I went in yesterday to have my oil changed . Unfortunately it was pretty lousy experience. When I pulled up there was one car ahead of me and there were 4 bays that I think had cars in all of them . I think it took around 10 minutes before I pulled in . The guy helping me tried to add on additional services like filters, a new battery ( this one is 2yrs old ) and flushing the radiator. I appreciated his pointing these things out after I showed him my car had failed inspection for an issue w/ a problem with #4 cylinder and some other things . I declined everything and just went with the oil changed and an additional $4 dollar charge to top off radiator fluid which I thought was part of the $117.00 charge. * no tires checked , no vacuuming, no windows cleaned - noted bc Jiffy Lube does this or at least they used to . Anyway .... The real problem was their card reader couldn't read my debt card. After numerous attempts, and 2 different ppl trying to help, I called my bank . I was on the phone with them for a while and they couldn't see any problem on their end . Unfortunately I didn't bring anything with me except my license and debt card and after what felt like an eternity I finally walked over to Home Depot and bought a lanyard and got cash back . I walked back over and the manager took my payment and she apologized and said they have problems with other cards too . If that's the case they really need to address it or at least let ppl know in advance, post it on their advertising maybe . Fortunately I was off yesterday otherwise I'd have been pissed wasting over an hour there. I think I'll stick with jiffy lube in the future . read more

This station overfilled the oil in my car. I had to take my car to the dealership for a diagnostic test and they told me Valvoline put too much out in my car. Instead of 4.9 the dealership drain 6.8 quarts of oil from my car. My car had to be towed or it would have caused extreme damage to the engine as I was out of town when several sensors came on in my car. I will never go to this location again or refer to my friends. They have done nothing to rectify this by refunding my money. read more

Calling it "nice" doesn't even come close! I had an amazing experience. The two gentlemen who assisted me did a wonderful job Bryant and Dwyane (please forgive me if I butchered the spelling or the names entirely; my memory likes to take surprise vacations ). From the moment I drove into the garage, I was met with incredible service. They were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely pleasant. Let's just say that I made a huge mistake by deciding to try this place with my 2021 vehicle. My car has only been serviced at the dealership until today. Going forward, I'll be returning to the dealership for my oil change and maintenance needs. Asked for an oil change and tire rotation and was told that the rotation machine was broken! Huh? Um. Okay. (Im a woman but know that there is no tire rotation machine.) I should've pulled off at that moment but I'm already committed and have been waiting 30mins. (Another story for another time). Grand finale.... Oil change without tire rotation $114.00. The same oil change WITH a tire rotation is $109.00. And the dealership also has a dedicated lane just for oil changes. Sent my son in for an conventional oil change, the technician refused to do it , up charging to a synthetic blend . They also would not honor the coupon that was online initially, then he tried to upcharge for a transmission flush because of the high mileage . He was informed that the transmission had just been replaced , and then asked did they change the oil in the transmission . We will not be coming back . read more

I had a pretty good experience at this particular location. It is at the crossroads of a couple different communities so that may be the reason it was particularly busy the day I visited. The techs were prompt, professional, took safety precautions and didn't try to upsell a ton of extras. They were attentive to small details and did well with the services I requested. I only wish the lifts were functioning so I could have my tires rotated too. The price is was fair, I'll visit again if I can get it all done at once. read more

It's simple at Valvoline you are paying for the gimmick of technicians yelling back and forth about the uncomplicated oil change and yes you should be in and out in 15 minutes or less... ...but at a price! The basic service is not cheap so please always take a minute and go online to find a coupon or two. The service before all the recommendations range from $50ish to $100ish. can someone say CRAZY?!?! And by the way when I left today i hear this loud knocking...all the yelling they did to "confirm" everything was okay and the didn't put my oil plate on properly so I had to turn around and go back. Needless to say I won't be back. I'd rather go to Precision Auto Tune and pay $20 less for service and get all of Valvoline's extras in the charge or even my dealer is cheaper and they won't mess up like Valvoline did. Buyer beware! Valvoline responded to my above message above on 9/16/19. I appreciate that. I doubt I'll reach out to them but do want to acknowledge their professionalism in reaching out about my concern. This business is always hit or miss. They rarely check my tire pressure although each time I've gone all the tires read 35 on paper. Odd since the last time I went I had a slow leak in my right front tire which is 30 by end of each day. I also seem to get a different code for the same discount each time I go. One time it's 15.60 off and another time it's 10.00 for the same service on the same car. I also waited to get in for nearly hour waiting in a line that was two cars deep. I get better service at a local mechanic. It's just not as convenient. Limited Trust is factor for me with this business. Value for money is lacking. I'll look elsewhere. read more

My light came on Friday morning....oil change. I thought great, the weekend where I have more Plans than time. My daughter suggested Valvoline, I needed no appointment and I could stay in the car (check emails, return calls, etc). I was like great. I decided to stop and make it happen after church. I pulled up waited 5 minutes and I was moved into the bay. My overall oil change took no more than 15 minutes. They checked my tires (topped them off), checked lights, windshield wipers and made suggestions for other maintenance. Overall, a great experience. They were not pushy and very respectful. I had a bad first experience here. I had my oil changed maybe about 2 weeks ago and I parked my car after. I have drove it maybe 2 times since then. Very short distance. Today I took of my engine cover and I had oil just sitting near my oil fill reservoir. I know for a fact that it had to come from my oil change being as though it wasn't like that before. I'm not sure if a funnel was used while filling my oil. But I am disappointed. I have a family that rides in the car with me and it could have been a potential Fire. This place is going downhill ever since Ebony(moved to waldorf location they said) left. The people that work don't even talk to you except if they're collecting the money. I had to asked of them filled the washer fluid since I didn't see them do it. I also wanted to get my tires rotated, but upon talking to someone they decided that all the lifts are not functioning(maybe they are but why all of them??!) They didn't check my lights wipers etc. They did fill my tires up. It's sad that this location is going downhill. I guess I'm going to waldorf now where even is located. Oil change. I came to this location for a basic oil change. One guy took my information before I got in the bay. When it was time to get my bill they had all the wrong information. The tech didn't want to listen when I told him the wrong information was on my bill. He just tried to fast talk me and brush me off. I bought a new battery and after 2 visits to this location. They showed me some battery meter that recommended my battery be replaced. My battery was only barely 6 months on the 2nd visit they recommended bsttery replacement. After both visits, I had the salesperson test my battery at Advance Auto and where it was purchased. Both tests showed I did not need a battery replacement. Also, be a mindfull to check underneath your vehicle when you return home because neighbors have told me at this location they have left the oil plug loose and the vehicle was dripping oil. They use savory tactics recommending radiator and transmission services. I recommend finding out who is an ASE mechanic there. Most are not, if not any. Synthetic oil changec fees: How do you know they are adding it if you can't see it...? read more

I got my oil changed here on 4/3/2022. Everything was fine. However when I drove my car later on my engine would not turn over. And if it did as soon as I pressed my gas the car would turn off. I had to get my car towed to a mechanic that stated that someone removed a screw from the Mass Air Flow sensor and never replaced it. I only take the commute car to Valvoline as I am aware that it is a quick service and on some vehicles a quick service is what you need but on others, not so much...I will admit that on my first visit the technician broke my drain plug which caused me to leave my car for a few hours so that the technician could repair it...this process took a few hours and as a nice gesture they comped the oil change thereby I wasted nothing but time. 5000 miles later; no leaks or damage so I returned this past week and was in and out in roughly 20 minutes. A few of the technicians remembered me from the last visit and ensured I would not have these issues once again. They offer coupons online, the service is quick and efficient, and the customer service is friendly. No gimmicks, it's a quick lube service and it works for me. Be sure to pay attention and ask questions...it's worth the gesture to mention to the technician to be gentle...being fast is great but being efficient is better. read more

I was extremely impressed with the service and knowledge of Ebony and her team. The staff were polite and accommodating. I had a standard oil change. They took the time to locate and change my cabin filter. Ebony took the time to teach the other staff member where to find it and how to access it. Another staff member jumped in to do my fluids and change my windshield wipers to keep the process moving. I truly appreciate the time and attention to do it right! We have taken our vehicle here twice. The first time the splash guard underneath wasn't attached properly, and when we were at our dealership they informed us what had happened and that they had to replace the hardware. I vowed not to go back, but we were in a pinch and needed a quick oil change. Again the shield wasn't attached properly and got loose on my commute and the started dragging under my car.
