Went for an oil change. Manager quoted 4.2 qts when my engine is 5.3 qts he responded "I only saw the first one that's not awd" so my crankcase would've been a full quart below. The kid kept messing around on the passenger side, when I reopened the cabin filter that I just replaced one week prior I noticed not only my glove box is off center closing with some belongings left on the dash but he shoved the filter back in almost tearing it not even remotely lined up. When I got in my vehicle later in the day I noticed the tire valve cap was loose, after checking all 4 tires every single cap was more than halfway loose, I just checked the tire pressure a week prior after a road trip. Then the paperwork shows "recommended replacement" for both the air filter and cabin filter. One is a week old and the other just replaced 3 months ago next to no miles. Jiffy Lube - They couldn't bother to brush off the leaves - Auto Repair Near Me - Beltsville, Maryland

I have been a regular customer of the Jiffy Lube at 10537 Baltimore Ave., Beltsville, MD 20705 for about six years. Although I live in Hyattsville, I drive 20 minutes to Beltsville to patronize this Jiffy Lube because of its great service and reasonable prices. My last visit was on 3/19/2025. Assistant General Manager Seth Solomon and service techs Anthony Butler, Marco Moore and Jerome Bandy Jr. were on duty that day and serviced my 2015 Mazda CX-5. They changed my oil and cabin filter, performed checks on a bunch of other items, and vacuumed the floors, topped off the coolant, and inflated my tires to the recommended pressure. Everything was done quickly and without fuss. The price was, as always, very competitive. Over the 30-plus years that I have lived in the DC area, I have been to perhaps a dozen service check/lubrication shops. From my experience, this one is the best. Came in around 1pm on a Saturday to address a noise that was coming from the FRONT of car. They took the car, came back and said that the noise that we were concerned about was the BACK brakes. The changed the brakes, rotors, "free" tire rotation, oil change, and replaced light bulbs (that didn't need changing). All coming to a grand total of 802.72. We check out and paid, they said "you're all set" and the technician who took the car for a test drive came and handed over the keys says "there's no sound coming from the car anymore". We drive off and immediately THERE IS STILL THE SAME SOUND WE CAME IN FOR!! We didn't even make it half a mile away and we came back. We tell the same tech that gave us the keys there's a sound and without listening to it he says "sounds like it's your Barring". We head inside to speak to the desk rep and they are confused cause they too were told the issues was resolved. They also tell us that that location can not provide the service of replacing barrings and they can recommend we go else where. They apologize for not addressing the initial issue. Then we are told to take a ride with the manager in the car. The manager confirmed immediately that it is the barring that's making that noise. This means that when they first diagnosed the sound they KNEW IT WAS THE BARRING THAT THEY COULD NOT FIX AND NOT THE BRAKES that they replaced that they told us was making the sound. The manager says he doesnt know why they didn't say anything about the barring but we really need to get it fix but we also needed to get the breaks fixed as well. It's now 4pm and he's just talking around the fact that his staff LIED to us about what the sound was just to get us to do all the other services listed earlier. And if they don't feel like they lied they are clearly incapable of doing their job correctly and it's still just as bad. The only solution he could offer to compensate our time and being lied to about what the sound is to remove the breaks that they add put back the old ones refund us so we can pay for the barrings at another jiffy lubes! Which is even more of an inconvenience cause they close @5 and the weekend is the only time we are free to fix the car. We called the headquarters and were told we will get a resolution in 3 days. We were still sitting out side the jiffy lube. Another worker who was supposed to be getting off said that he stayed back to help resolve our issue so we can leave there happy. The front desk rep told us they were speaking to the "big man" to resolve our issue and to park on the side so that they can help us leave there happy. We park and the manager comes back out and says he's done the best that he could do I then respond with "which is?" ...he then replies "nothing" and chuckles. He then says since we called the headquarters they will handle it and "that's that" and walks away. read more

I just experienced one of THE WORST customer service experiences ever in my life. The alleged manager, Lemun (not sure if you spell it that way) was extremely rude to me. I arrived this morning to have a car in need of spark plugs for a Ford Fiesta. As I sat down in the waiting room, I let them know I was not going to leave without getting a quote and an estimate how long it would take to complete the work. Well, 15 minutes go by and no one acknowledges my hubby and I. They are eating breakfast, kee-keeing it up and just walking past the window. At one point, the gentleman at the desk turned up the radio to play sports and also started stacking a bunch of boxes at the counter where you want to keep it clear to check out customers. When I went back out to see if I could get a response, the manager dumbfounded told me "Oh I thought they had given you a quote ". He then shoots up the price to $429 after we had just came yesterday and were given a quote of $217 for the spark plugs. I told him to not to do any of the work, as I cannot pay that. I told him I would be going to another shop instead. He chose to instead go back and forth with me on what day I was present at Jiffy Lube. That is not how you conduct yourself as a manager. He was not helpful, friendly or courteous whatsoever. Jorge, one of the other mechanics was however, as he quickly put back together the vehicle. I went to this location in August 2023 for an oil change. While my oil was getting changed they informed me that my car needed it's front brakes replaced. That in fact, the breaks were just one inch away from not working. I didn't agree to the brake change, but took my car to the dealership for a second opinion. The dealership let me know there was absolutely nothing wrong with my breaks. Obviously this location was trying to get me to pay hundreds for a service that was not needed. I'm very disappointed because I thought I'd be going to Jiffy Lube for car maintenance going forward. Absolutely would never consider even buying a bottle of water there. Wish I could leave zero stars. What a horrible business. I pulled up to the door while workers were servicing cars in both bays. One door was closed. When I pulled up (2:45 pm) they closed the second door. I waited patiently as they worked on the other cars. When they finished (15 minutes later) the workers one by one disappeared. No sign, no communication. Nothing. They closed while I waited for service. There were no hours posted. It was only after I left that I looked online and saw they closed at 3. Of course, I was there waiting at 2:45. I can't imagine a business treating customers this way. Knowing how they treat people I can only assume that their vehicle "service" reflects these same values. Horrible! read more

Very nice staff! Windows clean inside out with vacuuming, fluid top off , tire pressure check etc.. with oil change. No pressure to buy extra service. A Jiffy Lube that warrants a Yelp 5 stars? You becha! This is NOT the Jiffy Lube that is at the intersection of Route 1 and Greenbelt Road, this one is farther up Route 1 near USDA; it has a second back entrance off Rhode Island Avenue. I adore this Jiffy Lube, the staff is really friendly and well-trained. They are super speedy, but have attention to detail. The waiting area is very clean (though the selection of magazines sucks - only sports and car themes - what's wrong with a basic Time or some news magazine?). They will of course suggest different things to increase your price, but they are also honest. They will pull out my air filter and admit that it does not need to be replaced, that my wiper blades are in just fine condition, that with the year and model of my car I may not need X, or can wait a while longer for Y. If you decline any upsell, they don't push, they let it go. I have been to several Jiffy Lubes and they experience varies. Had something stolen from my car at one, another they were condescending because I was a woman and assumed I knew nothing about cars, another they were nasty after I declined every upsell. Never at this location, they are consistently pleasant, professional, and seem to really care about their job and the success of the location. read more

I agree with the other review. I pulled in to the parking lot and was greeted at my car by someone who worked there. He asked what I was in for, took my keys and told me a customer service rep would be right with me and to have a seat inside. A few minutes later, the rep called my name and asked what I'd like done. I told him I just wanted an oil change and he didn't hassle me about getting more work done. About 20 minutes later, I was paying and out the door. It's a Jiffy Lube, so I don't know what there is to say about it. They do what you would like to do yourself (if you knew how) or have your local garage do (if you had the time to schedule an appointment and wait). Most of us aren't mechanic-savvy or have much time, so you end up using a Jiffy Lube to get it done and do it quick. They're not the most cost efficient and they try and push other things on you, ("You need new windshield wipers!"), but they do what you need done right on the spot. This one isn't much different than the rest and I've never had an issue with them. The staff are cordial enough and get you in and out. I guess that's all that matters from a Jiffy Lube. read more

I had my oil changed at this Jiffy Lube. The mechanic failed to install it washer on the drain plug and over the course of a few weeks I lost 2 quarts of oil. not only that, the mechanic strip the drain plug Bolt so that will continue to leak out. I replace the oil pan since the drain plug was destroyed by this Jiffy Lube mechanic. Do not go to this Jiffy Lube under any circumstances. Terrible just terrible read more

This location lived up to their name from start to finish. I was immediately greeted when pulling up, with multiple people in the shop looking eager and moving to get started on the vehicle. Quickly cashed out and door opened on my way out after completion. This is a 5 star location with 5 star employees that all JL locations should strive achieve (I've used at least a dozen in my lifetime). If you go, you will see exactly what I am saying. I was happy to use this convenient location on my commute route, 2 minutes from the beltway exit. Highly recommend and will use again. read more

This place is all smoke and mirrors. The service staff is very friendly, but they have no idea what they're doing. I came in expecting them to be the "experts," which was far from the case. I had to look up the codes in my own book to tell them the services I needed. But, okay, I let that slide. Two months later and my battery dies on me. I pop open the hood. Total corrosion. No way that kind of corrosion comes overnight. This was something that should have been noticed by the "mechanic." Check the oil level. It's barely touching the end of the stick... Read: done incorrectly. Not topped off enough... I imagine this is probably how they save money on their end, but it's terrible for the car. Sure, the people here are nice... Whenever I go for an oil change, I always find a coupon online for a few $ off. Yes, Jiffy Lube will try to upsell you on things and offer quick fixes at a high cost but can you blame them? Got in and out quick and thought that was great. Until I realized they did not complete the full service. The floor was not vacuumed, the windows were cleaned with dirty water that streaked them. Plus the oil was not topped off, so I had to purchase oil to top it off because I didn't want to go back. On top of all of that, my change was stolen from the car. Went to a mechanic to check something on my car, he asked why I haven't change the oil when I went three days ago to this location and they charged me for oil change, with receipt, my surprise was when he showed me black oil, like I didn't change it. I've never gone anywhere but Jiffy Lube for an oil change. Though this isn't my usual Jiffy Lube, it's near my job, so I got my oil changed during lunch. My experience at these places is always the same, which says a lot about their national training standards. They always are fast; they always find something else that needs to be done other than just the oil change I came in for. Today it was a belt replacement. I never get out for the $35 oil change, today it was $105. I often wonder what the markup is on a belt that took you 10 minutes to change. But I figure this is all they do so hopefully they are doing it right. They are always polite, and like others have said they aren't really pushy. It's just part of the job. I'd go back. read more

I started coming here for oil changes three years ago and have always gotten great service. I take full advantage of the free top off service they offer between oil changes and never get an attitude from the staff. I'll admit it's somewhat lazy on my part but they are so close it's not out of my way to stop by when they are not busy. I don't trust gas station tire pressure gauges so I love how they keep my tire pressure accurate. Jiffy lube has made it easy by taking care of small maintenance issues which saves me money in the long run by preventing major engine issues. read more

I give Jiffy Lube in Beltsville near the USDA a 5 stars. I use to get my oil changed at the Jiffy Lube on Annapolis Road (Route 450 & Route 410). But, I noticed the customer service was terrible. I was told I need my brake lights replaced when I had nothing wrong with them. The workers were just terrible. Then, I was talking with a neighbor and he was saying he had a bad experience too. He said he pulled up to get a oil changed at the same location. He was told he had to wait 45 minutes due to people were on breaks. My neighbor said that it was only another car in the bay. I promised myself I would never go back to that location again. My point is that the Jiffy Lube in Beltville is and will be my new location for oil changes and etc.. The customer service was excellent. The staff were very respectful and quick. I will always drive past the one by my house and shake my head and head miles away were I know you will be taking care of right!!! Excellent job Jiffy Lube Beltsville Maryland. What a great experience! I took my 11 year old Honda Pilot in for an oil change and was on my way in less than 30 minutes. The technicians were polite and explained everything that they did.
