I brought my son's car in because of a grinding noise coming from one of the tires. They called a few hours later and said 'good news, there was a pebble caught in the wheel, we took it out, no charge'. They could have done nothing and charged me a few hundred bucks; they could have done work or replaced parts I didn't need and charged me a grand. Instead, they did the right thing. This is actually the second time they've provided 'over and above expectations' service, and it's the reason I bring all of my family's cars here and recommend it to others. Obviously the news can't always be this good - sometimes you really do need work and it can require costly parts or labor-intensive service, but that's exactly why you need to find a place you can trust. read more

Called a day ahead to get an appointment set for a tire rotation and an oil change. The man who I spoke to on the phone confirmed that it would take just around an hour (as expected). I dropped it off today at 10:30, planned to run a few errands and pick it back up around noon the same day...the man who checked me in mentioned they would give me a call when it was done. A few hours later I hadn't heard anything. I called the shop around 1:30 to check on the status. They had not even started on my car. Said they were "just now getting to it" Fast forward to 4:30pm and still no call. I called the shop again and was told that they had tried to reach me and thought they left a message. I verified that they had the right number on file - they did. Now picking up my car over 6 hours after dropping it off. Do not bother scheduling an appointment or plan on getting your car back anywhere close to their time estimate. read more

If I could leave a 0 I would!!!!!! On June 29th, 2024, I had an oil change done at the goodyear store in Franklin Mass. Well the technician messed up and pinched my oil filter gasket. You know although this is a problem, the real problem is how corporate goodyear is trying to handle this. First off I had to have my car towed to the dealer because the oil light came on and it was out of oil. This ordeal cost me a day without my vehicle and 233.00 to repair. I brought the receipt to goodyear and gave the manager there all the paperwork and he said he would handle that. I also told him my driveway was a disaster along with my mother's since I was always there taking care of her house. Well 3 weeks go by and I heard nothing. I stopped by the store and the manager said I'm sorry I didn't know how to complete a liability claim. Well, that's understandable since Goodyear just throws anyone into that position to fill a need long before they are ready for it. Well, he finally got that handled then the real fun started. After waiting another 2 weeks I called the liability department and talked to someone on the other end of the phone he didn't give me his name. He told me that they are busy and since my case isn't a priority they would get back to me since there are only 3 people working in that department. Well September rolls around and they finally call me. I explained the situation and told him that I had gotten people out to look at the driveway. The oil was embedded into the tar and I was informed they could lighten it a little and try to seal the oil in the tar, but the only to fix this was to replace the driveway. Well, the representative Who I shall leave nameless for now told me that he wanted to try power washing it anyway. I said if that's what you want to try and you want to waste money on that then great. Well, I got estimates for power washing knowing this wasn't going to solve anything. This is when they decided to pull a fast one and told me that I had to sign a release from liability before they would have the person power wash the driveway. Well, I told him that was just crazy and I wasn't releasing them from liability when we both know it wasn't going to work. So I rented a high pressure power washer and power washed the driveway myself. I even sent this person a video showing him that I was power washing it and showing him the specialized cleaning supplies I used. Well needless to say I didn't hear from him again till right around Christmas. He just kept ignoring me and my emails. After I called the week before Christmas and talked to another rep there, he said that, he and the other rep would discuss this and one of them would get to me. Well Jan 3rd came around and this person calls me back saying that he talked to his boss and his boss's boss and they would not be fixing this problem because "they don't replace driveways and your driveway is old anyway" And told me I had 14 days to sign the release from liability or they were not going to do anything. (So they wanted to pay to power wash a driveway again but have a signed release and walk away with my driveway a mess. Hymn doesn't sound right too me)I asked him for his bosses name and phone number along with his bosses boss's phone number and email to confirm this ( because this guy has been doing nothing but lying and avoiding me for months) again nothing no call no email no information. This is what happens when you have a problem with goodyear. I guess they really don't care about their customers or reputation. Good luck to anyone who has a problem with the service at one of their stores. They charge outrageous prices and do not fix problems that their stores create. Lesson learned it will be costing me 11,000 dollars in the spring to replace a driveway because Goodyear tire and rubber in Akron Ohio does not fix old drive ways that they destroy. Nice job goodyear!!!!!!! Everyone has been warned stay far far away from this store and the others because from my experience Goodyear will not repair what they destroy Totally unprofessional useless company !!!!!!!!!!!! Or maybe it's just that one person inn the liability department who probably shouldn't be in that position. But I will never know because goodyear Customer service doesn't email me back either except for a electronic replay email stating the District manager will be in touch. I went in for an oil change and was told I needed front and rear brakes at the sum of over 1300 dollars. I went to the dealer and he told me that my brakes were at 6 and go Goodyear told me they were at 2. I have been going to this Goodyear in Franklin for over 20 years and it's gone through managers like crazy. Bruce Marchand was the when I started and when Mike Caferrelli was there there were no problems. After this issue I will never go back to any Goodyear again. You cannot try and screw your longtime customers and think it's ok. read more

They are always accommodating, courteous, fair and truthful about what work you need to have done without running up the bill. Hours say they are open on sundays at 8am. Even when you call their phone number it says they are "open 8am to 5pm on Sundays for your convenience". Extremely unprofessional. Beyond rude. They yank whatever money they can from you but don't explain why it's as much as it is. The atmosphere is not it, attitude for nothing. I don't understand why employees are allowed to be the way they are, i felt it the first time i went and gave it another shot and I will never want to go back. The older gentleman should learn good customer service instead of the "ahhhs" & eye rolls. God forbid you ask why your being charged more than normal cause he will slam his finger and point and then proceeded to slam my change on the counter . You wait forever for even an oil change, took hour and a half for oil change & tire rotation. They didn't remove the sticker they placed on the windshield the first time, just slapped another one right on top extremely messy. I knew my tires were worn, and I had developed a slow leak or two. So I went in without an appointment. The manager was friendly and helpful, checking out the current tires before we agreed to replace them. They took the car right away and finished it quickly. Getting new tires is not something on my "fun list". The manager told me to expect better gas mileage and a smoother ride - the results exceeded my expectations. I had a great experience. A coworker recommended coming here for new tires. I don't think I've ever been to Goodyear auto before. Made an appointment online for the tires I wanted, was quoted an hour and a half, showed up, everyone was friendly, it took less than an hour, I received a promotional rebate which I knew about (I compared prices and it seemed like the best price and mileage guarantee) and I received an additional rebate that I was unaware of. Unprofessional customer service. It was nothing but attitude. I went for a walk while waiting and saw around 12:30 the one tire they were replacing was taken off so I walked back inside and waited in there. 40 minutes later they came to tell me that I needed a new alignment so what should've been maybe an hour took them 2 hours instead when I was one of the first people there. I tried to ask two questions and the guy was very impolite. He treated the older gentlemen that were also in there with way better respect and manners. It wasn't until I was leaving that he attempted to be nice after rolling his eyes at me and giving me attitude multiple times. He also made snarky comments and was whispering to his coworkers after my uncle had called over to help figure what was wrong with my car. Bad, bad service. Had my oil change at the Franklin store. First of all they would not accept my service coupon for an oil change. In my opinion and at all other service stations I asked if an oil change is considered as a service and they all said yes, absolutely! Secondly, they never cleared out my code. Thirdly, I opened the hood they had oil all over my engine, the cover on my engine was only snapped on one side. Just hanging there. They also rotated my tires. So, by then I said, just for kicks let me see what the pressure of all my tires! Then I could not believe that one of my tires had 19lbs of pressure! You got to be kidding me! Free wifi what a JOKE! Had to walk to Dunkin' Donuts next door. This was my third visit here. I had been pleased before not any more this is totally unacceptable!! read more

I had an appointment at 9:30 to 12:00 for an oil change. When I arrived and checked in at 9:25. When I checked in, I was asked if I was waiting or dropping off. I told them that I was going for breakfast and would be back after. When I got back at 11:15, my car had not been serviced and had not even moved. I was told that I would have to wait 1 hour to 1 1/2 hrs for it to be done. Since I made an appointment for 9:30, why shouldn't my car have been looked at and completed. The manager said that he wasn't told that I wasn't a drop off. If you do make an appointment and are coming right back, please make sure the manager knows. Otherwise, you will be waiting. After my car went off 495 this weekend on the way to the Cape, I realized I had to suck it up and drop some money into much needed car maintenance... at least before the worst of the winter hits us... These guys hooked a girl UP!! Let me start by saying that IRA Toyota in Milford quoted me $800.00 +/- for a set of four Michelin tires for my Solara... being a chick, and looking for an easy in/out of the dealership, etc. I booked my service with Toyota and was scheduled to bring my car in for the day. (today, actually) I asked my father to meet me in Milford so I could drop my car off for the day, and get a ride to the office... No, No, No... he made a call to Good Year in Franklin, and this is what $418.67 got a girl: *4 Good Year 17" Eagle GT tires, mounted and balanced, with 60,000 mile Road Hazard Protection, every 6,000 miles balanced & rotated... *New Windshield Wipers... *Oil and Oil Filter Change... *Labor, Parts, Tax... * A $50.00 Mail In Rebate on the Tires... (now I'm looking at $368.67 total) Oh, and they threw in an alignment to boot... I don't know what this usually costs, but Toyota quoted me an extra $89.00. !!! Shouldn't this be par for the course anyway when replacing all tires? I dunno... I dropped it off at 11 AM and had it back at the office by 3 PM. Funny, I noticed that only one of the wipers was replaced for some reason... my driver's side was missing... annoying, but no biggie. I dropped by Good Year on the way to work today and in less than five minutes I was good to go. Apparently they were expecting me as upon closing shop last night Bruce came across a lonely new wiper sitting all alone on the service desk. I still give them five stars. All of this at Toyota would have cost me at least $1000.00. I highly recommend them to EVERYONE. Go to Bruce, he is the Service Manager. He'll take care of you! read more

I had a slow leak in my tire and stopped by to see if they could take a look at it. The guy at the counter didn't even look up and asked if I had an appointment. I told him I didn't and he said he was too busy. Still not looking up, he told me to come back the next day at 9am and he'd see what he could do. In my opinion, when you have a customer the least a person can do is look up and smile, and say hello. I'm done with Goodyear forever - not even sure I'd purchase a car that had Goodyear tires. As it turns out, Goodyear VERY frequently discontinues tires. Why do they do that? So they can claim a tire that there is "nothing we can do" when you have a receipt that shows you purchased Goodyear tires, that they had a 50K manufacturers warranty and you only get 20K or so out of the tires. As it happens, there is a Eagle Sport All Season tire that apparently Goodyear is about to discontinue that is predominantly featured on their website. So even though that tire has a 50K tread warranty as well, a year or two from now Goodyear will throw up their hands and say "that tire was discontinued and we aren't going to honor the warranty" and "we're absolutely powerless and our hands are tied" I also got accused of going to a cut rate "online tire store" to buy the original tires I'm trying to replace and that is why they are crappy quality. Despite the fact that Discount Tire (where I purchased them originally) is one of the biggest and most popular tire chains down south. Who hasn't heard of Discount Tire? Their "return the tire if you don't like it" commercials are world famous. Which is incidentally how I really ought to return my very last set of Goodyear tires ever to these guys. read more

I got a flat tire and had a nail in my tire. I needed my tire patched. I called many local places and there was a was a wait up to two days. I brought my tire to Goodyear in the late evening and they had it fixed for me first thing in the morning. They also put the tire back on for me. As a college student this was extremely helpful because I was able to get back to school on time. read more

This is my 3rd BAD experience with this store 1) Within two months of getting my tires aligned and balanced, I took my car there for oil change and they told me it needed Alignment and balance. 2) I took it there for Check Engine Light. Spent $600. Within two weeks the light came back on. I took it to the dealer and they fixed THE SAME problem for less than $500. After contacting the regional office for Goodyear and faxing them the receipts and complaining, they reimbursed me the lesser amount (what I paid the dealer to fix the car, not what they charged me at Goodyear). 3) I recently took the car for an oil change. The second day I drove the car, the gas pedal got stuck. I took it back there and they told me it needed a new cable and throttle engine for over $2500. I took the car to another place across town and the guy told me the gas cable was tampered with and wasnot assembled right. It had a kink in it and he charged me labor to fix it. Bottom line I do NOT trust this store at ALL. read more

I had a very nice experience today at Goodyear in Franklin. I walked in without an appointment to have a tire checked. They were able to do the repair with no problems. While I was at the service center, another woman came in without an appointment. She was obviously having a difficult day and started crying. The gentlemen at the desk was clearly struggling to help her but took the time to try to discuss her options. It was not an easy situation but I was most impressed with how they handled the situation. read more

Scheduled rear brake replacement on my car, left car Thursday night to be completed next day, they called or so it was claimed, that apparently additional parts and work needed to be done with additional cost, and no message was left. Late Friday afternoon a call was made to our house and we responded immediately to approve the completion of the repairs which we were assured the car would be ready next day by noon. Saturday 1:45 pm called to inquire status and after a period of confusion and uncertainty (no one knew about the assurance given the day before) and with some persuasion repair was completed. Next time I could save a lot of money and do it in my driveway, not sure I would return ! read more

My experience at Goodyear Tires Service Center in Franklin, MA on 6/27/2014 was absolutely appalling. On my way to work, my car's alert system notified me of extremely low tire pressure in the rear driver's side tire. Being that I have to take a major highway to work, I figured it would be in my best interest to get it quickly checked out. I arrived at 7am (with no other people in the parking lot) and entered the facility to an empty waiting area. A man finally emerged from the work area and immediately made me feel like an inconvenience. He gave me attitude, telling me he had absolutely no time to take a look. I then had the "audacity" ask if he was able to at least add air to the tire. He proceeded to act completely unprofessional. While he begrudgingly filled my tire, he tried to tell me that my 2012 Jeep with tires less than 2 years old (and only 20K miles) were completely unsafe to drive due to the excessive "dry rot". It so reassuring to know that such a "professional" would use scare tactics to make a sale. Nice try. Would not recommend this place to ANYONE. read more

Took my car to this place a few times for oil change and tires. Very unprofessional, they seem to look down upon their customers. They took advantage of my ignorance and convinced me to replace all my tires on my car, while the problem should have been obvious to any skilled mechanic. Makes me sick to my stomach just to think about their daring dishonesty. They make a quick buck just to lose in the long run. Would not recommend the place. We've gotten our oil changed there for all of our cars for many years. Also have our tire work and other routine maintenance done there as well. Never had a problem at all. When doing the oil change they will check the car over and call if they find something they think needs work, but never with a hard sell. Most of the time we get the oil changed and they check it over and don't have any additional recommendations, so I don't think they're out to oversell or rip us off. Their hours are convenient, front desk folks are friendly and professional. I highly recommend them. read more

He was very helpful and got the car back up and running and my son made it back with no problems. I recently made an appointment to have 2 tires put on my car. After I was there 40 minutes, I was told it would be at least an hour, that they were backed up. I also had a light bulb replaced for my directional. My car was FINALLY done 2 1/2 hours later!! Then, they realized they put the wrong bulb in. This is usually done in less than half the time according to my son who is a mechanic, and made me over 1 hour late picking my Granddaughter up. From what I could see, they have plenty of help there, but the stand around talking when they should be working on cars! They also forgot to return my wheel locks, and I had to go pick them up!!! read more
