Shady. Been here once before with no issues. They honor groupon but in the fine print it tells you taxes will be collected after service, its disclosed so fine. Last visit they tried to upsell me an air filter which i did need but i know how to install one from oreilly so i declined. The current visit they charged a random $7 fee. And tried to upsell me fuel injector service and brake service. I declined and was on my way. I checked the receipt against the receipt from last time and the only difference is $7. To drive all the way back there for it is petty, i would rather just stop being their customer and let future customers know to check their receipts. Who knows what kinds of random charges they add to customers bills on a daily basis and call it "special fee". Bunch of bs. read more

Now I have been going to this jiffy lube for 4 years, so I would consider that a loyal customer. Yet this past time something changed, I paid for a tire rotation and oil change, yes they were quick, they always are. That's why they get at least one star. But now it might be because their job isn't very thorough. I went on December 28 and on January 6th my tire pressure monitoring system light turned on. I went to a place near my house that's free to get tire pressure checked and not only did they notify me that ALL four tires were low but they also were at 1/32" so I had been driving with unsafe traction-less tires for awhile. Jiffy lube should have warned me since they performed a tire rotation it's the least I would expect from a place I've been going to for years. Well, not anymore, I won't be returning. Also they are over priced ( I thought I was paying for quality) I paid $120 (with a coupon) at Walmart it's $75. read more

+ I went in a couple weeks ago for an oil change and while I was there they told me I had cracks in one of my belts under the hood. Never told me what belt, what it did, nothing like that. The guy literally just pointed and said "that's cracked". No explanation. They quote me $250 to replace it. I decided to get it changed because they expressed how important it was and that I 'shouldn't go much longer' (still no explanation as to what it does exactly). When I go to pay they don't have the belt for my car in stock. So they tell me they will order it and it will be in the next day. I just decided to wait on the belt until my next oil change. I decide to go somewhere else for my next oil change because every time I go to Jiffy Lube apparently my car needs something else fixed or whatever. So I went to Valvoline (who are amazing and explain everything and you don't even have to get out of your car!) I decided not to say anything about my cracked belt to see if they even say anything about it because I now know how Jiffy Lube operates. They lady explains to me it was me serpentine belt and that I should replace it soon because it is very important. She quotes me $89.99. I was in shock. From $250 to $90 I'll take it! I get home and explain to my boyfriend what happened and we laughed at what a joke this business is. He decides to call the store and let them know that one of there employees quoted me that outrageous price when I literally went down the street and got the same belt (which they had multiple in stock) for less than half their price. The man who was on the phone proceeded to call my boyfriend a liar and yell at him on the phone. I wish I could give zero stars. This place is truly a joke and out to rob you. read more

These guys are liars and cheats. I took my Subaru Outback there and they said i had to get synthetic oil. I called their BS and they said they couldn't change my oil then. I got in my car and read the owners manual and found that there was no requirement for synthetic oil. They were just trying to cheat me out of another $45. When i was in line, they did the same thing to a woman driving a ford explorer that was at least 7-8 years old. I made the mistake of not going to my normal place as Jiffy was more convenient and I will never make that mistake again. I advise no one to go to this place. Ever. read more

Average Yelp rating wasn't great, but I needed this location to run multiple errands while they changed my oil. They did a great job, were quick, washed my windows and vacuumed the interior. My service advisor was polite and professional and asked if I had performed other needed maintenance, didn't try to pressure me into things I didn't need, but verified I was keeping up. Wow, what a BAD experience. Called ahead and was told they were not busy at all I should come in right then. Made the 10 minute drive on my lunch hour. Got there and was helped by a nice man who took my info and let me know I was next, only one care was in the bay ahead of mine. Their lobby was closed for painting so I went to nearby shops while I waited. 45 minutes later I approched the outside podium to a different employee yelling across the bays "YOU CAN'T GO IN THERE!" I was literally standing at th podium wiating for one of them to approach not even turned near the entrance to "go in there." I said I was just there to pick up my vehicle and he continued to yell that I could not go inside. When he finally got to the podium I pointed to my care parked ot the side and said I am just here to pick up my car. He then said " We couldn't service your car." My first thought was there was an issue with the car; e.g. oil plug stuck. I asked why not and he said we can't charge you because of lobby is being painted and that I could not "go on there". So when I called, no one mentioned this, when I dropped my care off, gave my info, AND handed them my keys no one mentioned this. They waster my lunch hour + with their lack of organization and customer service. On top of this, as I know things happen, the 2nd employee was EXTREMELY RUDE. read more

I needed to get an oil change for my wife's car. When I went into the office to inquire about the price, I was told that it would be so much. I agreed and was told to bring my car around. Then a different employee came out. I asked him how much the oil change would cost in order to make sure I was getting it for the same price I was told. That's when he told me that for my car, (2015 Honda Accord) prices started at $100 just for a basic oil change. I was shocked!! So I came to this location for a simple break inspection with my family a employee named Jake came out to help and informed me that they would have to take off the wheels to check the back breaks so they pulled it in and a employee named shawn did the inspection and we declined to get breaks because of the price so shawn put tires back on and sent us on our way then we noticed our back wheel was wobbling so we pulled over and he didn't tighten it wheel was literally about to fall off with my kids in the car they came out to us and fixed it but I'm not going back there till shawn gets held responsible the rest of the team was very helpful but I would like to shawn held responsible for being so carless read more

I am not normally a yelper but my last service here was not positive once I let it settle in. I generally do have a good experience here when I have brought in my personal vehicle especially since it is close to home but this last time I brought in my company vehicle and feel I was really taken advantage of. I was greeted by a man with one appendage and asked for an oil change under the company account. At check out I come to find out this man racked up my bill to nearly a thousand dollars worth of work I did not ask for. The excuse was that the company authorized the services so they went ahead and did them. I feel this was an underhanded way to get sales for himself for the day and will not be bringing my company car here again. I feel it makes me look wreckless in spending money from the business account. I am not sure they even did all the work they said they did as I did not see them do everything and the other worker had slurred speech as if he suffered from serious kind of alcoholism. He repeatedly had to ask the same questions over and over again in Spanish. Beware of bringing your company car here for services. I would rather stay anonymous as I live close by and bring my personal car here for convenience. Please don't do business this way. read more

Oil change and enjoyable experience should never be in the same sentence; but I do enjoy getting the oil change done here. It's strange as I really don't like chains and I usually go to mom and pop shops. They don't just do the oil change, fill up all of the other liquids and pump air in your tires. They will readily answer any of the questions you might have when it comes to cars. I had some AC and break problems, and they don't even repair ACs or breaks but Ken went out of his way to answer what the problem might be and what should I do about it. I'm pretty blond when it comes to cars and I'm always scared that something will break in the middle of the 15 during rush hour and I will die, so it's somewhat comforting to have somebody assure me that my car is ok and it won't kill me. read more

I just brought my brand new car here for my first oil change after the dealerships free ones. I was sort of impressed by the way they treated my car. The person that greeted me was nice and let me know what they would be doing to my car. They checked my filters, but forgot to put my items back on my glovebox. I was shopping for the least expensive brake pad service after going to the Toyota dealer and had the inspection there. They quote me the least price by phone. I went there and after an hour wait they said that most likely I needed to replace the rotors too, he said with the numbers he had he basically had to change them and quoted me $89 each. I said no and he automatically started dismounting the car. I said the Toyota dealer said it only needed the pads changed, 2 year old car. He answered "Toyota is not Lexus" (Lexus is just a department within the Toyota company). Jose is his name and he did not want to change only the pads. This is called bait and switch, they get you there with the lowest price and then tell you that you need more done to your car, when you actually don't. read more

I went to the Escondido, CA location about a year ago. They showed my the cabin filter and the air filter. I had the air filter replaced ONLY. I'm sitting in the Hemet, CA location right now and I'm told that there is no cabin filter installed. I know I didn't take it out. Is it a common practice to not return these filters? Don't trust any quote from these guys or get it in writing first. As I pull in they try to up sale me on synthetic of course but I have always used traditional so stick with that to keep the price at $39.99. He then asks about tranny service, radiator flush, fuel filter change, etc. The usual which I usually refuse and tell my wife to refuse as well. However I asked well how much for the fuel filter knowing I have never had it done and the salesman says $39.99. At that price I say ok go ahead but I would like to see the old filter. They do the service and show me the old filter which is nothing to really see as it is a metal canister so no way to know how dirty it is inside. When it comes time to pay though the fuel filter change is now 89.99 as the part was 39.99 but they add in $55.00 for labor although it took no longer than usual. I question that he quoted me $39.99 and the response is I said "starting at" which I don't remember him saying but what can I do. So basically completely untrustworthy and will lie to your face to steal your money. This place deserves 0 stars. There are several oil change places like this around so pick another. Avoid this place as all it is out for is your wallet!! read more

I have used this Jiffy Lube location for many years. Today I went in for my 5,000 mile oil change. The tech, who had no name on his shirt, told me I was overdue because the mfr recommended change was 3,000 and if I wanted to go to 5,000 I needed to use synthetic. He told me the little sticker that goes on the windshield is defaulted to the 3,000 miles unless I used synthetic and he could not change it. I pulled my car manual and showed him he was in error. He insisted he was right. I had him bring up the maintenance schedule and I pointed directly to the statement on the screen listing normal maintenance at 5,000. (3,000 is for towing and such). This was the moment he could have backed off, But no, he still insisted synthetic. I asked for a manager "No one here", I asked for a contact number for the owner "I don't have it". I told him I would find the name of the owner. With a condensing "Good luck" from him. I did find the owner who is a corporation in Lomita, CA.. In the end I got in my car and noticed the interval was 5,000. I guess the system made a mistake in the default. Now I have to find a new oil change facility. read more

Let me start of by saying wow!!!! :) I have never ever in my years of taking my car to oil change places have been to a more quick and friendly place. This guy with a big beard came out within seconds of me pulling up and got me started with my oil change where he let me know about the services my car manufacturers recommend for me to get done , I got shown to the lobby and was in and out in like 15 min witch is great because I was on lunch and didn't have much time. The crew there is very nice and always smiling witch made me feel very comfortable. All I have to say is keep up the great work I will defiantly be bringing all my vehicles here and will be telling all my friends and family about this jiffy lube witch is by far the best in north county. read more

my wife took her car In for an oil change & a tire rotation. she asked for synthetic oil. They charged her $124+ for the service. That is exactly twice the cost for the exact same thing down the street @ Evans tire, where I had the oil & rotation done on my car 2 days later. when I found out what she had been charged, I went to talk to them about their charge & I felt they had taken advantage of her. the Mgr said he could do nothing but the owner (who wasn't in) could. I left my number & asked to be called . As of 1 week later I've had no response. They have shown, by pricing & response to my inquiry, that they do not give a damn about repeat business, so I will oblige them. read more

I'd give a zero rating if I could. They stripped the drain plug on my new Jeep. I only learned of this when I took it to a 5-star auto maintenance shop in town, they had me come look at the drain plug after the car was up on the lift. This Jiffy Lube had torqued the drain plug in so tight that they (Jiffy Lube) used vice grips (unsuccessfully) to get it out. I had taken my Jeep to this Jiffy Lube for all three of my Jeep's oil changes. I'm pretty sure that oil change number #3 with Jiffy Lube didn't actually change the oil, because they couldn't get the plug out from the previous cross-threading debacle. read more

I spent almost 40 thousand dollars on loans that I'm still paying off for the education I got at U.T.I and i still got schooled coming here to these guys at jiffylube on el norte parkway yes I coulda done my own work but time and lazyness stopped me from doing it. From the moment I pulled up you can tell the difference of this jiffylube to the others from my hello to being escorted by Francisco to the straight up knowledgeable checking of my car with david to tony's excellent service performed to my car and noticing the problems that I woulda over looked to cody's reasurrance during me paying for my service and being informed that this location is more than just a lube shop they do everything yes read it again everything!!! Brakes,rotors,pan drops,water pumps etc...and they are the only ones doing as I came to find out they are the only franchise store in san diego so yes I highly recommend this place for all your 1 stop shop car care and speedy excellent service......side note they are a funny bunch of comedians be ready to laugh alot with these guys. read more

On vacation from Nor Cal with my fleet vehicle and needed an oil change / tire rotation. My owner's manual specifically states that while synthetic blend oil is recommended, it's not required. The rude employees at this JL did not listen to me, nor did they listen to my owner's manual when I pulled it out and showed them. They insisted they "had" to put in synthetic blend because that's what their computer says. (No one bothered to ask me what kind of services I wanted when I arrived, anyway.) I finally got tired of arguing and left. After my terrible experience at two San Diego-area JL locations, I hope I never need another oil change when I'm in the area. read more

The people were friendly and it took as much time as they said it would. My problem with it all was that i brought in a coupon from online that was specific to their location. Online it said it would only work at this location and was found on the Jiffy Lube Website. The first person i talked to for my oil change said the coupon would work on any oil change I wanted. I went with the standard oil change and went on my way. When i picked up my car the cashier said that coupon is not valid and was for the previous owner. I challenged him on it and he simply said the coupon does not work and the most he can do is give me $5 dollars off as opposed to the $13 dollars off i was supposed to get. Probably the last time i will go here... hard to trust a place who cant even offer coupons off their own website. Mislead me to think it would work then charged me more in the end. People were friendly, so i feel bad saying i wont be back... but if i cant trust you then i'm taking my car someplace else. read more

These guys are great! They provide awesome service and always greet me with a smile when I drive up. They are quick and efficient. I got my oil changed today and was out in about 15 minutes. I regularly go in to take advantage of the free oil top offs and they are continually helpful, kind, and professional. During oil changes they give me updates on my car but never in a way that makes me feel pressured. Highly recommend these guys. read more
