than helpful in our brief interaction, so I took the car to a dealership service garage. They confirmed the metal around the door sensor had been damaged, and they made the repair within a couple of hours. No big deal in the end. That said, it was a couple of hours in my day I hadn't planned for, so I had to take an Uber from and back to the service garage so I could take care of some personal matters at home while the repair was being made. I reached out to Jiffy Lube through their social media customer service, who put me in touch with the owner of this individual location, Ron. I called Ron, recounted what happened, and asked for compensation for the repair, plus transportation to and from the dealership garage. He agreed, and told me to e-mail him my receipts, which I did. Yesterday, I receive a check for the repair only, but not the transportation costs as requested. It's a small matter - about $18 - but this is simply bad business. Had Ron sent me the full amount requested, this could have been written off, and I would have returned there for service in the future. Instead, Ron tried to save a few bucks, resulting in a bad review, and a guaranteed lost customer. read more

First let's start by saying the assistant Manager is the most respectful worker there, he's always fully explaining what I would need on my car .Honestly if it wasn't for him this job would not function because all my experiences here most employees are always asking him how to do things. But on the other hand Dave he's just been the worst always trying to flirt with me just to get to get other services done and it just makes me feel very uncomfortable to there sometimes. The Store manager needs to start taking accountability for how his employees work and think why his workers are lazy and don't know how to do things their selves instead of always trying to shift blame on other workers. I'll continue coming here as long as the assistant Manager is there because he's the only reliable one. read more

I had been remiss. I was about three months overdue time wise, but several hundred miles underdue, mile wise. Still I took ol' Charlotte in for an oil change. First I called from work to see if I could make an appointment, knowing I'd be there around 6:30 and that they close at 7. I was told by a niceish dude that I didn't need an appointment, and that an oil change would only take about 15-20 minutes. In my experience, that is true only when there are no other customers waiting. I put on my skeptical spectacles but went anyway. It was true! I pulled in and knew it was about 6:39:59 and was prepared for some lame excuse about closing, but they were happy to take care of me. The oil change did take probably 10 minutes, which was as long as I needed to read the interview in the back of the book club book before the meeting at the Edgewater at 7 (shout out!). I was able to read in spite of the thickly-accented and highly excitable man in the waiting room who shouted the answer to the "Wheel of Fortune" puzzle. Give everyone a chance next time, man. However, all is not well with Charlotte, which is a chronic state and source of much regret. The technician called me out to demonstrate that there was a problem with my hood. As in, it does not open due to a latch piece being loose. This will have to be fixed and this will cost me yet more benjamins. It's not his fault; he was just the messenger. Overall, it was a highly decent errand. The three employees I encountered were polite and speedy, and no one tried to sell me some needless upgrade. Also, bonus points for the magazine rack containing several recent issues of TimeOut Chicago, but not the current sex special. Good call. (There's a lube joke in there but I'm too much of a lady.) Nick's curiosity... How did they come up with the name Jiffy Lube (insert day dream music now)? A man named Ed (his actual name) was playing with his car when all of a sudden it started making these strange noises (like hiss, tink, and gurgle gurgle. Yep, you've heard those sounds before). Ed realized he needed to change the oil. As he is doing so he realizes that he loves doing this and could do it for others for a small fee. Ed said "But what to call his place"?! Just then, his dear friend Lubert walks in eating a jar of peanut butter. Lubert accidentally spills Ed's oil everywhere then slips and falls but of course is still holding his peanut butter. Ed can't stop laughing (of course because people falling is funny), looking at his friend sliding around on the floor. Ed pauses (you know like Huge Laurie does in House) and get's a idea, he reads the brand of peanut butter and looks at his friend... of course Jiffy Lube!!! And that's how it happened!!** Wow, sounds like some bad experiences with this location. I've taken my car in a handful of times without any problems. They tried to get pushy about doing some maintenance with them but no big deal. I wouldn't say that their amazing but it's a oil change place what do you want?! Lazy, lazy, lazy. I pulled in at 330pm on a Sunday and the manager rejected me and 2 other cars behind me for service because they closed at 4pm. All of the bay areas were empty! Looks like this location wanted to leave right at 4pm. Maybe they should change their store hours to 330pm on Sundays? It seems like this location does not care about profits or customer service. I was able to take my car in at Just Tires down the street on Broadway at 345pm and they were able to finish my oil change in 15 minutes! Looks like Jiffy Lube has lost a customer! read more

I come to this location from Belmont Cragin whenever possible. I don't like any of the Jiffy Lube locations close to me. They absolutely suck! Always spending 5 minutes trying to persuade me to purchase xtra services and the people seem to always be in a bad mood. I don't have time for that! Do NOT go to this place for ANY reason... They just screwed up my car and cost me $200 because they were determined to check my air filter (AFTER I SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM TO ONLY CHANGE THE OIL) and didn't bother putting my air box back together correctly... I had to take the car (which at the time had 19,000 miles on it) into the dealer to find out after it about broke down on the interstate on Christmas night... not covered under warranty because those idiots did it... Oh, and the lady working the check-out counter was going on and on incessantly about her manic depressive son who moved back in with her to some other customer... had to hear all about it... and he's off his meds. Just a generally TERRIBLE experience. It's only the dealership for my oil change needs from now on. At least there I have some recourse if they screw my car up. read more

Frauds. I drive my car for checking the noise from the front tires. They asked me to wait in waiting area. After 20 min they said I should change the alternator because the car is dead. How they did in half an hour they made my car junk. It is not starting at all. They are saying, it is my car had problems. Ohh no! Be aware they r frauds. Today was my last visit to this Jiffy Lube. I drive to one farther away and now I remember why. I pulled up to the garage and one of the "workers" was so busy texting on the phone that he couldn't bother to assist me. Another worker walked by and then he finally came and pulled my car in. This often happens here - they obviously don't want your business. Second I saw the guy come in and say to a girl "can we top off the anti-freeze?" and she said Sure. Only then did she find out how expensive it was. Not before. She should have asked but it looked shady to me. Then I get called out and the guy working there starts mumbling and barely speaking. mumble muble anifriz mumble muble. I was so annoyed that he wasn't TALKING. I said "What?" More mumbling "change the transmission fluid" mumble muble "anti-freeze" - I said how much "$79 and..." - I said NO! I didn't trust him AT ALL. Such bad service. Then I paid and the same guy was totally unfriendly. Didn't explain my bill or what I was charged for. The entire time I was treated like they didn't want me as a customer. (and I felt they were scamming people with upsells). I will NEVER go to this place again. NEVER. It's a blight on the neighborhood. I will add the next time I took my car to a mechanic they said it looked like they had never even changed the oil. just topped it off. read more

As I was pulling away from my oil change today, I did my usual check of my console and glove box (following any auto repair trip) to discover my change pouch missing. To the service person who stole it, I hope the $4 in quarters brings you a lifetime of happiness. How do I know it was taken while at this Jiffy Lube? Perhaps because I pulled in at the end of a 5-hour trip from Ohio, during which I used change from this pouch no less than five times at tolls. Curiously, there was also an odd plastic part, from somewhere on my dash, inside the glove box that hadn't been there previously. I won't be returning to this business again. That's ok. Well, the oil change and windshield wiper replacement took less than 15 minutes, so that was good. The one star rating is because they messed the car up and their shoddy handiwork could've gotten us killed. First problem was after we left Jiffy Lube the parking brake was engaged and couldn't be disengaged, which had never happened before. We drove back to have them fix it and the mechanic said is was because the brake line was dirty and had nothing to do with the oil change. Doesn't entirely make sense because the car ran perfectly before we went there, but whatever. He took off a wheel to clean the cable and didn't charge us for it, which was nice. However, now our parking brake doesn't work at all, but at least the car is drivable. Wait - there's more! We stopped for gas halfway down to Missouri to celebrate Christmas with the family and as we were heading back to the Interstate we heard this funny sound like "la-blup-la-blup-la-blup". The sound was coming from the back wheel, so we took off the hubcap to see what was going on, only to learn that the mechanic at Jiffy Lube only finger tightened the wheel bolts. They were so loose the wheel was about to fall off! We properly tightened them with a wrench and were thankful that we heard the noise before getting on the highway. Having a wheel fall off going 70 mph on a crowded interstate would not have been good. Stay away from this place!!! read more

Atrocious experience! I went in for an oil change and a tire rotation and left with a tire leak and flat tire. Seriously, I drove two blocks back to my home and my tire was flat. After immediately returning to the shop, the manager denied that they had anything to do with the flat. I asked for a refund and was told to "get the hell out of here." I promised him I wouldn't be back. Just Tires fixed the leak for free. read more

This is my first yelp review, I honestly didn't think I'd ever use this website but the employees at this Jiffy Lube were super helpful, they gave me different options for price points with both the oil change and the windshield wipers I needed to replace. Last time I went elsewhere for an oil change they didn't have the air filters in stock but this JL location had everything I needed and were very friendly. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Wow, that really was a "jiffy". I have been to other Jiffy Lubes before and had to wait several hours and or make an appointment and then wait but not here. Right in and right out. They told me all the things that I was going to need relatively soon and specifically told me the things I had recently replaced or had done elsewhere were in good shape so I didn't get the feeling they were trying to get me to do shit I didn't need. I got an oil change and a transmission flush in what ever amount of time it took me to read about some mob wedding in the Sun Times so like 8 minutes or something. I brought my own air filter and cabin filter which I bought off Amazon. They installed them for free. Of course they told me my anti-freeze was running low. Since I've had my car that seems to continually ail from something, every time there's a squeak, thump, or jolt, a little dread sets in right at the pit of my stomach. "Car related" things have become like pulling teeth for me, so when I knew I was overdue for an oil change, I just had to grit my teeth and bear it. I took the ol' girl to Jiffy Lube and I'll tell ya, I was pleasantly surprised. Like ripping off a band-aid, my trip in there was relatively painless. It was deserted when I pulled up at 12:30pm on a Thursday. A friendly guy (a manager-type, I'm guessing, by the polo shirt as opposed to the jumpsuits of everyone else) came up and took 'er in. In the end, it turned out I needed another fluid changed pretty badly so my total bill was more than expected but that wasn't their problem. And, I'll tell ya, that job was done *lightning* fast. I barely read 3 pages in my book before they called me. As I walked out I said to the guy, "Wow...that was incredibly fast." To which he replied, "Well...we *are* called 'Jiffy Lube." It could've been a commercial. If my engine drops out because of this visit I'll let you know, but I think we'll be all good. Proceed to Jiffy Lube. They're quick. read more
