Do not go here. They screwed up my oil pan causing $1000 worth of damages and refused to make it right

A while back I had my oil changed there. They were fast, I'll give them the jiffy part. However, when I subsequently had to take my car in to a proper mechanic (who has since become my regular mechanic), he advised me that they had not properly done things and had left my car in danger of having oil leak out. One shouldn't have to wonder whether something as straightforward as an oil change is being done correctly at a place that exists primarily for that purpose, but here we are. read more

Tony at this Jiffy Lube gets off on yelling at his customers despite leaving them in the dark and not giving instructions whether or not someone should drive forward or stop, or turn the engine, but he will certainly yell at someone like they are a moron, if they happen to do something he doesn't like, I can't help wonder what he is making up for. I had to come out and explain something to them about a mistake they made last time to make sure it doesn't happen again. (They tried to put the most premium oil in my car and I never approved it) and they looked at me and acred like I was annoying and stupid. They just suck here. This place is hit or miss with customer service. Last time it was great. This time. It sucked, last time before that it sucked. I can't ever convince my husband to come here. I frequent this location and have been coming here for years, but today will be my last day using Jiffy Lube. Timothy and Brice were awesome and very helpful but the Team Lead Darrell C was very unwelcoming and unpleasant. It's never what you say to a customer but how you say it. Darrell C came off very rude. This location won't see anymore of my money. If you are the team lead you need to know how to respectfully speak with customers. I took my wife's car to the Jiffy Lube in College Park (Store 390) for Signature Service and they were not open at 8:01am when I rolled up to one of their bay entrances even though their website stated they were open at 8:00am EDT on Friday. The place was dark. I went to another Jiffy Lube in Beltsville instead (Store 891) where I got excellent service and also learned there was a $10 discount coupon available on the Jiffy Lube website that the folks at the other location never bothered to mention, even though we were paying for the Premium Synthetic Oil with every Signature Service! read more

Number and sat in the waiting room.. my vehicle was completed in a very short time, but the bill was 248.54$ Without showing me or asking for my permission, they changed the air filter 19.99$ cabin air filter 49.99$ changed my wipers 59.98. And used premium synthetic oil 99.99$ I have used jiffy lube for many years, but this is the first time I was taken advantage of. I was the only customer in the store. I had an oil change performed at the College Park location a few months ago. While checking one of my air filters, which required entering glove box,my cell phone was stolen. I alerted the customer service, then spoke with the general manager. They never took responsibility, only stated they couldn't see it being taken on camera. Just a heads up to anyone thinking of using this facility. I was very surprised with the lack of professionalism. I will never use them again. Be aware if you decide to use this location. read more

They got to me quickly and efficiently, serviced my car quickly (and yes, I even went to the Rita's across the street because why not!), and to my surprise, they even gave her a nice lil vacuum out (which saved me from going to a car wash), topped off fluids, and put air in my tires (also something that needed to be done). If that weren't enough, Antonio asked if he should change the filters and since I recently got this car used, I wasn't sure when they'd last been changed. So what was so great about it? He showed me the dirty filters and even showed me the clean ones before he put them in so I knew he wasn't pulling one over on me. After my haircut across the street I remembered my oil change light came on. I went to Jiffy Lube as I have with all my Cadillacs and other cars over the years. I have been going to this one for many years. They offer fast efficient service. They reset my oil life indicator and put the change oil mileage sticker in the window. They informed me of a need the change my cabin filter. And let me know that the air filter was okay. The service attendants were polite and effective. This is every consumers dream for a visit to get their oil change done and it's fast, done correctly. Their pricing is 40% below for what I would of paid at Honda. I've been going to this location since 2011 like clock work. So I was completely disappointed when today during a regular Signature Service Oil Change an attempt to rip me off took place. I know the drill usually after a bit someone will talk to me and ask if I would like to do a few extra things. One of which is sometimes showing me how dirty my air filter is and explaining that a new filter does affect gas mileage. Well I replaced my air filter just 10 days earlier. So when I noticed one guy opening up and looking at it and telling another guy it's clean. The other guy came over and lifted it and without looking at it said something to the first guy. A minute later the first guy walks towards my car with a new filter. I then had to explain that there was no way my filter was dirty enough to change and showed them the receipt from 10 days ago. The second guy said he was going off the "ticket". So I get the bill and the filter is on my bill. They then take back my credit card and run it for the right price. So now I have two charges on my account. It just makes me mad that they were just gonna change out a 10 day old filter without asking me like usual. Something they wouldn't have done today because it's new and didn't need replacing. read more

I had a lunch break oil change today at this location. As always, I was crystal-clear right from the start that I wasn't interested in any upselling or other services. No fancy oil, no replacement air filter, no engine flush. After some very minimal and unobtrusive efforts to pad the bill a bit, Antoine got me in and out as quickly and efficiently as possible, given that it appeared to be a busy afternoon. I've always liked the fact that the technician personally escorts you to your car and closes the door for you. A girl could get used to that. I knocked off a full star for the state of the bathroom. Goodness gracious, Jiffy Lube. I realize that I have to keep my expectations in check at places like this, but surely we can do better than that. I'm still washing my hands. read more

There's not much to say since I've only been here once, but it was really busy when I went so there was a long wait. I sat in their waiting room and played on my phone while they changed the oil. Everything was convenient and strait forward, and the workers did their jobs well. I wish I had gone at a different time to avoid the wait, but it was a necessary visit. I would've given 5/5 if the workers were a bit more friendly and accommodating, and if it didn't take an hour, but other than that, it wasn't a bad experience. I went in to get the "routine" maintenance that they suggested (the fuel system cleaning) and because they didn't run my car afterward to clear the air in the line my car shut down on me in traffic! Imagine my horror when my car just shut off at every stop light! When i took my car into the dealer to look at it they said all Jiffy lube had to do was run it a bit to clear any air that could have been left in the line after they finished.... I generally hate Jiffy Lubes, even the name makes me uncomfortable, but this one was so great that I had to rate it. My experience started out kind of rocky since it took them 15 minutes to even get to me and then the guy thought I was some other asian lady he knew.... ni haoo not all asian women look the same -___- but he quickly realized and apologized so it was cool. I told them my low engine oil light was on and they topped off all of my oils, fluids, and other liquids like jiffy lube promises to do (did it quickly), wiped off my mirrors/handles, asked if I wanted coffee, didn't once try to push me into buying another service or car thing that I didn't need (other locations always do), and on top of that opened ran (yes literally ran) to open all doors for me. Wow. Stay away. They have some really low class employees there. My girlfriend took our car here a while ago and the employees made her feel "like a piece of meat for sale." She let it be known several times that this was her "boyfriend's car", but that seemed to encourage the boorish behavior, with one employee openly hitting on her. Another employee even made a sexually suggestive remark to her. What sealed the deal for us was when she witnessed an employee go around behind the building and urinate on the wall. This is where I get my oil changed. I bought a used car in 2011 and the owner before me used Jiffy Lube, so they have the records for my car. But I have used this Jiffy Lube for 2 years now, and they have quick service and no funny business. They will top off your fluids and your tires if you got your last oil change there, and once they even accidentally changed my oil when I was only in for a tire fill-up, and they didn't charge me for it. Take a book if you stop by on a weekend, but even if you are the 3rd, 4th car in line, they work fast and keep the line moving. There is a TV in the waiting room and usually coffee. read more
