Got a call from my grandmother in the morning and she asked if I could get her an oil change and get the air in her tires checked and make sure her car was safe. So I went to the jiffy lube in Franklin ma. Very small place can only do two cars at a time which is fine it wasn't busy. I waited about ten minutes and then went inside I was yelled at by the gm Jonathan and who told me to move faster into the bay. Telling me to "hurry up let's go" I kept my cool at that point. Jonathan asked me for my info address and email I gave him the email and he got it wrong I kept telling him it was wrong and he said "dont worry about I know how to spell " so I let it go. I popped the hood and Jonathan pulled the dip stick out, he got a phone call on his cell phone and threw the dip stick in the engine compartment getting oil all over the inside of the engine compartment. Another associate came and cleaned most of it up. Then it was time to pay he comes to me and tells me "that will be 91.69 " I said what? What did you guys do change the oil that's it? You didn't check the lights check the air in the tires nothing. And your telling me it's 91.69. He said yes! I can not believe I paid 92 dollars for an oil change. On a 2012 honda civic . Overly expensive and zero customer service. Told me I could look up competitors prices to match, when I did they said it was the wrong companies synthetic so it was apples and oranges. I said okay I'll just take my car and go. " we already drained it!" " you wanted an oil change, that's what the agreement was". Large amount of attitude from Cy! I went to this location last week because my tire light in the car was on. I have my own air valve in the car which I tried but I don't know what tire needs air or how much. I went first thing in the morning because I had a long drive ahead of me. The first guy that came up to my car asked me if I needed an oil change I told him I just needed air in my tires. He told me to pull up behind the car in service. I waited patiently but they were taking extremely long on that first car. Finally someone else came up to ask what I needed and I told him. He told me to leave my keys in the car and wait inside, I was shocked! Jiffy lube has never said that to me before. I told him I didn't have time for that and I just needed air in my tires. He started arguing with me and told me to go to a gas station. Meanwhile the woman behind me was watching and decided to leave at the same time I did. She rolled down her window and told me she didn't like how he was talking to me, so congrats you lost two customers over refusing service to one. I came mid-day on a weekday for a simple oil and filter change. They were very efficient and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. No line today. Things are bit slower on weekends when there is often a several cars waiting for service. The staff was friendly. They do want to sell a variety of upgrades and other services, but they are not pushy. So just get what you need/want and you'll be fine. read more

Had a terrible experience at this location. I have been bringing my vehicles to Jiffy Lube for years. A simple oil change shouldn't cause someone so much grief. This location employs extremely unprofessional employees that lack even basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance. Reaching out to the management only prompted a response from a manager from another district in New York due to the manager "being on vacation". A month later and still no response from the proper district manager. Rude, condescending, and inaccurate information given despite requesting the same service and oil that was recommended at the last oil change at this location. Take you car to an actual mechanic to get an oil change. Not worth trusting these people with something as simple as an oil change. read more

BEWARE......check your oil after they change it, over the past 6 months I have two new cars serviced at the Franklin location and found they shorted me 2 quarts of oil both times. Brought it to the dealership to check for possible leaks or a lose drain plug. No leaks on a 2 year old Honda. Running you car with only 2.5 quarts for 4 months no doubt damages your engines. This is the second weekend in a row I've tried to go to a different Jiffy lube and have been sent away. The first time they found a stick in my grill and refused to change the oil citing comment policy about "front end damage". Today I didn't even get in the driveway before they told me it was too late to change my oil. I showed up at 2, they close at 5 and there we're only two cars in the bay. Apparently when Jiffy Lube treats it customers like month old garbage you better not date complain or they'll taje it out on your car. All I wanted was a top of oil before I left for the weekend as they so proudly tell me of their customer service while I am paying over $100 for an oil change. I tried to come to the exit and see if they would just top me off quickly. I knew if I was in line I wouldnt mind someone jumping the line for that. Instead the guy wanted me to wait in line(six cars plus the ones in the bays) to top off. What a waste of time. Not happy with this. My mother, 80+ yr old, was charged over $100 for an oil change. And thats with her little $10 coupon applied! Tried to talk to the manager to find out why it was so expensive. He had an answer for everything except why she was upsold. Don't go here; not recommended unless you feel like paying double the average cost. Yes she was given synthetic oil but not because SHE requested it. How the he** would she know to ask for it?? Oh, the best part? YELP score is misleading for people who don't read reviews, this Jiffy Lube is top notch with a very sharp and friendly manager and staff and deserves 5 *'s. Very efficient, thorough discussion of services and options in a comfortable and friendly manner. There is no bs upsell or non-sense talk you can run into at chain and small private shops. Absolutely the best service at this location. A few months ago I had an issue that required a transmission flush. Cy went over in great detail the issue with my transmission and how they can fix it, and what will need to be done in the future to finish the fix (would need a second flush after 20k more miles). Came in today for another oil change, the second flush, and a few miscellaneous additional repairs. Francis was absolutely amazing. Went over everything needed, pricing, even noticed that a mouse had chewed through my cabin air filter (gross), and popped a random part back into place that I had no idea was even out of place. He even helped to get me some applicable discounts to help with the large bill I wracked up. The invoice I received broke down every cost, discount, and the service checklist, including topping off all fluids etc. Erin and Cy also worked on my car and were incredible. Erin made sure the extra headlight I had made it safely into my car, and even grabbed my coffee from the car because I forgot to grab it. This is an incredible team and I feel so safe knowing that my car is in excellent shape for the cross country drive I am making tomorrow. I would give this place zero stars if I could. I had taken my car there the last 3 times it needed an oil change because my regular place (the dealership) was too far away and the hours weren't convenient. They charge more than my regular Honda dealer does, but for the convenience factor, I justified it. What a mistake. I finally took my car into the Honda dealership for a 100k mile service and an early oil change... about 2k miles after Jiffy Lube had last done it. They struggled forever to get the dipstick out which was the first red flag. It got better from there, the oil was black and obviously old. I knew the car had been running rough, but assumed it was because I was due for service... it turns out, it was because of my oil. Now I'm not saying that Jiffy Lube wasn't actually changing my oil when they were taking my money, but under the circumstances, it seems a little (okay, a lot) fishy. Also, I'm used to getting fluids topped off with an oil change and sometimes a tire rotation. They don't do either of those from my experience. Someone else said they vacuumed their car too, but I have never gotten that at Jiffy Lube. read more

Definitely a good place to go for a reasonable price. Be careful, though, because chains like this (as I experienced in the Franklin location) tend to try and sell you things you don't need. They take the air filter OUT of the car and say it needs to be changed, but oftentimes, it doesn't! So if you take your car here, know exactly what you're going in for, and stick to it. I have taken them up on good deals in the past (I needed wiper blades and they had a 2-for-1 deal), so it's worth hearing them out, but don't let 'em fool you! Went right at 7:59 am to get my oil changed only to find all of the staff waiting outside. The store manager bailed on all of them and he was the only one with a key! I've honestly been to better Jiffy Lube locations. For starters, the staff doesn't seem to know what they are doing since they all felt the need to run to the "most qualified person" that sounds honestly like the only one who can do the job. I went in there to get a few light bulbs replaced and they seriously looked like they had no idea what they were doing. Even the guy who was considered the "most qualified person" looked at my car and said there was nothing he could do. I then went to a real mechanic and he did the job in under 5 minutes. read more

Just had an awful experience at this Jiffy Lube! I came in for an oil change and right from the get go had a bad feeling. The woman who came up to my car didn't even talk to me about what I wanted done she just asked for the keys and told me to wait inside. I figured that someone would talk to me inside about what I would want done to my car but I had to wait 15 minutes for anyone to even come in! Once an employee finally did come in the waiting area, I walked straight up to her and asked her to talk to me about what kind of oil change I would be getting (considering they were already working on my car, I didn't think this was unreasonable!!). She told me "She would get to me later." Later? They were already working on it! I don't know. It made no sense to me at all. Horrible customer service! Very sarcastic employees and just a generally poorly managed place. Maybe others have had better experiences but I'm never taking my car here again that's for sure. read more

I brought my car here recently since I needed an oil change and was near by. They did a quick job but it was actually more expensive than the dealer. Now a couple days later I see liquid spots on the driveway. I looked under the car and it is dripping oil and checked the engine level and I'm already down a third of a quart in a couple of days. We used to bring the wife's Camry here a bunch of times without issue. I guess I will be going back to the dealer in the future where they specialize in working on the brand that they sell and the price is about the same. Also, as a previous poster mentioned, chains like this do try to sell additional items. Lesson learned. read more
