I'd leave a 0 star if I could. Co worker took our company truck here today to get an inspection done. She noticed several customers arriving after her were leaving before her. When she's finally called up to checkout she's told the truck passed. She looked at the paper and asked the lady why it said failed then. Lady told her that the master brake cylinder needs to be looked at, yet wrote it up as us needing brake fluid. Was told they couldn't help us and we'd have to take it to a mechanic. Took it to a mechanic and they said the brake fluid was full and the cylinder was in good condition. Took it across the road to another inspection place who passed it with no issues. So now we are out the cost of an inspection since this Jiffy Lube charged us for one and failed us for unknown reasons. This place is horrible and we will never return! This was my first time going to this Jiffy Lube location and I am very disappointed with my experience. I was getting 2 of my vehicles evaluated and the team was especially rude, had us wait for an excessive amount of time before telling us their machine was down and wouldn't be a location I'd recommend. For Houston it may be better to go to local owned shops and others, as places such as these may be ineffective when the staff are this unprofessional. It'd be different if this was a first time occasion, but after speaking with my coworker concerning the incident, I was informed this was a common occurrence for this location and was deterred from coming again. Mr. Whiting was highly unprofessional and they could be benefit from improved employee training. We are currently in a freezing weather conditions warning, with temperatures very low and the air conditioner was blasting on 52 degrees during winter. Overall please do better. read more

After changing the oil one crew member cane to me and said the swiped my keys inside the left cover above the tire. Trying to get them out the removed the cover above tire and the screw broke during that process. I went to check it out and it was very loose. The guys noticed my frustrations and asked if I could wait for a minute. He went down and got a new screw and placed back in. Thanks for the quick response from the team. I just went here earlier today and had a terrible experience. First, there were kids running around the entire place screaming their heads off. I know that the staff here can only do so much when it comes to that kind of thing, but their father seemed to either work there or just want to hang around there. The people who spoke to me and serviced my vehicle seemed to know the man well enough so they should have stepped in when they saw these bad kids running all around the place. Aside from that, at my initial quote of the oil change (what I first came in for) the mechanic seemed to keep pressing me to purchase a new air filter when i didn't need one. I had just had it replaced at my last oil change three months prior so i knew I was good. So I paid when everything was over and went to drive my car away. I noticed something was wrong when it wouldn't start up the first two times i tried. Someone recommended I try to press the gas at the same time and it finally turned on. It felt really shaky and i was unsure about driving away but I figured it would go away when I drove. I didn't get very far before the check engine light turned on and I realized I had a bigger problem. I brought it right back to the Jiffy Lube, they looked under the hood and told me it was probably due to an ill fitting air filter. Interesting. I've never had any of this mess happen before this supposed ill fitting filter. I had my doubts but was also freaked out at the prospect of my car stalling or getting stranded. I also know nothing about cars. The air filter bs didn't smell right at all but i bought one anyway hoping it would help solve the problem. Obviously it didn't. However, THEN the main mechanic in charge brought out his diagnostic machine and told me it had something to do with a spark plug and cylinder of some sort. He couldn't have done this before pushing me to buy a new air filter, though? Ok. So I left exasperated and will never be returning to a Jiffy Lube location again. This is shameful behavior and these men knew they were being dishonest. read more
