    I came to this jiffy lube and expected the same treatment I got from the last shop. And boy was I wrong. They quoted me the highest price available. Instead of asking me which oil I wanted And as soon as I looked at him. I felt like I was gonna get scammed out of my money. I would not come here or recommend anyone to come here.

    *DING!* my car went. It took me a few seconds to figure out what that was about, but the ding was a reminder to get an oil change. This isn't the first time my car has been brought to this station for that particular task, but it was mine. Came through on a random weekday afternoon and with the partial county lockdown due to the COVID-19 precautions, I wasn't surprised I was the only customer at the time. It was easy, really. They asked for the key, gave me an estimate, and was asked to sit at their outdoor lobby area. Now, I'll be honest: I never Yelped them up until the day of and I completed heeded a few of my fellow Yelper's reviews (i.e., they didn't drain the oil properly, they didn't change the filters, etc.) But I promise, I saw them draining the oil out of my car. In the continuity of being honest, I'm not sure about the oil or filter part of the job since I really couldn't tell what they were doing: a lot of my view was blocked as they worked on it. But to be fair, and just to reiterate, this isn't my car's first time here, and if I didn't have a problem then, I don't expect a problem now. They checked and filled the air on my tires (as needed) as well as vacuumed the inside of my car. That's always a plus. And a $12 discount off a Yelp check-in? YAY! Can't imagine why I would give them less than a stellar rating. Keeping them in mind for the next oil change run.

    YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2018 - PART 2: 11/100…read more So, I dropped the ball on the car registration's due date. Big deal, I still had 3 days. But then I realized after reading the form that a smog check was required! Otherwise (insert Seinfeld's soup Nazi voice here): "NO REGISTRATION FOR YOU!" I heard many good things about Hi Tech Auto Center so I bounced hoping to get it done on a Saturday morning. This entire corner is riddled with different kinds of business to serve various car needs. ("Auto Center!" I get it!) But there was only one thing I needed to get done... I met Christopher and told him what I needed. Luckily, he just finished up with one car and mine was next. He directed me to the lobby to wait and will let me know once everything is a-okay. What impressed me the most about him is when I overheard him explain to the customer before me that there are other things needed to be done with her car for it to pass a smog test. (She did have an older model car.) I was almost surprised with how he simplified everything to her and that it was nothing to worry about too much - that it can still be done right there and then at very little cost. I mean, really... others would have probably taken advantage of her with extras she most likely didn't need. My car was done in no time. Christopher made it a really easy transaction! Highly recommending!

    This is my second time to Best Buy Smog and it was even faster than I remembered. So quick and painless. They can however only service 1 car at a time and I got lucky as the previous customer was leaving right as I pulled up. If there's a line though, I assume it could be a wait. I see a lot of 4 stars but even before this incident, it was not really more than 3 stars at best. I went this particular time and gave the man my registration form and was told to pull my car up. There was a faux pas where I locked my keys in my car just that quick. I had to wait for a bit to have an extra key brought to me. There were a few cars that came through for the service. I finally was able to pull up. Everything was fine and he handed me my smog cert and receipt. What he failed to do was return my registration form but I did not realize it until I got home so I went back to let him know he still had my form and without even looking, he was very adamant that he gave it back and I was 100% sure he had not...I hadn't been anywhere else and it was not in the car. So I asked if he could just look but he was rude and very unsympathetic to my request. I was insistent so he half-heartedly looked and I asked about a stack of papers that he finally rushed-looked through and then I ask about some other stack of folded papers that happened to be other registration forms of other customers that he claimed that they threw away. He tossed them at me to look through. I did not recover my form. Why would there be a stack of other customer forms that customers threw away just laying around if they threw them out? Why didn't he throw them out if that was the case? He probably didn't return their's either! Then it dawned on me that perhaps he was right and so was I. I had been there for a minute and he had my form the whole time so when the other cars came through while I was waiting for my extra key, he probably handed my form to one of those other customers or it's still there at his shop stuck somewhere but didn't bother to really look for it. I have no complaints with the smog check only the rude-ass merchant and because of that, I will go elsewhere where courtesy counts when spending my dollars! My form was never found that the merchant said he returned to me. How it got lost from his shop to my home is beyond my comprehension! Note: if any fraudulent activity arise as a result of my info being hijacked by this business or mistakenly given to the wrong customer, Best Buy Smog will be liable!!!!!!
